£35 a month for the basic? In what broken, deranged and delusional corner of existence does this price makes sense?

The planet seems to have collectively decided that logic is optional and value is whatever someone is desperate enough to accept.

I paid for a spotlight at peak time and never received one like. that says it all. so thats your top tip run the spotlight first and if you get nothing then don't pay for the subscription. will save you a ton of money and grief.

I agree I looked up hinges reputation before I went on and it said that it was one of the best sites. I went in and signed up for a subscription and wanted to sign up for a month and they signed me up for three months for $100 and I can’t get my money back. I’ll try and remain positive but yeah I’m not too happy with them.

I am suspicious that your profile is seen by no one unless you upgrade to HingeX, and probably also pay for boosts on top of that. I'm on standard Hinge and have had no likes in around five weeks, since joining. ZERO. I'm an attractive 57 year old woman, and am also contacting age appropriate men. Of maybe 50 messages sent, I think I've got maybe 2 replies. Something doesn't add up with this site ......

The worst meet app I never see, only there for your money run from this fake app and don’t use 1 $ in this one

Application appartenant au même groupe que Tinder, le groupe Match. Une catastrophe à tous le niveaux, une vraie pompe à sous vu la qualité médiocre de leur service qui vous pousse à payer encore et encore.
En plus de leur non respect du RGPD.
En plus de manque de sécurité sur leur plateforme.
Beaucoup d'arnaques et de faux profils d'Asie mais pas que.
A force de racheter tout le monde, ils ont en plus monopolisé le marché. Ils ont le droit de vie et de mort sur leurs utilisateurs, l'Europe devrait réagir contre ces groupes de m****.

Have tried this off and on for a year. Every action requires an incremental cost. $2.95 for a "rose" to connect with another person. Plus the subscription cost. There is no non-phone version! DO NOT USE THIS APP.

Hinge is a misleading and greedy rip-off company. Even if you pay for a subscription to Hinge+ (which I did), it costs you $4 every time you want to message the decent people that meet your profile criteria. I would never have joined if I knew this. What it means is that far from you having a choice of who to message when you pay to join, Hinge craftily (and dishonestly) holds back the profiles you really want to contact. They say these are Standouts and you must purchase a $4 "rose" to contact each of them. What a total fraud.

Beyond this here some other things you won't learn until you have forked over your membership fee (which is very very hard to cancel and get back btw):
- if you reject a profile, Hinge will just recycle it and show it to you over and over again
- the profiles have 6 photos and just three short pieces of text, hopelessly light on info
- after you send a message to a profile, it disappears and you have no way to track this or know how many messages you have sent
- initially, I received several Likes from obviously fake profiles that Hinge doesn't bother to weed out

Overall, Hinge is by far the worst dating site or app I have used. It is also the most dishonest and misleading. You have been warned.
