It took them less than 24H to take care of my problem, and it only took 1 single email, I feel that steam supported isn't held up to its standard it is way better than most supports because they require you to fill out overly complicated application just to retrieve an account back

This company took $100.00 out of my account today i did not sign up with you and ive never herd of you and i dont play games on computers put the money back into my account anyway ive got the bank investigating you now this company is fraudulent it needs to be shut down other thing i cant get into the website to make a complaint EVERYONE should stay right away from this mob
Stolen account recovered in less than 24 hours.
Sold my pc a few years ago and basically left steam to its own devices. In that time to now(when I’ve bought a new pc) someone had hacked my account, removed all my details and added their own, removed all my friends, the works.
Contacted steam support with proof of ownership (emails proving purchases on the account) and they reset the account, put it back to my name and gave advise on securing the account going forward, and all within the space of 10 hours from opening ticket to it being closed!
Icing on the cake? Dude had spent a few quid expanding my library so now I’ve got my account back AND more games to play!
Can not fault the customer service one bit!

Cause all these people do is this stuff, in the past i got banned for 6 weeks and 9 weeks - both unbanned after 8 and 13 days respectively because BOTH WERE FALSE TOO, yet somehow they dont wanna unban me now and provide me information on why im banned for 13 weeks, the moderator who abused me Steven is simply closing my requests and banning me from making new ones which is HIGHLY illegal.

After 2 days and 2 closed tickets, they finally told me they weren't going to help me.

I requested a refund not expecting to get one as I had played the game over the refund limit. But 1 hour later I got an email saying your refund has been processed and will be with you shortly. I am very pleased with how quick the customer support for refunds was.

Steam bots are banning people for what
made a new account and got banned because you have to add money to your account to authorise it, but adding money to my wallet was taking too long - minimum amount (£4) and it wouldn't let me purchase games with a pending charge. So cancelled that, bought the games, and got refunded instantly and banned.

If I could give 0 I would. Asked me for a CD key to verify account which ive not used in 12 years. Never bought anything with a CD key. Told them this multiple times and was constantly met with the response to send CD key.
Unsympathetic, doesn't read what you write at all, and responds every time with copy and paste results. When you cant give them the CD key they simply close the 'ticket' and leave you hanging.

Steam Support doesn’t even read your message and shifts blame
I tried to buy Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 during the 2025 Summer Sale. The offer was supposed to run until July 10th, but the discount disappeared early so I couldn’t purchase it at the advertised price, despite being well within the official sale period.
Steam Support gave me copy-paste replies that completely missed the point.
They treated it like a refund request (it wasn’t).
Then they tried to shift the blame to the publisher, saying Steam doesn’t control third-party discounts.
That’s simply not true. The offer was promoted on Steam’s own platform, with Steam’s own sale timer. If the deal is gone early, that’s still Steam’s responsibility. You can’t advertise something to millions of users and then walk away when it disappears too soon.
They closed the ticket without ever acknowledging what actually happened. No accountability, no support, just “case closed.”
Steam is great when everything works. But the moment something goes wrong, especially outside of refund scripts or account resets, you’re on your own.
Very disappointing and unprofessional.
Bought a game 2 months ago
Bought a game 2 months ago. Never played it. Don't intend on playing. Steam support is AI and automatically refuses a refund. There is no human support that can make empathetic or common sense decisions.

I had 2 of my email stolen some months back and although even my banks were able to recreate or replace every little piece of info needed, somehow Rockstar and Steam managed to ruin what ever little respect i had left.
Basically i requested an invoice to be send to my email as Rock star said they only accept invoices from emails, and steam refused to resend me my receipt. Then some guy named Mark send me another message saying we provided all the info we can and shut down my support request without providing me with the tiniest piece of their so called ''support''. Got to admit i dont really have much exp with these kind of situations since i never really needed their help but daum, they couldnt do worst even if they tried.
