Bed Bug Heat Treatment Arvostelua 

Treatment didn’t work. I told Luke the day I came back to the house that I had been bitten and then sent him another message. He then ghosted me and didn’t honour his guarantee. He originally cancelled my treatment the night before saying he had a bereavement. I was very sympathetic and understanding - I had just lost one of my best friends and was grieving as well as going through this rubbish. We rearranged. Now looking at these reviews and the excuses and the no shows it was probably a lie which is actually shameful if it was and I feel like a mug. I went into debt having this treatment, I was treated terribly by my work and forced to go on unpaid leave and told to get it sorted asap or I would essentially be replaced so I booked the heat treatment because they are so effective. So I was really relying on this to work and at least felt like if it didn’t he would come back. But Luke doesn’t care about any of that. I thought he was a nice guy but he will take your money, fail the treatment and not come back and ghost you. When I told him in my message I had been bitten and said that I a wasn’t satisfied - he hadn’t moved around any of my belongings to circulate the heat or anything - he brought up his family and his livelihood. What about mine. This past year has been extremely isolating, I’ve missed a lot of time with my terminally ill mother and I’m now hugely in debt STILL trying to tackle this issue because I need to be with my family. I didn’t even get to go to my friends parents house and grieve with the family properly and celebrate her life after her funeral because I just couldn’t risk it. It’s actually disgraceful. He should be absolutely ashamed that his failing service effects people’s lives. If he can’t honour his guarantee he should give people back their money. It’s that simple. I would ask how he sleeps at night knowing this but it’s probably quite well because the only successful heat treatment he’s done is probably on his own home.

Company is a scam and so is Luke, his treatment does not work and he is very unprofessional. He'll arrange dates and not turn up, not tell you and then won't bother to answer any calls or reply to messages. I've heard several different excuses as to why he couldn't turn up. On the rare occasion he does turn up, he will ask everyone to leave the house so he can do the treatment for a short time and won't even tell us that he's finished and would leave the front door unlocked. I'm still suffering from bed bugs and the original treatment was 6 months ago and I'm out of pocket £1500.

Paid £2000 for treatment back in October 2024 which failed and had to call them back . Reported to Chloe this week Feb 2025 that the bugs are back and we are replying on their 6 month guarantee which is clearly worthless as Bedbugaregone believe they have carried out their contractual obligations and there will be no refunds or re treatments are offered. Clearly profiteering on peoples misfortune and their treatments and guarantees are worthless.

As useful as an inflatable dartboard. This company shouldn’t be on Trust pilot because you can’t trust them to follow a recipe for toast.

Horrendous Experience Avoid at All Costs!

For your sake, do not use this service run by a guy called Luke. If you value your time, money, and sanity, keep reading.

Let me set the scene. Every time Luke comes to your house, you must strip all the beds, leave for four hours (usually in the middle of a working day), and return to what looks like a crime scene: Sofas overturned, beds flipped, and your house in chaos. It’s a logistical nightmare. But fine, I was willing to go through it if it meant ridding my home of fleas and mice.

The Beginning: False Hope

I called Luke after seeing glowing reviews. He sounded professional, and things started well. After explaining the situation, I paid the deposit, and he came to assess the house. I paid the full amount upfront, including two flea sprays and an extra £150 for mouse-proofing. Then the real infestation began, one of missed appointments, excuses, and vanishing acts.

Chapter One: The No-Shows Begin

The first scheduled appointment? Missed. Luke’s excuse? A ‘nightmare customer’ had delayed him. Okay, fair enough. We rebooked. The second scheduled appointment? Missed again. This time? A family emergency. Again, I was understanding (because, well, life happens). He even offered to refund me £150 as a goodwill gesture (spoiler alert: I still haven’t received it).
Finally, after multiple attempts, Luke actually showed up. He checked the mouse poison, saw it needed restocking, sprayed the house, and confirmed he would return to finish the job.

Chapter Two: Vanishing Act, The Flea-dini of Pest Control

January rolls around. No sign of Luke. No response to calls or texts. Then, I get a WhatsApp bounce-back. He’s on holiday. Fine, I wait. January 14th, I message again. Nothing. Two weeks pass. Calls from my phone, my wife’s phone? Ignored. Then, a eureka moment! I call him from my brother’s phone, pretending I have a bedbug problem (which, of course, is more lucrative). And what do you know? He calls back within three minutes. We book another appointment for January 28th. Guess what happens next? Yep. He doesn’t show up. Again. I try calling again, ignored. My wife tries, ignored. Even his company number, ignored. But we weren’t done yet.

Chapter Three: Outwitting the Master Ghoster

This time, I get my dad to call and claim he has a bedbug infestation. Luke calls back within five minutes. This time, I confront him. Enough is enough. We book one final appointment. I won’t tell you if he showed up or not, but if you’ve made it this far, I think you already know the answer.

He promises results, takes your money, then disappears only to magically reappear if he smells a bigger paycheck. If you enjoy playing detective, being ghosted, and being left with the same pests you started with, then by all means, hire Luke.

Otherwise? Save yourself the time, money, and frustration.

Absolutely first class service, explained the issue and they followed through and resolved the problem quickly, will certainly use their services again

I've had a bedbug issue in a HMO for many months and after 3 courses of insecticide and the bedbugs still present in the house, I decided to try heat treatment.
It's very expensive - £2500 for a 6 bed HMO, but seemed like the only way to eradicate the bugs once and for all, and the treatment COMES WITH A WARRANTY so I felt more protected knowing the company would return if any bedbugs remained.
In the lead up to the treatment, Luke was helpful and patient with our many questions, and on the day he arrived on time and worked hard. I was pleased.
Sadly, one of the tenants continued to suffer from irritation on his skin but it wasn't clear that bedbugs were the cause, so Luke would not return until we produced hard proof bedbugs were still in the property. This felt fair enough.
On finally receiving proof from the tenants of bedbugs in two rooms, Luke agreed to return.
However on the day of treatment, two of the rooms in the house were not properly prepared by tenants and he refused to do the treatment.
Although frustrating, I understood his reasoning. The tenants were furious, but I supported Luke's stance and calmed them down.
Communication started to really lapse after this and I needed to chase Luke constantly for replies to my messages and to rebook the appointment, which did not feel good, and I expressed this to him. Tenants were getting anxious for a resolution.
We did manage to rebook - for today 28th November 2024. Tenants have prepared their rooms and moved out for the day (some people WFH so need to set up camp elsewhere) - and I'm deeply disappointed to report that Luke has not responded to any of my messages, calls or voicemails for the past week. Multiple calls to him this morning (when I expect he would be en route to the house) have not been picked up nor returned.
As a business owner, I understand that things or life goes wrong sometimes so am forgiving of mistakes, busyness etc, and yet I am deeply disappointed by the way Luke has handled this situation.
I will be happy to update my review when the warranty for the treatment is honoured and carried out.

Great service from Heat and the Bugs are Gone. Luke and Craig were super knowledgeable, really friendly and well priced. I recently had a problem with bed bugs. This is the first time I have used this company, they offered a fabulous service. The job was done quickly and efficiently for a very reasonable price. I fully recommend using them and will be recommending them without a doubt.
