Clicketts Heath - great roomy house, beautifully decorated. Utility room is ideal for cleaning sand-soaked dogs and kids, plenty of room in the garage for surfboards, skimboards, bodyboards and assorted other detritus. Well thought-out kitchen with everything you might need, and lovely to find teabags, milk, welsh cakes and bara brith for refuelling on arrival. We'll be back!

All expectations exceeded! My husband and I, our 4-year-old daughter, and our dog Treacle, recently spent a wonderful week at White Cottage, just as the lockdown in Wales lifted and the nearby villages were coming back to life. We were worried that there would be nothing open (or very restricted) and that it might be challenging to fill a whole week, but nothing could be further from the truth. We were so busy with the beach right at the bottom of the (private) garden, and lots of other different beaches to explore on foot, all offering something different from sand to rock pools - there was lots to explore and do. We packed the week with bucket and spade activities, body boarding, paddle boarding, mackerel fishing (booked at the friendly kiosk is Saundersfoot), hired bikes for the afternoon with a little toddler trailer, not to mention exploring the nearby villages and enjoying great seaside fish & chips and obligatory ice creams!

There was so much to do on the doorstep - we barely touched the car all week.

The cottage itself was stunning. Everything looked brand new and all very high-quality furniture and fittings. We felt completely spoilt. Apart from proximity to the beach, the top-spec kitchen was a wow factor, as was the garden with its many seating areas to enjoy the views and sunshine from throughout the day/evening. The garden is all enclosed making it very relaxing for those with children or dogs.

On the one day that we had lots of rain, we made the most of the beach early before breakfast and then spent the rest of the day baking and enjoying the log burner, films and games. Bliss.

I can honestly say there was nothing that hadn't been thought of - everything was perfect. We couldn't recommend it more highly.

Having stayed here on multiple occasions, I can highly recommend it. Beautiful scenery which has to be seen to be believed. X

We have just celebrated a wonderful Christmas and New Year in this immaculate cottage. It is extremely cosy yet everything feels very new. We enjoyed the log fire, long walks on the beach and the proximity to Saundersfoot. Kim has done a fantastic job here and was very welcoming. Highly recommended but let’s keep it our secret!

Just back from a wonderful weekend stay at White Cottage. This beautiful cottage had everything required for a perfect break. Everything was immaculate and gave the impression that we were the first guests. Really comfortable and modern appliances. The garden was amazing and plenty of space for the dogs. Great position, close to the beach and Saundersfoot, Wiseman Bridge. Definitely recommend.

We'd walked past this cottage loads of times while it was being refurbished and were looking forward to staying in it. No disappointment at all, by far the nicest place we've stayed in down in the Saundersfoot area over the last few years.

The cottage has been refurbished to a very high standard and the interior and furnishings are tasteful, high quality and very comfortable. The living room has an open fire and kindling and logs are supplied. Lovely bathroom with a nice shower and plenty of hot water (but watch the step!!). The central heating was very effective on a couple of colder evenings.

It's right on Coppett Hall beach, adjacent to the very short tunnel that takes you straight into Saundersfoot, so only a 5 minute walk into the harbour. The other direction takes you to Wiseman's Bridge through the other 2 tunnels, about a 15-20 minute walk.

The large grounds are landscaped with a full complement of garden furniture, including a firepit/barbecue. It was also reasonably secure for our dogs although there are a couple of gaps they could get through so they needed to be kept an eye on. There's also a locked shed/garage with firewood for the open fire and this makes a nice secure storage area for stuff like bikes, surf boards etc. Plenty of parking for at least 3 cars.

The place was immaculately clean and tidy inside and out and a welcome pack with wine, coffee, milk, biscuits and fruit was provided. Communication with Kim via email and phone was both efficient and friendly both before and during our stay and one of the caretakers dropped off a gate for us to stop the pooches wandering upstairs. The cottage has its own broadband which was excellent most of the time, streaming Netflix, iPlayer etc. very well but we did have spells when it went down.

Not the cheapest place we've stayed but we felt it was good value and can't wait to stay again.

Amazing property in a superb location with the beech literally next door and the beautiful seaside town of Saundersfoot a 2 minute walk away. The property is finished to the very highest standard with absolutely everything you could need provided and a few welcome gifts to get you relaxed after the journey. A huge garden with plenty of secure space for even the most energetic 9 year old.

The White Cottage has been lovingly and tastefully extended and restored inside and out.The whole place is immaculate and looked like we were the first visitors although Kim told me the cottage had been available to rent for 7 months!
The kitchen is huge with wine, milk, cake, sugar, tea and coffee capsules were provided as well as all cleaning essentials. It is well stocked with stylish crockery, cutlery and glassware.I have never been anywhere where the plates matched the gravel in the garden!
There were even soaps and shower gel in the shower room and plenty of white towels. A spacious modern walk in shower and heated towel rail were most welcome.
Both bedrooms are beautifully presented with quality furniture wooden hangers and hotel quality linens.
The lounge area had a wood burning stove and a gorgeous comfortable leather sectional and wooden dining table and chairs.
The grounds are huge and pretty private with artisan wooden table 4 chairs and an umbrella at main level and another bistro table and chairs and a bench to enjoy the sea view on the elevated terraced behind the house . A fire pit with plenty of wood and kindling thoughtfully provided, was well used by the three of us each night of our 3 night stay.
The location is just the best! Stumble (1min) to beach, walk (3 mins) to Coast restaurant (spectacular) and walk (6 mins) to Saundersfoot village, walk on coastal path to Wiseman's Bridge and its shoreline pub and beyond.
The only things I would suggest would be 2 comfortable sun loungers for relaxing or reading.Those wooden chairs did become uncomfortable after extended periods enjoying the outside space.
Also an extra shelf or two in bathroom for the toiletries of potentially four people would be great!
Kim and Gabi were a delight to deal with by phone and by email and they were incredibly accomodating when we were delayed by traffic as we were travelling from Belgium.
I would not hesitate to recommend the White Cottage.

Our experience at White Cottage was just perfect! From the moment we booked I just knew it was going to be everything we hoped but it actually exceeded expectations. Not only was it an ideal location Hean Castle have also realised that dog owners love luxury too! Being dog friendly allowed us to have a real family break away (we have a black lab and 2 year old toddler!)

There was nothing that hadn't been thought of at white cottage. We arrived to a splash of Christmas still being visible but not too much (our break was over new year) and the really lovely small touches... No spoilers but let's just say it wasn't just milk ready and waiting for us!

The cottage was child proofed for us so a stair gate had verb added and bed guard and of course fire guard also.

We really did have a wonderful time and I cannot recommend it enough. We will definitley be coming back and already looking at a summer break to further utilise the beach that is on the doorstep.

I'm a harsh critic but White cottage well deserves a 5 star rating.
