Thank you for sharing your experience. We are genuinely very sorry to hear about the distress and discomfort you went through, particularly over the Christmas period. We understand how serious and upsetting it is when access to long-term medication is delayed, and we regret the impact this had on you.

For certain controlled medications, we are legally required to receive the original paper prescription before the medication can be dispensed. While an electronic prescription may be issued initially, the medication cannot be released until the paper prescription is physically received. This is a regulatory requirement designed to ensure patient safety.

Unfortunately, the Christmas and public holiday period caused widespread postal and courier delays, which affected the timing of some deliveries and were outside of our direct control. We are very sorry that this coincided with your treatment needs.

We would also like to clarify that Healistic’s role is limited to dispensing and delivery once prescriptions are received. Clinical care, prescribing decisions, and medical history remain strictly between patients and their prescribers. We intentionally keep clinical and logistical services separate to safeguard patient confidentiality.

While our service is designed to support prescribers and patients, we acknowledge that on this occasion it did not meet your expectations, and we are truly sorry for that. During periods of expected disruption, such as public holidays, we recommend prescriptions for ongoing or controlled medications are arranged well in advance wherever possible.

Due to the sensitive nature of the medication we handle, we must follow strict delivery protocols to ensure both safety and compliance. This includes requiring someone to be present to receive the package and limiting flexibility with delivery attempts. While this can sometimes create inconvenience, it’s a responsibility we take very seriously to protect our customers and the integrity of the products we deliver.

That said, this situation has fallen short of the reliable service we aim to provide, so we have escalated your feedback to the delivery carrier in question to see where communication and expectations can be improved in cases where delays in transit are incurred.

Since your order, we’ve expanded our delivery options to better support customers who aren’t always able to be at home. We now work with multiple delivery partners who offer a 1-hour time slot (sent on the morning of delivery), as well as postbox and safe place delivery options, all designed to make things more convenient and flexible for you.

Since then, we’ve expanded our network of partner pharmacies across the UK and islands to improve stock availability and enable earlier delivery options, including next-day delivery in more areas.
