Harvey Norman Ireland - Castlebar Arvostelua 

Online customer service was woeful, eventually managed to get through to the Castlebar store over the phone and they were excellent! Friendly staff in the store too.

Ordered a TV on line. Got email saying my purchase was ready to be picked up. Clicked on the link to say I was on the way, as I was tight for time, and hoped it would be a quick pick up.
Called into shop, and approached by harvey norman sales person. Mentioned I had a click and collect tv. He inputted all my details to verify, including purchase no., phone number etc and advised me that I would have to go to the back of the building to pick up my TV. Obviously clicking on the "I am on the way" did not work.

Drove around to back of building and rang bell.
Guy came out, and I told him I was sent around to pick up a click and collect. "I can't get that for you" was the response.
Told him I was sent around by someone in the shop.
"No, I cannot verify that" he responded
I said I had an order number if he wanted to check it, or if he wanted to call someone inside. "Its not my problem" he responded.
I told him that I had just purchased a TV from this store, and was sent around by a person in the shop to collect it from him, and that it was his problem.
" I am not dealing with you, you can collect your TV at the front desk" was the response.
I have never encountered such a level of incompetence in my life, and just pity anyone that has to call to the back of Castlebar Harvey Norman Store to pick up an item they have paid money for. I know one thing for certain is that I won't have to endure that again.

Fast delivery, respectful delivery guys and surprisingly the washing machine I got from them this time was €100 cheaper than at least one of the next "usual" big box retailers!

Alan completed the job of delivery and fitting new fridge freezer and took away the old one as promised in a very courteous and professional manner.

Employee lacked interest , enthusiasm throughout process.

First of all I was told in store by a staff member on the floor that I would have to pay €35 delivery and I said I’d pickup the item myself instead of getting it delivered for an extra €35 to then go home that evening and go online to the HN store and see there was a promotion on for free delivery on appliances over X amount and that the offer was available to me as I spent over that amount. I then went back into the store a few days later with the receipt and I told them the story and they sorted the issue and gave me free delivery. On delivery day I got a call at 10:25 from the delivery driver saying my item would be delivered between 1pm-3pm and I said could it be delivered at 3 as I’ll be home from work and they said no that it’ll be delivered closer to 1 o clock and that I’d get a phone call 30 mins beforehand. I then came home from work early at 12:30 waiting for delivery at 1pm and I got no call. I then got a call at 2 o clock saying it’ll be in the next 30 minutes and the delivered ended up arriving at 14:41. To same I’m extremely disappointed is an understatement, I don’t think I’ll be shopping with HN again due to the lack of communication from the shop floor and then the delivery driver(s).

Item not delivered on time or indeed at all. There was no call to explain the missing delivery. I had to call Dublin this morning to find out what was happening. I have since had a call from the delivery drive to say the delivery is this afternoon, we'd, but we reorganised our Tuesday to facilitate the delivery and I am out this afternoon. There was no call yesterday to say that the item wouldn't be delivered. Overall your customer service is poor at best, disjointed with no-one taking ownership of the problem, appaling at worst.
UPDATE:
I have agreed a new delivery date and the store has kindly refunded the delivery charge. Delivery is due to take place tomorrow morning. Here's hoping

We received our delivery on the day it was scheduled, but we have never been met by such a rude and abrupt individual doing a delivery to us ever, wether he was having a bad day or not, he was throwing the appliances around like he hated all + everything the 1st face you see from harvey Norman is the delivery guy, especially if it was an online purchase,we had
made our purchase about 5 weeks prior to the delivery as our kitchen wasn't ready to be fitted, 1st the gas hob when we opened it was missing 2 ring tops + when the the fridge was unpacked it also had a dent on the door, we are so annoyed we did not unpack and inspect all that we had purchased on the day, the day of our delivery there were 2 guys in the van, it was like they had argued, cause 1 of the lads actually looked frightened of the other guy that was driving and this is the guy that his behaviour was quite unacceptable, I'm just so sorry we didn't do this survey on the day it was sent, last week when the gas hob was missing the rings we did go back to the store in castlebar + Ciaran the man that originally looked after our sales looked after us again, what a great guy he is, he was the same the day we originally made all our purchases with him in March, the box with the fridge freezer in it was opened yesterday + as I said above there's a dent on the door, now we have to ring the shop again, I'm raging we didn't open all on the day they were delivered

I ordered an item online that I have been looking for. All sorted in moments and I just collected in at the store nearest to me (22kms) away. Saved me going all that way to find that I could not buy. When I arrived in store a very friendly lady immediately got me my item and I left.

A really lovely helpful lad in the castlebar branch. His name was Alan and surname began with W. Couldn’t have been more helpful and chatty. A pleasure to deal with

Ease with buying online through humm. It was seamless. The delivery men were very helpful unpacked and put my new fridge freezer in place, they even plugged it in.

Customer orientated while being both professional and approachable.
