Refund

I booked a weekend through happy rooms to Niagara falls....2 hours later I realized I had to cancel it and after calling happy rooms 4 times, and finally getting a manager to speak to me, she was very evasive about our refund....I asked when and how long to refund my MC, and she just kept saying " some days, some days" . I called MC and they said if happy rooms could just call them with a bit of info, they could reverse the charge right away. I called happy rooms yet again and they refused to call MC. I started to get a bad feeling that I was being scammed big TIME... I am terrified they will not return my 425$ to my MC. The other problem is when you call this weird #, you have no idea where you are calling and how much this is costing us?? I just want my money back so I can re book another weekend...also I emailed happy rooms and no reply!

mistake has been fixed

They canceled my booking 3 month after i ordered and said there was a thecnical mistake,
after talking to them they contacted the hotel and rebooked the room.

Do not Use

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - We tried to book a £40 deal with Novo Hotel in Greenwich via this site, the £40 had gone but they could offer a £70 room, we booked and got a confirmation advising our booking. I then had a e-mail from them telling me the hotel was booked and to go to the Travelodge when i complained they offered me a superior room however I had to pay upfront and claim the rest back after our stay. The English spoken was very poor and they do not seem to accept they are in breach of contract.I have since re-booked with another Hotel - They also repeatedly ask for my credit card to pay upfront and send it via an non secure e-mail and I too am convinced this is a scam so I would not give this information

NEVER book through Happyrooms.

Having booked a room in London through 'Happyrooms' and receiving a confirmation e-mail, I arrived at the hotel to check in.

I was then told that my reservation didn't exist, that the hotel doesn't work with 'Happyrooms' and that absolutely could never offer rooms at that price.The lady that served me then remembered my name and said that she had been called by a man who said he was from 'Happyrooms' about three times trying to confirm the booking. Everytime she said that they can't confirm it because they don't offer rooms at that price, yet he never let me know this and I had received a confirmation.

She called 'Happyrooms' to try and deal with the problem and to explain what had happened. The man she spoke to said he had called the hotel and they had confirmed. Seeing as it was the same lady at the hotel on the phone and she knew that she had told him it couldn't be confirmed, he was obviously lying. He then said he had just spoken to the manager of Novotel (while the receptionist was on hold), yet the manager had received no such call and the 'Happyrooms' employee couldn't tell her the managers name when asked.

This is all a huge scam, judging by the previous reviews and the disgusting way in which 'Happyrooms' found it acceptable to leave a customer who had travelled a long way without any accommodation or any empathy. Before they come up with some ludicrous excuse as I have seen on the below reviews such as "I left my booking too late" or something, no I booked with enough time and the hotel was adamant that this is some kind of scam website, as they were repeatedly lying and unprofessional. I have cancelled my bank card since this ordeal and recommend that nobody ever even considers booking with 'Happyrooms' despite the appealing cheaper prices. I had an incredibly hard week this week personally, in addition to all the hassle with 'Happyrooms' and I cannot believe that there are people working for this apparent company that have the audacity to be so inhumane, unsympathetic and soulless. No response from 'Happyrooms' will change this opinion and I think it is appalling that any booking company should leave a paying customer in a different city without a roof over the heads, or even an apology.

I ended up booking a travel lodge because of the problems and because the hotel could not offer me a room anywhere near the price 'Happyrooms' claimed it could.

I will be making a number of formal complaints and will be taking this much further with this shambles of an inhumane, unorganised and dishonest company.

NOT BOOKING ON MY BEHALF‏ IN THE HOTEL

Update - After contacting the support team they fixed the problem and made the reservation on my behalf. It was easy to catch them by phone - email. Thanks to Alex for great customer service!

I made a reservation and after talking to the Hotel they told me that there are not reservations on my behalf and also that they dont work with happyrooms.
I called happyrooms customer service several times and i didn't receive a help yet. They always said that will send me a email after but im still waiting a solution.

Didn't got the hotel I booked

Update - after contacting the support team they fixed the technical problem and got me the the hotel I want. It was easy to catch them by phone/chat. Thanks to Alina for great customer service!

I made 2 reservations last week and after talking to the hotel they said threre are no reservations on my behalf. I emailed costumer service and had few chats day after day and as for now they didn't confirm the hotel I booked for but they keep telling me to wait for them to work things out. I also paid extra to be charched at the hotel but they already charged me...
Ishould be at London next week and still not sure in which hotel...

made 6 reservations but hotel don't have any information!!!

Update- in two days the reservation was confirmed and everything was ok but the best thing was the price - half the price in comparison with all the other websites!

I made 6 reservations this week but didn't get any confirmation number and after talking to the hotel they said they don't work with the website!!! talked and emailed costumer service but they keep telling me to wait for them to work things out, only one problem I am supposed to be there next week and now I'm in a limbo while they already were quick to charge me.I can't understand this conduct wjat kind of costumer service is this????

never got my money back after cancelling the room way before the deadline. its been more than 50 days already !!!!!

I am writting from india and had booked a room through happyrooms. after which i had to cancel the booking. since then i have wrote to them multiple time and had word at the helpline number provided but got zero response. its been more than 50 days since i canceled the reservation but have not received any response leave alone the money which is mine. i will never ever recommend happyrooms to any of my colleagues. so people who are planning to make a booking through them in india PLEASE DON'T. Poor decision from my side.Hope this review will save many people from the hassle i had to go through. The booking reference no is XI-HZ-19197542

HAPPYROOMS FOLLOW UP!

At the end of June I made a reservation through Happyrooms,things went wrong,I was overcharged and I got mad.But the head of complaints team(I don't know if I'm allowed to write his name) replied very quickly.The only thing I had to do was to send them by email the receipt of our stay.After that they put the difference of the amount into our account.To be honest,I didn't expect that.Excellent feedback and problem solving mentality!Thanks!My next reservation will be definately through Happyrooms!

You really can see a good company when things do not go well. There was a problem with our hotel booking. Eugene promptly, efficiently, and effectively fixed the problem. We are in the new hotel and are extremely happy. All of the people I spoke to at Happyrooms were polite and made great efforts to help. It took less than 12 hours to exceed our expectations.

Sales support needs improvement

I was searching hotels in Mumbai on trivgo.com and they diverted me to happyrooms.com
I made two bookings
One hotel gave me the confirmation next day that my room is booked.
But the other hotel didn't confirmed my booking.
I wrote two emails on there customer support about the issue but got reply from them after 5 days about the confirmation.
They should improve there support and it should be quick.

Finally fixed...

September 17 - I will amend my comment here.... Happyroooms.com did finally acknowledge my problem and came through with their promised compensation of my problem AFTER I wrote this original post.... they certainly came through ... I do appreciate their efforts ... (I'm not even going to ask for the money back for the phone bill to call overseas!)

Beware Happyrooms.com...I booked a room through them for a five day stay in Boston... had it confirmed.. then when I got to the hotel in Boston, they had no such reservation... so I called the hotel I was suppose to be at, and found out that the room was booked in Toronto Ontario. (just a little outside as Bob Eucker would say...) I was lucky that the hotel I wanted to stay at had a few rooms left (everything was booked around the area at the time)I talked to a representative of Happyrooms.com who said they would refund my newly booked hotel charge which was almost double what I had already spent.
When I sent them my hotel bill, they did refund the amount Happyrooms.com originally billed me, and then asked for my banking details so they could deposit the remainder in my account..
That was May 28... I have emailed them and called numerous times.. and nothing....
I have a bad feeling that I am not going to see my approx. $600 USD difference...

Average experience

6 Aug update: I received an email from the company last week and received a refund. I accepted their apology.

Great Customer Services

I made a booking in one of the hotels in Irvine via Happyrooms.com, and seems there was an error in the system when I made my booking. I have been charged and after checking with the hotel I found out that the reservation has not been made. I was very frustrated and contacted happyrooms's customer services. After sharing my complaint with them the head of reservation contacted me and from that point everything turned from negative to positive I got customer services compensation in addition to new reservation. Everything went smooth and they kept their promise.

HappyRooms.com is a scam to avoid [-- problem resolved, but read update for caution.]

WARNING: Totally avoid HappyRooms.com at all cost! Not worth it at all... I was recently in Ireland from Canada with a colleague to attend a film festival. On our way back to airport through cities in Ireland, we travelled to Dublin and booked a standard bunk bed room at the Isaac Hostel through HappyRooms.com. That was a big mistake. We ended up paying way more than two beds for two days was worth, pretty much over double the price. We thought we were paying for a single room with two beds arranged as a bunk bed. The helpful staff at the Isaac Hostel were baffled, because that didn't exist, and they didn't receive our reservation there until, it turned out, the next day. All they had were 4 to 16 people bunk bed rooms. So we called the number provided to contact HappyRooms. That was the wrong number provided by HappyRooms.com. The staff decided to call the Isaac Hostel number provided by HappyRooms.com, because they didn't recognize it. It was the wrong number as well, the number to the hostel next door, where we went to check, and we didn't have a reservation there either. In the end, it was 2AM, we were exhausted from the the travelling and bad experience, and I ended up having to call VISA to cancel my card in case of more possible future fraud while trying to halt the current fraudulent charge. It was a horrible experience. Save yourself the trouble. Do not purchase anything through HappyRooms.com.

AN UPDATE:

HappyRooms.com refunded me $185,69 USD back to my credit card in June 2015 to make up for their mistake. I wish their mistake had never happened so that my colleague and I could have enjoyed our trip to Ireland all the way. That said, I am glad that HappyRooms.com reached out to me to resolve this issue after I wrote this review, and it is at their request that I am writing this update. My advice to anyone reading this is that if you choose to use HappyRooms.com or any other online service to book a room at a hotel or hostel, call that hotel or hostel first to make sure that you are indeed getting what is advertized on that online service website before making any purchases or reservations. That way, you can enjoy your trip all the way without any worries at all. Good luck!

Made a reservation for a business trip to Oman. I've been begging them to send me a receipt for this booking via emails (at least 6 or 7) and phone calls. All my emails have gone unanswered, called them many times, and only once the call was answered by a Russian lady that hardly spoke English. She advised that her manager was going to look into this issue (don't understand why sending a receipt is an "issue") and revert, 4 days later I'm still waiting. I would advise people to stay away from this highly suspicious Russian company.

HAPPYROOMS.COM cancelled reservation.. why!!??

Why would they book a confirmed reservation for me on 3/4/15 take out $148.56 from my card and then all of a sudden cancel my reservation notifying me by email today, 5/29/15 6 or so days before my trip..but the hotel in reno nv circus circus still confirms the dates reserved.. happyrooms.com won't email Me back and the phone numbers.aren't good anymore.. UPDATE:: the support team responded and apologized for the inconvenience and my $148.56 was refunded and into my account the next day.. I actually went thru Circus Circus Reno directly and this month vs in March it only costed $151.00 & upon check-in I'll receive 20% off cause of a 2 night stay.. SWEET..
