Really easy app to use

I have using the Hapi app for years. Really easy to use. Just buy discounted vouchers for places I was going to anyway. Use mostly for supermarket shopping. The voucher is sent straight to my phone. I just do a screenshot of it.
Simple.

Misleading “27% Discount” on Odeon Tickets — Don’t Be Fooled

I’m extremely disappointed with Personal Group and their Hapi app. They advertise a 27% discount on Odeon cinema tickets, but this is completely false and misleading. The vouchers don’t work as promised — instead of saving money, you are forced to pay more on top of the voucher price. So not only do you not get the advertised discount, you actually end up being charged extra.

When I raised this with their support team, I was met with inconsistent excuses and evasive answers from different staff members. Rather than fixing the problem, they seemed to justify these deceptive practices with a whole host of different comical reasons, which points to a systemic issue with their offers.

I have reported this to my company’s HR team and my bank. This situation should never have escalated this far.

I’m writing this review to warn potential users and HR decision-makers: do not trust the advertised discounts or vouchers on the Hapi app, especially for Odeon tickets. Always check the real cost yourself. Their so-called “discounts” are misleading and end up costing you more.

Avoid at all costs.

Created a £132 e-voucher for the National Trust for an annual joint membership, transpired that it can't be used in Scotland. Why as someone who lives in Scotland and works for ScotRail is being targeted by unusable discounts. Applied for refund and refused so £132 lost. Have now uninstalled app will never use again.
Quite a few of my team have removed the app as well due to my experience. Will ask my company to review whether if there is a more transparent alternative to Hapi as they bang on about tees and cees, however voucher creation for most of us is at the point of sale and when there's is a queue behind you, you don't have time to look for well hidden gotchas.
