Full price for an issue not resolved
I can't say I am happy about paying £375 for an issue that wasn't resolved. Apart from that, a lamp got chipped (only after I asked about it, it was brought up -- but i did get £35 off, hardly the value of the john lewis lamp to replace), I have finger marks on the white ceiling and I had to clean after. Worst of all is that the issue was not resolved, I was left in pretty much the same state but around £400 less on my account and marks on the wall and lamps.

Handy Experts were quick, great communicators and they managed to book Nathan, a fantastic Plumber within a few hours. He was so efficient and helpful and sorted the job very professionally.

Pricing increased 3 fold
Quoted pricing increased over three fold from £99 origional quote.
Company ability to organise an appointment was also an issue. First appointment week zero, then they re-arranged for the next week, then contacted 30 minutes before the end of the appointment that it would be the next day 8:30am, the excuse was unbelivable. Next day 12:30pm called and told I was not contactable despite no missed calls.
The actual plumbing was totally fualtless and quick. Customer services were very polite and amicable.
I should have done this myself, easy peasy job. Just too busy fixing other IT+ problems.

We are sorry that you have chosen to express your dissatisfaction in this way after you were given the opportunity to raise any issues at the time of invoicing, as well as via the customer feedback survey, or indeed when we phoned and asked you directly if you were happy with the service.
The sum of £99 was never presented as a quote, it is the standard cost for anything up to an hour's labour, as stated on the booking call, as well as in the booking confirmation email you were sent. When our plumber attended your property and assessed the work required, it was clear that the job would take more than an hour's labour so he offered you a no obligation fixed price quote which included all labour & materials. You agreed, paid the deposit, and we completed the job.
We welcome all feedback and understand the importance of reviews to people looking for reassurance, but when the reviews are misleading they must be balanced with a measured response.

I always think it is a difficult situation when you need to get trades in to sort out problems but Handy Expert were very good when contacting myself to discuss the job to take place and everything was done correctly.
I have now booked them to come back and sort out some other electrical work.

Extortionate electrical charges.
In instructing this Company to provide an EIC, I was informed that substantial extra works were required to make the system compliant, to which I agreed.It was not until later that I found I’d been charged 10 times the normal amount for several standard items eg a simple light switch, costing £10, ex-labour, was charged at £225!
This was the last of many problems with this company, which they always deny. Go elsewhere.

Unstable Toilet Seat
Unstable Toilet Seat. Contacted Wednesday afternoon, good email booking correspondence. Handyexpert then arrived next morning. Provided 45 minutes notice of arrival. Turned up and rectified the toilet seat in 30 minutes, back to good condition. Able to advise on loose tiling above toilet. Very good result, would use them again if needed.
