I recently went to Turkey to get a FUE transplant from Asmed Clinic from all the way in London. This was a really daunting prospect as I travelled alone and didn’t know what to expect.

As soon as I arrived from the airport, I was picked up by my Asmed driver Harun who was really nice. After reaching the clinic (where I was staying for the duration of my procedure) I noticed the quality of facilities and can already tell its leading edge.

With regards to my surgery, it was much less painful than I initially expected, which was down to Asmeds wonderful team of ensuring my safety but also constantly asking if I’m feeling pain and planning accordingly. The surgery was 4200 grafts and was done over two sessions, which shows that they took their time with extractions and planning for the maximum result which is ideal as other clinics tend to do this procedure in a day.

The Ke-bot robotic system was amazing and I was fascinated by the way it calculated my grafts in my donor area and planned for a natural look without overharvesting.

I want to give a special shout out to my coordinator Suzana who made the whole process less terrifying for me and stayed/assured me throughout the surgery and pre/post op. Also, big thanks to the surgical team who were brilliant and of course Dr Koray himself who done my incisions and planning.

I’m glad the research I done worked in my favour, and I hope this review can reach anyone who is doubting to go to Asmed as I was initially, especially being so far away in London. I am 2 weeks post op and my hairline has completely been transformed already but will give another review once my hair has grown post 6 months.

ASMED exceeded my expectations and I am really looking forward to my final results. Before picking ASMED, I had a couple friends that had gone to Turkey at other clinics and their transplants were great, BUT in research those clinics, I think my friends got lucky. There is a lot of hair mills in Turkey that just try to push people through as quick as possible. Both of my friends mentioned how much pain they were in during their surgery and recovery and really prepped me for that experience.

But ASMED was a completely different experience. My coordinator, Sevinc, was excellent and answered all my questions before flying over. When I arrived, the driver picked me up and took me to the clinic where I would be staying. The clinic is set up like a hospital, which I prefer because everything is right there and sterile and clean. My first day there was prep/blood work, photos, drawing the hairline (by Dr. Erdogan), meeting with multiple doctors and technicians to go over the full plan for the next day. Sevinc was with me the whole time in case I need translation or had questions about what was happening. The technology that was used (including a robotic arm that analyzes your hair before and after) really put me at ease that they wouldn't over harvest my donor area and really have this down to a science.

I will be honest that my nerves about the potential pain during the surgery didn't let me sleep much the night before surgery, but before I knew it I was in the surgical room. Dr. Erdogan entered and did my incisions for the front hair line. The other doctor (I forget her name) did all the other incisions. The technicians did all the extractions and implanting (which they are experts at).

Here is the amazing part....I had NO pain. They did numb me with a lidocaine block and gave me a Xanax for the day. They did check in regularly to make sure I was numb and added more lidocaine if I was starting to feel anything. Also again their technology is above anything else I have seen out there. I could see during the extraction how many of each follicle they extracted (1 hair, 2 hair, 3 hair, etc.). During the implant stage, I could watch everything they were doing through a camera and tv screen, It was fascinating to watch! Anyway, after a full day with 4 technicians work on my as a team, I went back to my room (I truly appreciated everything being in the same building so I didn't have a taxi ride right after surgery).

I was given some pain medication to help with any post procedure pain. Dr. Erdogan and his team came in shortly after the surgery to see the results and how I was doing. I did take the pain medication as I again was terrified of the pain my friends' experienced at other clinics. Well, I slept that night, woke up with no pain. I had significant swelling which is completely normal for a few days post surgery, but no pain. I did my first wash with the technician, then they walked me through all the medications, shampoos, and dos/don'ts for the coming days. I took my post surgery photos as well. They gave me a neck pillow, folder with information, all the necessary medications/shampoos, and my before/after surgery photos (via email).

I am now 2 weeks post treatment and while I had swelling, I never had pain to this day. I didn't take any other pain meds other than the surgery night and that is all I needed. The swelling was a bit of a surprise two to three days post surgery, but that quickly went away. I am now waiting for the shedding phase, but I can see what my hairline will look like once the hair grows in fully and I am so thrilled to get to that point.

If you are looking at other clinics, do your research and yes, ASMED is more expensive that other places in Turkey, but you get what you pay for. And it is still significantly cheaper than US/Canada or European clinics. Plus Dr. Erdogan is the President of the World FUE Institute and has developed a lot of the amazing technology I mentioned above. So if you are going to get a transplant, why not get it from the best? ASMED is definitely your clinic!

I came from NYC and spoke to a few different clinics, and all of them pale in comparison to ASMED. The treatment, the technology, cleanliness, the staff - everything was top notch.

We were hesitant when we heard the price and almost declined, but after we agreed and went forward, we felt it was worth every single penny.

You are assigned a staff member/coordinator to be there every step of the way and post surgery. We were assigned Arzu, and she was absolutely incredible - she was a large reason why we agreed to go to ASMED. Definitely request her when booking.

I’m still in the healing process, but so far I am thrilled with the care and prospective results.

I had a hair transplant at ASMED Clinic year ago between 6-10th May 2022, suppose to share my experience about it, but I prefer to wait until I see results which was fantastic, I didn’t believe that I will have this look again, it was a dream for me to see my hair covering my head after a long time being semi bald,

Let me now share details about the ASMED clinic & the staff, first of all I have to say that I was searching for the right clinic for more than 5 years, some of I visited in UK nevertheless the search over the internet,
I have visited some clinics to see and be sure how the surgery will take place, I wasn’t satisfied of what I experienced, it wasn’t professional, and lack of many things could help me see the confidence for such step to take,
I expanded the search to the top 10 hair transplant clinics in some countries, then searched for every one of them until I found ASMED which from the first look I felt that this is the one am looking for and it WAS.
The clinic is well equipped, belt to the extreme standard of only hair transplant clinic, no other! As it has the updated technology to specify and counting hair grafts by sophisticated equipment with a well-trained staff on it, a studio specified for tacking pictures of head before, during and after surgery, not mentioning also about multi surgery rooms available, the patient rooms like a hotel, well the whole place like a 5-star hotel. Gym, training court, café, cleanness, and top services.
I recommend ASMED Clinic without hesitation, they treat you like a prince what do you want more than that, and the most important issue here is the result you want a fine hair covering your head and they do it professionally.
I thank all ASMED Clinic staff kind, polite supportive, hospitable and on the top of them Dr. Korai Erdogan, as I appreciated the enormous help and support from Patient Coordinator Servinc, and the kindest nurse at this clinic Ozgur I call her ASMED ANGLE, and she is.
In conclusion, I highly recommend ASMED Clinic, the result that I have now is enormous, now I will return back for the crown. Thank you

Last week I had a hair transplant done by Dr. Korai Erdogan. It is important to say that I am a very thorough person, so before the procedure I did a research examination of the field for a few months. Really a test of other clinics and other doctors. After my examination I came to the conclusion that Dr. Korai Erdogan is the best in the field. I would also like to mention that the service given to me by the coordinator Suzanne was amazing. I received an answer to every answer before the treatment, during the treatment and after. It is true that I am at the beginning of the recovery process and I need patience for the whole process, but I have no doubt that this is the place and the most suitable doctor for a hair transplant. My hair transplant went very well, I did not expect it to be this good in terms of hygiene and cleanliness, it cannot be better. They took very good care of me while I was in the operation, while I was staying there, even after the operation. The whole team made me feel like I was the most important thing right now. I don't need someone by my side, there is always someone to help from team. Mrs. Alina has been a constant support in all processes. months have passed since the operation, she provides constant support, instant answers, constantly checking how the situation is going. people feel very good at ASMED. thanks, thanks Mrs. Alina, thanks Mr. Koray Erdogan.

In Summary: Overpriced and seriously under delivers - for the price paid i should have stayed in Europe. Requested the B package which states the incisions are performed partially by the ASMED Team and partially by Dr. Koray Erdogan – this never happened. Dr. Koray came in and created the incisions for the hairline itself, and then left, must have been in the room less than 10-15min of an operation which took 14hrs (x2 7-8hr sessions) – how is that partially? Furthermore, aftercare after leaving the clinic has been abysmal. My client coordinator, Sevinc, has been disinterested and has to be chased for answers and information. Seriously, if I could do it all again I would avoid ASMED. I feel there are much better options out there for the same price, that WILL give you the service you pay for.

I am glad that I chose this clinic for my operation. I am incredibly happy with the procedures applied, general condition of clinic / hygiene, cleaning, following up after the operation ; in short every services that the clinic ensured.
I did not have any problems after the operation.
Since the very first day, I am fully satisfied about the results.
I am willing to be a good reference for the clinic and could share details with the ones who is thinking about an operation at Asmed.

Clinica super ! Organizzatissimi in tutto .vieni letteralmente seguito e cullato a più non posso durante tutta la tua degenza ..si nota che curano molto i particolari che altre cliniche non farebbero .. è più cara delle altre in Turchia ma li vale tutti e ci si accorge subito appena entrati che c'è una preparazione e professionalità superiore che per un trapianto bisogna tenerne di conto..il ragazzo che parla in italiano Alessio è bravissimo riesce a coordinare tutto in maniera molto professionale ..credo per la tecnica fue sia una delle migliori cliniche al mondo .sono soddisfatto della scelta fatta ..

ASMED is a beautiful clinic. All the staff are wonderful. Dr Koray Erdogan is a master of his craft. My patient coordinator, Suzana was so helpful every step of the way, and lovely in person. We all do lots of research when we’re looking for hair transplant clinics, and trying to find the right one. This is the right one! You won’t regret it.
