They are ok they have a massive range of products the only problem is they have no costumer service, I got my stuff in the end but is a bit hard to get someone to talk.If they fix their costumer service they will be great!

I ordered a week ago I bought a singular kali stick and it hasn't arrived when I tried to email them they never RESPONDED wish I had read the reviews first! DONT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! SCAM!!!!!

I don’t normally write reviews, however after reading some of the gymrat poor reviews I thought I’d describe my experience. After placing the order I promptly received email confirmation, but then nothing. I checked trustpilot and feared the worst. However the order did arrive after 7 days of the order date, but with no communications.I Ordered 2 x bokkens and 2 x tantos and have no issues with the quality. The experience could of been much better with a dispatch email etc.

I have never been received the order, the company sent the tracking number how shows 3 items delivered to one city far away from London and my delivery address is in London.
I have been sent all documentation for providing this information but I have no received my money back and any items. Bad experience!

Ordered on the 8/12/22 one of the items never arrived. It is now the 11/02/2023 and I have tried contacting them multiple times but to no avail. It’s been over 2 months now

Second time iv ordered, I gave benefit ot a doubt after bad service first time. This time i ordered over a week ago and nothing, no items, no updates, no response to emails etc....
Avoid.

I ordered a treadmill from Gym Rat, it was only after i placed my order i read the reviews and was thinking have i done the right thing, tried contacting and no answer so tried few moore times and got through to them.

Excellent service treadmill arrived next day after being told it had been despatched good quality and as described, would deffinately recommend to anyone looking to buy good quality fitness equipment.

Dont be put off by the bad reviews as i now know that i recieved an excellent service, really pleased would deffinately use Gym Rat again.

Parcel never arrived. Been trying to get in contact with the company for nearly 3 weeks with no reply. Telephone number on the website also doesn't work. AVOID

I ordered a boxing bag weeks ago 0 answer 0 shipment basicly gymrat stoled 420 pounds from me and put me in situation wheree i canot even tske money back as noone is answering the Phone. Total joke. Ill be passing case to solicitors basicly worst customer service in uk

Mixed review I guess. Had some initial problems with product being sent and unable to contact company. Owner contacted me to apologise and got item to me next day. The bench arrived mostly built up ( not sure if that was normal as handbook gives instructions to build completely from scratch) still not complaining. Bench had tear on underside and scratches on metalwork. Also parts of it appeared to have like crumbs on ridges. As if it had been used (also as some foam parts and plastic parts damaged. To be honest it doesn’t I interfere with the using of bench but would maybe think twice before using again with so many issues.

Not happy at all with this company, I ordered inositol powder from them 26th November. There has been a Royal Mail strike but it’s not been every day and I should have it by now. Also, customer service is slack and will take ages to respond to messages and don’t answer the phone. Wish I’d read the reviews on here first. Will not be shopping here again.

I ordered a gym bag which was showing as in stock, after a few days there was no update to delivery, si I emailed in. I was assured the item would be dispatched within 48 hours. I waited another 24 hours after and emails again to be told it was going to be dispatched within 48 hours. so again I waited until the day after. this time when I asked about the delivery, I had no reply at all, just a refund.
Avoid this company, they will show stuff in stock which isn't, lie to you to say it is in stock when you ask, and give false promises on made up delivery timescales. the only reason they got 1 star is because there was nothing lower

Gym rat again let me down said it will be with you Monday Tuesday latest now Wednesday rang them up and now they say it's in customs awaiting dispatch so liars they are fob you off no generous amount of discount for my inconvenience and take money when no product at end of it so thumbs down for me promise everything but can't deliver my advice is go elsewhere and buy real merchandise from a retable company who specialise in these sort of things. Not from aback street amature.also when you ring up it rings then goes answer phone but you can hear people in background and they never answer the phone stay clear folks you have been warned.

My order was placed on the 4/11 I got a confirmation email the same day I thought great. I then received and email on the 7th explaining my order was unavailable but the had the same item in a different colour would I accepted this instead I replied with yes that's absolutely fine to then have no further emails,shipping was upto 3 days but day 4and 5 passed I had emailed them but no response and I've emailed 4 or 5 time plus tried co call the number but had no luck at all. The date today is the 15th and I've heard nothing back since the 7th.

Ordered the other week back. Now awaiting delivery of some training items for my Krav Maga studies.

Update - Customer services have advised by email directly that there is a hold up in supply of order, pending an item coming back into stock with them. It is good they keep you informed.

after receiving the WRONG item and getting no reply to sending photos as requested and emails id gave up! to now...WEEKS later getting an email from these scam artists asking if id like to give my opinion/review on the item i SHOULD have received is beyond belief!!! AVOID this company!!!!!
theyve actually sent a 5% off coupon? i wouldnt use this company if it was 99% off!!!! whats the point of discount if youre sent the WRONG item??

So my partner brought a bokken (wooden sword), saya (scabbard) and sageo (hanging cord) set from these guys. It was due to arrive on 21 September, 23 September latest. It did not arrive and I needed it that Friday. My partner got in contact with them and immediately the issue was sorted out and the set arrived on 27 September. This has earned Gym Rat a 5 star rating for customer services. However, every piece of the equipment was damaged one way or another, losing them two star ratings. I appreciate the set is cheap and a 'good' beginner set for starting a weapon based martial art. Unfortunately each item as described was damaged as follows:
Bokken: damage to the kashira which had to be sanded back but is still obvious, tsuka also needed a minor sanding to smooth out, as did the entire munei. There is visible indented end grain along the munei and minor grain indents along the ha so I do not know how long it will last!
Tsuba: this is Blitz tsuba which came with a visible dent to the front piece, this needed filing back.
Habaki/dome: this is supposed to be white rubber but in reality looks like a marbled grey - this is after I attempted to clean it. It looks as if someone has had black grease on their hands and then smeered it all over the habaki, both inside and out!
Saya: it is very cheap plastic molding, again I did not expect a lot from a cheap set but it does not even fit the bokken correctly. After widening the koiguchi more it fitted a little better but the bokken catches about a third of the way from the kojiri which is a pain when trying to withdraw/replace the bokken.
Saego: minor freying on the ends, what more was I to expect?
All these minor things add up to a larger issue. Fortunately I was able to sort them out with sanding, filing and trimming. However, this may not be the case for others so bear this in mind. If budget is not an issue I would recommend buying a set from a seller recommended by your own dojo members. If however you are unable to do that or want a cheap set then I would say go for Gym Rat with knowledge you may have to correct some minor issues.
