Amazing host & company!
Felt very safe and everyone is just like minded. It was amazing to just have my brain turned off and have everything prepared for me. We also get a few hours to ourselves and activities are beginner friendly.

I travelled to Croatia with Gutsy Girls for a paddleboarding and kayaking trip around the island of Molat near Zadar. The weather in late September was glorious and the land and seascapes stunning. It was my first experience travelling alone on an adventure holiday and I was quite nervous, but I needn't have worried. I felt incredibly well looked after by our Gutsy Girls host, whose warmth, sensitivity and friendliness made team-bonding effortless.
At 59 I was quite a bit older than the rest of the squad but this didn't seem to matter at all and I was never made to feel embarrassed about being less fit and strong than the others. Our paddleboarding and kayaking instructor was also lovely.
The food was excellent and our evenings were accompanied by lots of wine and conviviality. Our accommodation was basic but clean and comfortable.
I would highly recommend this travel company, with the proviso that 6 days' full-on outdoors activity, especially trying things you've never done before, is demanding both physically and emotionally. If that is a challenge you're keen to accept you will love this holiday.

Just back from a wonderful short break in Sardinia/Bosa. Activities were well organised and perfect for the various levels within the group of 12 women. The accommodation was of good standard and centrally located. Bonus was the great choice of restaurants picked for lunch and dinner that was included in the trip! Both Gutsy and local guides friendly, knowledgeable but professional. Definitely use this company again.

Great organisation. Full itinerary which pushed me out of my comfort zone, not too much, but enough to make me feel proud of my achievements. Great group of like-minded women, all seeking adventure. Wonderful host and guides.

Honestly this trip was so much better than I expected. Bosa was a beautiful city, not too crowded in September as well. The weather was lovely, water was warm and not too much wind. Hannah our host was amazing, would definitely be looking to do another trip that she is the host of again! She was so organised and easy to get on with. My group was a great bunch of ladies who came from a range of different countries and ages but we got on so well. The guides in Bosa were fantastic as well! They were super helpful and very patient. The activities for the week were great fun and we had stunning weather too which helped. This is definitely a beginner trip as the activities weren’t as challenging as I expected. But I would highly recommend this to anyone and will be doing another gusty girl trip again!

I loved every second of my trip to Slovenia with Gutsy Girls. It was so well organised and so much fun. I’d never paddle boarded before but with excellent tuition from our guide Spela, I was up and paddling within an hour! All the activities were really well organised and well paced. Slovenia is so beautiful and Spela took us to some magical places.
Our Gutsy Girl host Annabel took good care of us and like all the other women on the trip was just great - a really fun, smart, interesting and kind group. I feel very lucky to have met them.

This was my first gutsy girl trip but won’t be my last.

This was my 3rd Gutsy Girls trip. They have all been exactly as described beforehand, which means they have been outstanding. The quality of the experiences, the food, the accommodation have been really good quality. The value for money, considering all the experiences in a trip is very very good. On the Croatia SUP/Kayak trip I particularly enjoyed the day we cycled, paddled and walked. The island of Molat is stunning, and I came home so refreshed and inspired by the women I had met. If you like the sound of this don't hesitate to book.

Awesome Trip in North Macidonia!

Still on a high from my first GG trip! From the start to the end this wonderful group of women made my belly hurt with all the laughter.

The host, Natasha, was brilliant. Being in Macidonia our tour / plan was changed a little bit due to weather or because culturally this is just what happens (nothing dramatic). She dealt with the local tour guides to ensure our trip was not compromised at any point. The host makes your trip - look after this one GG HQ!

The hikes were great - whilst sometimes the climbs were a challenge, the scenery and motivation from the group never wavered. The local guides, Yasmin’s and Kristian, were experienced hikers and took us to some beautiful spots around the hiking to see a cheese farm and waterfalls.

The food…wow, you never go hungry! As a veggie I always worry that I won’t be catered for on these types of trips but how wrong I was! We enjoyed a huge amount of lovely food - so much salad, fresh and homemade bread, puddings, wonderful fish to name a few!

Every night we enjoyed a swim and sauna, plus there was a lovely masseuse (Maria) if you wanted to book a treatment to relax to help your aching legs.

My cup is full again after meeting a lovely group of women!

What an INCREDIBLE trip! I met some amazing, like-minded, inspiring people who I now feel will be friends for life! Our host Martha was fantastic - she was so down to earth, organised, yet one of the gang. Our guide Mauro was brilliant. A very calm, experienced, passionate guide but also one who made us all feel at ease and shared his knowledge of the mountains. The hiking and via ferrata was out of the world. I was constantly in awe of the surroundings and I felt suitably challenged. The huts were great. They were so remote so I felt so far from reality. I would recommend this trip to anyone. I didn’t want to come home and will forever cherish the memories I made.

It’s great to go on a holiday where all the thinking and planning has been done, all you need is to turn-up ready to make friends and have an adventure, it certainly didn’t disappoint. The group dynamics were incredible, I haven’t laughed so much for ages, and the activities were both accessible with a bit of challenge thrown in for good measure. SUP, hiking to see the vultures, Via Ferrata and yoga were well organised with the right equipment available. We were clearly guided at all times. Sardinia is a beautiful location with the bonus of an amazing food culture.

A week that I will never forget!
My Sardinia paddleboard, hiking and yoga trip was simply amazing! From the start, meeting the group that is officially the “Elevenses” at the airport, a group of amazing women, guaranteed that this trip was going to be a blast!
And it was!
Our host Alice from GG was delightful and always available. She spent time with every individual on the trip and was so enjoyable to be around.
Our guides from Nu Adventure, Padraig and Simone, were knowledgeable, entertaining and helpful throughout our entire trip.
The food was delish and plenty of it.
I loved the fact that we had organized activities and free time to sightsee. It was a perfect balance.
I highly recommend Gusty Girls. One of my best vacations ever!!!!

I just finished the 7 day Sardinia paddleboard and hike trip. It’s exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we met at the airport to the hugs goodbye. Our host Alice was warm and funny and so easy to be with. She was an encouraging leader. The guides from Nu Adventure were absolutely wonderful. The location is perfectly charming and gorgeous. Well done, Gutsy Girls!

Just returned from the paddle boarding trip in Slovenia and it was honestly the best trip ever!! I’d only come across Gutsy Girls on instagram, so was a little nervous about booking, but I’m so glad I did. I cannot recommend enough and have been on a post trip high for weeks! Although it feels pricey, it was totally worth it - the accommodation was great, food was amazing (and so much of it). I only spent money buying souvenirs.
GG make sure you know everything you need beforehand, look after you so well throughout, it’s super well organised and such a brilliant itinerary. The guide was amazing, so knowledgable and went above and beyond to make our trip great. The itinerary was a perfect blend of activity without feeling exhausted. The host was really friendly and did a great job looking after us all. Even the booking team have been super kind and helpful. The other women on the trip were an amazing bunch and I feel I’ve made lifelong friends.
I cannot wait to book my next trip, so if you’re thinking about it, absolutely do it!!

This is my first trip with Gutsy Girls - but it definitely won't be my last. Communication both before and on the trip was so clear and thorough.

Our host Annabel was a lovely welcoming presence and she tirelessly took photos of us throughout the trip. Our guide Spela had organised the week's itinerary so well that it never felt too packed but there was also plenty of time for added bonus adventures from the origial pre-trip itinerary.

I loved going away and not having to think of all the practicalities of course but more than that it was the beautiful places we were taken to, the delicious local food we ate and the wonderful group of women I spent the week with.

I can't name or tag on instagram all the places we ate/swam/hiked and SUPed at and my holiday is all the better for it. My heart is full and happy after this very special week.

This trip exceeded my expectations. I was nervous as had never done SUP before, but Maia and Elaine were brilliant at guiding us through the first steps. Not only were Maia and Elaine great guides, instructors, they were great fun too. They looked after us completely and worked hard to ensure we had the best experience possible. Well done on providing a memorable trip.

I had the most amazing week, travelling through the beautiful Brenta Dolomites with a group of strong, determined, kind and likeminded women. We laughed and talked our way through some tough but beautiful days.
Martha our host was exceptional, she juggled the organisation and our day to day needs with great skill whilst still being the best team player!
Mauro our guide was just the best! He kept us safe throughout. He adapted around the weather conditions, making good choices and keeping us all involved with future decisions and plans.
Turns out we are all now experts at the Italian “rummy” card game!!
Loved every minute.

This was my first trip with Gutsy Girls and I met a lovely group of girls. I’m grateful to companies like Gutsy Girls for creating opportunities for women to travel solo while still having the support and social aspect of a group trip.

However, having travelled on a number of group trips with other companies, I have to say that this was by far the most unorganised trip I’ve experienced. There were some really enjoyable elements, but I think there are several areas where improvements could be made.

Accommodation
We were originally supposed to spend five nights in a rustic guest house and one night in a hotel in the mountains. A couple of days before the trip started, we were informed that the first night would instead be in a different hotel. Although this worked out well for the old town tour on the first evening, the hotel itself was disappointing.

The rustic guest house was lovely and was my favourite accommodation of the trip, so I was disappointed that we couldn’t stay there for the five nights originally advertised.

Later in the trip, we were told that we would be moving to the mountain hotel a day earlier than planned. The mountain hotel itself was very clean and modern, and its remote location made it perfect for our final day of hiking in the mountains. However, the changes to the accommodation arrangements did contribute to the overall feeling that the trip wasn’t particularly well organised.

Activities
I thought the variety of activities included in the trip was great, and I really enjoyed the hikes, paddle boarding and the locations we visited. The wine tasting venue was also lovely.

However, I think some changes need to be made to the trip description so that potential customers know exactly what to expect.

Due to the changes to the accommodation and itinerary, we ended up having only three yoga sessions rather than the daily yoga advertised. The yoga teacher was very good, so I was particularly disappointed about this.

I also don’t feel that the mountain biking was suitable for beginners as advertised. I have a lot of cycling experience and some previous mountain biking experience and still felt uncomfortable at times.

The paddle boarding sessions were enjoyable and the amount of time on the water worked well for our group. However, more experienced paddle boarders would probably have wanted longer sessions.

Food
The restaurants and food options chosen by the local guide were great, and I really enjoyed trying Macedonian food throughout the week. The food at the rustic guest house was particularly good and was probably my favourite food of the trip.

You do need to like tomatoes if you’re travelling here, as they feature heavily in all meals!

Unfortunately, the food at the mountain hotel was my least favourite, but I appreciate that there aren’t many alternative options in such a remote location, and I think the local guide was aware of this too.

Host and organisation
As well as a local guide, Gutsy Girls provide a UK-based host. This is the first company I’ve travelled with that has had this arrangement, and unfortunately I didn’t really see the benefit of having both.

I think clearer introductions at the start of the trip, including an explanation of the different roles and responsibilities of the local guide and Gutsy Girls host, would have helped. At times, having a Gutsy Girls host seemed to add to the confusion on the trip rather than provide support.

There were also occasions where communication around the itinerary and activities didn’t feel clear, which affected my confidence in how well things were being organised.

Interestingly, I felt that the activities which were communicated and led solely by the local guide tended to run more smoothly.

Overall
Despite the issues, I had a lovely time because of the group of women I met, and there were some genuinely great experiences during the trip. The variety of activities, the locations, the local food and the opportunity to meet other solo female travellers are all big positives.

I would travel with Gutsy Girls again, as I think the concept behind it is fantastic. However, compared with other group travel companies I’ve used, I felt this trip fell short in terms of organisation, communication and delivering what was advertised. Addressing these issues would make a significant difference to the overall experience and to whether I would choose Gutsy Girls over one of their competitors in the future.

Still on a high from my trip to Sardinia, which included a bit of everything from good food, authentic local hospitality, SUP, hiking and climbing. This place itself was stunning and unspoilt. Our GG host and Sardinian hosts were excellent, attentive and fun. The trip was nothing but fun from start to finish and their was plenty of belly laughs and genuine support from the rest of the group. I can not recommend this trip enough"

My sister and I participated in the Beginning Horse Riding adventure at Venabu, Norway. My expectations were absolutely exceeded. Our host, the intrepid Helen, was there every step of the way. The location was stunningly beautiful, the hotel was the definition of Norwegian koselig, and our fellow gutsy girls quickly became a beloved support group for our experience. Incredible! Thanks so much Gutsy Girls for organizing a wonderful time!
