I am writing to share my experience with Gurupay and to warn others. I lost €1,090 through a transaction processed via their platform, and Gurupay has refused to take responsibility.
1. Obfuscated Merchant Name / Transaction Laundering: On my bank statement, the transaction appears as “Impayapayment”, which is not the real merchant name. I had to use Google to identify the party behind this payment. This shows that Gurupay is involved in transaction laundering, making it very difficult to identify who actually receives the money.
2. No Goods or Services Received: I paid for a product or service, but received nothing. The merchant is unreachable and unresponsive.
3. Limited Support / Chargeback Refusal: I contacted Gurupay for help. They told me to contact my bank for a recall, even though the money went to their platform, and they have refused to provide proper assistance. I have no contract with Gurupay or the merchant, and I do not have an account with them, making it impossible to recover the funds on my own.
I demand a chargeback for this transaction immediately. If Gurupay does not provide support promptly, I will escalate this matter to a financial ombudsman and legal counsel to recover my money.
It is unacceptable that a platform engages in transaction laundering and refuses to assist customers who receive no goods or services. Gurupay must improve transparency and customer support to prevent others from experiencing the same issues
