Great Resumes Fast Arvostelua 

I hired Great Resumes Fast to update my resume and LinkedIn profile after starting my first job search in a number of years. I was a little skeptical of how much difference they could make, but I am finding a much higher response rate to applications using their style of resume (compared to what I’d prepared myself). GRF partnered me with an industry-experienced resume writer and the 90 minute consultation where I was asked about my experience and roles proved extremely helpful in drawing out my key skills. The turnaround time from this to the first draft of my resume was excellent - less than four days. My writer was very responsive to edits and adjustments too.

Prior to hiring GRF, I’d tried using one of the online resume writing tools to prepare my own resume. Looking back now, these tools are too restrictive and don’t come with the experience and knowledge that the GRF team can provide. Although not the cheapest service out there, it has absolutely been worth the investment.

I am a HUGE fan of Bethany Camasura from Great Resumes Fast and can’t stop singing her praises especially as it relates to my recent resume consultation experience with her. Bethany’s expertise hands down as a resume writer is pure brilliance. For months, I have been dreading the thought of creating yet another resume version and spending more money to do so. However, a recent Black Friday sale, offered by Great Resumes Fast, allowed me to take advantage of opportunity to schedule an expert resume review with Bethany. SCORE!! I hit the jackpot as it was time and money well spent working with her to gain invaluable feedback and new insights on how to make my accomplishments and overall resume sections shine. I truly feel that the personalized resume strategy provided my resume with the "professional facelift" that I was looking for and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the final product. I've worked with this company to spruce up my resume as I was beginning my job search and held off for 6 months to give their work a fair shot to speak for itself. In retrospect, while GRF might be helpful in putting your thoughts on paper if you don't have any sort of resume to start with, I would not recommend them for someone who already has a decent starting document to work from. At that point, just finish it yourself or take advantage of the myriad of Ai tools to make it stand out. If you do want to work with GRF, go with the resume revamp and skip the cover letter and LinkedIn add-ons.

I did find the people I worked with to be friendly and helpful as we did the initial consultation, and all the way throughout the process. However, the quality of the work is lacking, especially at the price point. Consistently, the feedback I've received throughout the 6 months from recruiters and hiring managers is that the resume is confusing, over cluttered and difficult to read through, while the cover letter is too generic, relying on cliches rather than clarity. The LinkedIn revamp is also very high-level and does not seem to have much impact. This package was not worth $1,600.

If I can give more than 5 stars, i definitely would! I had an incredible experience working with Jessica Coppens to revise and update my resume. She provided me with multiple tailored resumes, insightful messages to send to hiring managers, and even a step-by-step guide on how to update my LinkedIn profile. Jessica’s attention to detail and expertise made the entire process seamless and stress-free. Wonderful work performed by Jessica on my resume. Transformed it into a great narrative that I can share with others.

To begin with, the process wasn't fast, and I wasn't provided a resume within a week. Also, after uploading my resume to a job board, they provided feedback on the quality of my resume- and it didn't score well for getting through ATS's. I sent this information to my resume writer, and she never responded.

Almost 3 months later and 156 applications, I only had 2 interviews. I've extensive corporate sales experience, have been awarded Vendor of the Year awards from Target and have had success everywhere I've been. Further networking no doubt led to me other people trying to sell their resume services. Two other services ran my resume through their systems to grade it for getting through an ATS- and the scores were below 60 (out of a 100).

I sent a LinkedIn message to Jessica Hernandez and she said she'd have someone get back to me. Kelly did reach out and asked for more details. I provided her with EVERYTHING! The log with all positions I had applied to, the feedback from others regarding my resume and more. Her response was a letter saying it's a tough time, and then went on to essentially regurgitate all of their marketing materials and the same stuff Jessica posts all the time. Kelly seemed to completely ignore what I told her - which included doing almost all of what their service had recommended.

There are definitely other services which can do better, and charge you much less. Stay away from this one.
