Disappointed review base with a 1 day date on it after ordered delayed anyone issued refund and stated made last week wrong label put on
I won’t be using again and wish I read reviews before ordering
A manager didn’t even have the decency to ring me upon asking for this

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you were disappointed with your experience, and we would like to clarify what happened with your order.

Upon looking into your query, we identified via the batch code that the date on the label was a simple human typo. The base had actually been made just days prior and was perfectly fresh, safe, and suitable to use.

We immediately apologised for the oversight and issued you a full refund, while also letting you keep the product. We felt this was the fairest way to resolve the mistake. However, as we had already provided a full refund and confirmed the base was completely safe to use, we were unable to offer further compensation beyond this.

As a small team, we handle our customer service queries directly via email so we can investigate batch codes and order details efficiently. We are sorry you felt a phone call was necessary, but we can assure you that your complaint was taken seriously and acted upon immediately by our senior team.

Delivery should have been on Friday 1st…

Delivery should have been on Friday 1st May but not delivered until 6Th May. The company were emailed on the 1st to tell them of Non Delivery. I emailed on the 2nd to say it was delivered as they advised. Communication was almost an instant reply on 1st but after then I was ignored. The answer I got was they don’t refund despite being told on the 1st that in the circumstances I’d get my money back. Their choice of Courier can not be relied upon and I had the same issue when I ordered coffee from another Company. They use Royal Mail Parcel Force who will not deliver parcels on a Saturday unless a premium has been paid for Saturday delivery. I did get a refund eventually but had to chase for it.

To clarify what happened on our end, we were proactively communicating a 2–3 day delay at the time due to a temporary operational backlog. We flagged this clearly with a large banner on our website and included a message inside your order confirmation email so everyone was aware before dispatch.

Your order was actually dispatched on an overnight service on the 30th of April and delivered on the 1st of May. Had you contacted us in the period between ordering and dispatch to express your dissatisfaction with the delay, we would have immediately cancelled and refunded the order for you. While we understand you feel the service was poor, we believe we were as proactive and transparent as we possibly could be regarding the lead times.

We can also confirm that the operational issues causing that short delay have now been fully resolved, and steps have been put in place to ensure it doesn’t happen again, as we pride ourselves on our commitment to fast delivery and quality customer service.

Regarding your refund, please get in touch with the team directly so we can look into your message history and get this squared away for you.

Received as a gift

Received as a gift, tomato glass jar smashed and ruined all the other consumables as they are in cardboard tube, good customer service sent out a second pack, but same again happened, need to protect the glass or find an alternative product and put fragile on the outside packaging.

We are really sorry to hear that this gift turned into such a mess, not just once but twice.

Glass is incredibly tricky to ship when couriers choose to ignore the fragile warnings on the outside of our parcels, and it’s deeply frustrating for us that a fresh replacement met the same fate.

We completely agree that the glass needs better protection, which is why we’ve been working hard on a solution. We are currently waiting for stock of our newly designed, extremely thick boxes, which will provide much heavier protection for these jars. This new packaging goes live from the 11th of June, which should see transit damage like this become a thing of the past.

We’d love to make sure the recipient actually gets to enjoy their gift properly. Please get in touch with the team directly so we can arrange a fresh, securely packaged delivery for them once the new boxes are in house.

Delivered to the wrong address …

Delivered to the wrong address even though labelled correctly. Had to investigate myself to which house it was delivered to by contacting neighbours. My safe place was behind our wheelie bins. They dropped it over a 6 foot rear gate of a neighbour's property. The worst bit is, I was actually at home too. They didn't come to my address at all!!

We are really sorry to hear about the hassle you’ve had with your delivery. It’s incredibly frustrating to be at home and still have to go on a hunt around the neighbourhood because a courier hasn't followed the instructions on the label.

While we acknowledge the 1-star rating, it does feel a bit harsh given that the issue lies entirely with the courier's delivery attempt rather than the product itself. However, we know we choose the couriers we work with and we fully expect them to do the job properly. When they drop the ball like this, it reflects on us, and for that, we apologise.

Best pizza I've had

Delivery is super quick , the dough makes amazing pizzas.
I love a traditional pizza take away and get it most weekends , no longer need to as these dough balls make better pizzas ! Will also save alot if money, thank you !!

Possibly one of the worst companies…

Possibly one of the worst companies I've ever dealt with.

I placed an order 10 days ago. 3 days later I eventually received an email saying it had shipped and was with the courier. 2 days later, I contacted the company to inform them that it hadn't arrived and the tracking showed that the courier hadn't received the package. I was assured that it was still out for delivery and I would receive it soon - at this point, if it had turned up, it would have meant a minimum of 3 days after perishable items had been shipped.

After still not receiving the package 8 days after originally placing the order I told them that I wanted a replacement to be sent out. A day later, I finally got a response from Steph who said that they would resend the package. After another day and a half, this has yet to be actioned.

I called the company to speak to them about this and received a stream of abuse from the person who answered the call. No doubt this will be denied by the company, however they state that they record all calls, so I invite them to paste a transcript of the call here as a response.

Needless to say I will not be ordering from this company again. Lots of other competitors out there who actually value their customers.

Regarding our phone conversation, we are sorry if our tone came across as anything other than professional. However, we feel it is important to provide some context. As we explained during the call, we are a very small, dedicated team. We have been working late into the evenings and throughout the weekends, going above and beyond to get orders out to our customers.

When things don’t go perfectly with our courier partners, it is incredibly stressful for us. As we mentioned to you, "we are not Amazon." Every phone call and email we receive to check on a small delay—while completely understandable from a customer’s perspective—actually holds us back from the physical work of packing and shipping the dough.

The "candidness" you experienced on the phone was a result of that built-up pressure. We are human, and we were simply trying to express that we are working as hard as we possibly can to resolve issues. We have let you down on this occasion, and for that, we are truly sorry.

We ask for a little patience as we navigate these busy periods. Your replacement is being handled, and we hope that once it arrives, the quality of the product reflects the hard work we put into every batch.

Very disappointing.

Thought I would give this company a try rather than my regular, but it was to be a great disappointment, placed an order on Monday 11th May to the value of £43, which offered free delivery, upon processing the order it’s stated that the standard delivery date will be the 13th May, which I was quite happy with, so upon place in the order to my surprise in the order confirmation it’s dated due to what they say is a high level of orders, it will take 2 to 3 days to process my order for delivery, which is somewhat disappointing that I did not stay this prior to me placing my order, so I contacted them to question this, I confirmed there is a backlog of orders, I did try to compromise by stating well, I really need this before Friday 15th May which gave them an extra couple of days, I was then with a reply well if you want to cancel just let us know, I did respond by stating that as a new customer I do find this disappointing, and suggested to avoid Other disappointments from other customers to make them aware that you will not be able to fulfil the delivery date stated, this will also avoid a negative review such as this, to my surprise this morning Tuesday 12th May they had cancelled my order and returned my payment.

Will not be using this company in the future, very poor unprofessional company.

As a small business, we strive to be as transparent as possible. While our website provides standard estimates, we did experience a slight 1-2 day backlog. We believe in being proactive, which is why we reached out immediately after your order to set realistic expectations rather than letting the 13th May pass without communication.

Regarding the cancellation, we sincerely apologise if the offer felt dismissive. Because you mentioned needing the order specifically by Friday the 15th, and we couldn't 100% guarantee the courier would meet that window due to the processing delay, we took the decision to cancel and refund you immediately. We did this to ensure you weren't left out of pocket and could make alternative arrangements for your Friday plans, rather than risking a late delivery.

Dreadful experience no product!

I tried to place an order with this company for around £50 worth of goods. Some were subscription. Shortly after placing I received an email explaining there was a backlog and some delays. I thought this was good as it set expectations realistically. I then however tried to check subscription elements. The button to do this on the site did nothing and there was no way to check. I emailed for support to ask how I could check and explained that I don’t like having a subscription that I can’t access, if this was the case please cancel subscription. The response was almost immediate and said they’d cancel. Next thing I received is an email to say whole order is cancelled. On asking for an immediate refund I was told this could take up to 5 days due to my bank (I’ve had immediate refunds before). I am now out of pocket, no goods and no refund as yet. Their verified discount code did not work before ordering either. Perhaps it is bad luck but this seems all about getting money and no interest in customer. Seemed rather dubious in entirety

Subscription Access: We apologise that the subscription button was unresponsive. While we use Shopify-recommended apps for these features rather than building them ourselves, we have raised this issue with the app provider to ensure it is fixed.

Order Cancellation: We offer our sincerest apologies for the misunderstanding regarding your request. It appears there was a breakdown in communication, and your entire order was cancelled rather than just the subscription element. This was a genuine error made in an effort to respond to your request quickly, and we are sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Refunds & Discount Codes: Regarding the refund, payments are processed securely through Shopify and Stripe. Once we trigger a refund, the timeline is handled by the payment processors and banks; we have no manual control over this, which is why we advise it can take up to 5 working days. Regarding the discount code, we would have been more than happy to apply this manually had we known it wasn't registering at checkout.

What you've described sounds like you have suffered from "spring back", which usually happens if the dough hasn’t rested long enough to reach room temperature, or if it was balled up again after resting. Both things tighten the gluten, making it difficult to stretch into a full-sized pizza.
