Beef Sirloin Ball Cap Roasts are cut from just below the tenderloin. Slow cook these grass-fed roasts for a succulent, tender and juicy taste treat! Cut into steaks or roast it whole, either way you can't miss. Often used for BBQ or smokers, you will love the dance your tastebuds will do when enjoying the flavor of grass-fed beef. We'll leave enough fat for added flavor and juiciness.
This cut is extremely popular in South American countries in a dish known as Picanha.
Each Sirloin Cap Roast averages 2.5 pounds.

I have purchased this in the past and it turned out really tasty. I recommend lower temperatures and slower cooking times when cooking grass fed, grass finished meats. It helps prevent the meat from getting tough or dry. I appreciate the fatty cuts of meat to help get the flavor and tenderness. Try it and see for yourself!

I keep learning how to cook grass-fed beef correctly. This roast I cooked in the oven covered and with a little water at 300° for 2 hours then dropped the heat down to 275° for another hour. It came out so delicious and tender I was impressed!! The key is low heat and not too long on time. I keep trying different cuts of meat to find what I like and this is one to keep!

I was skeptical about this cut, but it sounded so interesting in the description, so thought we'd give it a try. We barbequed according to the instructions and it was excellent -- really tender! So I have purchased it again.
