Granite and TREND Transformations UK - Hinckley Arvostelua 

Our experience was positive from the first contact in the showroom with Donna where she explained all the products in a very friendly non pushy manner.
We were encouraged to bring samples of doors and worktops home to make sure our colour choices etc were right and exactly what we wanted.
Ian who fitted the doors etc was so good at his job and his attention to detail was amazing. The work top and sink look beautiful, again fitted superbly the workmanship of all involved is incredible and top
quality. We are very pleased with the finished result the price and the professionalism of all involved.

Very pleased with the work carried out, it completely transformed the kitchen, would recommend this company and its employees.

From initial conversation to installation, we cannot fault Granite Transformations. We agreed style, price and fitting date and are delighted with the result. Jamie, you can be enormously proud of your business and team. Liam your fitter did a superb job from consideration of our needs whilst fitting, right down to the perfection of the sealant used and applied. As always, quality is in the detail. Many thanks.

We initially met with Wendy at the Hinckley showroom who provided us with a glossy brochure and set an appointment for Jamie Wilbur to meet at our home to provide us a
quotation for worktops and up stands.
Jamie discussed our needs and provided a quote of £3,264.00, taking into account the impressive claims made within your brochure we accepted the quote paying a deposit of £816.00.
We were later contacted again and advised that a further visit would be needed to carry out “templating” on 1st July.
It was Ian who attended for this purpose and spent no longer than 10-15 minutes taking basic measurements.
We were again contacted to request a further payment of £816.00 and scheduled for the work to be done on 21st/22nd July.
Liam the fitter arrived as scheduled at our home on 21st July and it is from this point on that we became aware that Liam not only lacked any respect for our home but that he also lacked the skill set and expertise described within the glossy sales brochure.
Liam failed to put protective coverings anywhere in our kitchen which ultimately resulted in all surfaces being covered in dust.
It became blatantly clear at this stage that Ian hadn’t bothered to “template” our worktops as there was a large tapered gap to the side of the fridge freezer unit.
One upstand was cut too short, and neither upstands were profiled when fitted leaving a huge gaps.
Liam then continued to apply copious amounts of poorly color matched mastic to all joints.
At this point I put a hold on all work and demanded Ian contact me. As Ian was on annual leave I was asked to provide images of the dreadful work.
Ian contacted me and acknowledged the defects and suggested that “remedial work was required”
Ian initial remedial visit;
Replaced upstands profiling to walls.
Attempted to close tapered gap unsuccessfully and damaged the fridge end panel.
Ian agreed a further visit to correct the tapered gap.
Ian & Liam attended again and removed the fridge freezer unit and adjacent unit.
Correction was made to the tapered gap and the kitchen reinstated.
Following their visit we noted that the
Fridge freezer was fitted incorrectly and out of plumb
Fridge freezer doors were not gapped correctly.
Considerable damage had been caused to the oven housing, fridge freezer cabinet and external wall scuffed.
It goes without saying that on two occasions I made good all repairs to cabinets and decorations and also provided paint and materials.
Ian initially offered a small discount of
£132.00 by way of a gesture of goodwill, however this was not considered sufficient given the trauma,disappointment,distress and intrusion we have suffered during these works. This amount was then negotiated upwards and the final invoice was then settled.

It is such a shame that Granite Transformations seem incapable of providing the “highly professional installation team” as described in their brochure. It is my opinion that Liam is no better than an average DIYer and shouldn’t be let loose on projects of this nature.

We chose Granite Transformations as our neighbour had used them two years ago. From Tracey and Donna in the office, Ian and Jamie who surveyed and measured to Liam who fitted the worktops every step was faultless. We were kept fully updated and the end result is brilliant. Liam worked quickly and efficiently and cleaned up afterwards. We would definitely recommend this Company.

We ordered a job for granite overlays , hob. & sink.
Initially the date for he work to be done had to be changed due to their worker being sick. On the re-arranged day for the job to be done they brought the wrong tops so had to reschedule again. After some negotiation they did agree to reduce the price so we was happy with that. But this meant having to book & cancel days off work. When they finally fitted the tops, sink , ceramic hob it all looked stunning. We initially went away after that so didn’t use it , but when we started using the sink we noted after a few days it was soaking wet in the cupboard under the sink , ruined some of our products . Following examination I could see the leak was coming from the waste pipe, it was obvious they should have fitted a small coupler to extend the pipe, instead he had tried to bend it & screw it back into the existing pipe , the new sink was deeper so did need an extra waste pipe fitting.
We didn’t receive any follow up call to see if we were happy with the job which I found surprising, since I didn’t want the same workman coming back to fix the leak we got our own plumber in who fixed it by adding an extra pipe .
I phoned their operations manager & highlighted the leak. I was offered no apology & instead got a defensive response saying they have never had complaints from other customers. I asked what they was going to do regarding the poor work done with the pipework as I had an outstanding balance to pay & was out of pocket due to paying for the repair .. They said they would call me back..
I waited a week with no call back & no correspondence , so I just paid the outstanding balance .
In as much as we are happy with the work in general, it’s left us with a bad feeling about the company. We were going to ask them to do some flooring in our kitchen, but not now. So overall , a happy & sad experience.

Having driven 55 miles each way. it was a total waste of time and fuel. Salesman off for family reasons but lady not helpful, went with measurements, couldn't give price per sq,m,just £3 k to £5k. Asked for samples, nothing available. Won't follow up

The black granite worktop from the Hinckley branch has made our kitchen modern and stylish. We were very pleased with the installation from the Hinckley staff and would highly recommend them.

I've just had a full kitchen makeover with new doors and worktops, and I'm incredibly pleased!! Jamie's lads, Ian and Liam were superb... punctual, polite and everything completed to very high standards! I'd thoroughly recommend Jamie and his team.

Had our new Granite worktops fitted at the beginning of November and what a difference it’s made! The whole process was fast, efficient and faultless. The Fitter arrived early, worked very tidily and did a wonderfully Professional job. Our Kitchen looks fabulous again…thank you. We’ve already recommended Granite Transformations (Hinckley) to several of our friends who’ve recently visited!

Peeling cupboard doors after only 7yrs and a £1500 quote to replace.
Never had a problem with doors supplied by any other kitchen company only this one.
Record telephone conversations with them too as details and information they give you seem to change quite alot. Jamie forgot to mention the doors were NOT sold as wrapped and most of the doors that are peeling are NOT near heat.
Nice try Jamie to make out the company is better than it is

Liam and Karl arrived on time and fitted my new granite worktops which took just one and a half days. They were very professional and tidy. The difference this has made to my kitchen is amazing and after a small problem with one of my kitchen doors Liam came straight back the same day and corrected the problem. Fantastic product, amazing service and excellent after sales service.

I am very disappointed to this company. At the beginning, the sales told us the kitchen can be completed 4 to 5 days but the truth is not that, it spent over 2 months ,still not complete. We understood that there may be some logistics issue on the cupboard delivery but the worst thing is, we cannot reach the installation manager to check the progress. No matter text or phone, no one respond on this, we can't reach anyone to follow up on the progress of the kitchen renovation.

The bad is, they asked for the last payment and promised will complete the kitchen in mid of February. After paid, no one come to fix it and nobody can be reached. My kitchen is stuck now.

I am very upset on this company operation and no choice to write a comment here and I can't find anyone to follow up my project.
