Very Good Quality 2 seater G plan…
Very Good Quality 2 seater G plan reclining sofa with adjustable lumbar support sold through Sterling furnishings Aberdeen. Service from both Sterling and G plan excellent. Any issues we had were dealt with promptly and to our satisfaction. Would recommend anyone to try G plan first , it’s a little more expensive but you are paying for quality and good service.

As always with G Plan, very comfy 2 x two seater settees plus armchair, all with excellent lower back support. We also bought a small footstool with storage in the same material - reversing the lid provides a handy drink table!

Eleanor successfully went out of her way to satisfy us because Furniture Village's (whilst their staff were friendly and tried to help) procedures would not allow them to help in replacing worn out parts.
We purchased Malvern Range Two Elevate and a Three Seater in April 2017 from Furniture Village, (which we are very pleased with) this is the second time small parts on the electrical side of the control has required replacing, due to normal wear and tear, the previous time was in 2021 then and now Parker Knoll's/G-Plan's customer service team have excelled whilst Furniture Village failed.

Uncomfortable footrests
We purchased two Malvern electric recliner sofas at a local independent store who were a pleasure to deal with.
Sofas are comfortable, well made and have excellent back support. Our only criticism is that the footrests are very uncomfortable. There is a wooden bar at the base which really digs into your heels or legs depending on height. Unfortunately we were not able to sample an electric recliner before purchasing and only discovered this problem on delivery.

We’re sorry to learn that you’ve found the footrests uncomfortable. While the Malvern is a long standing and very popular model, and manufactured fully in line with our specifications, we do appreciate that comfort can vary from person to person.
As your sofas were purchased through an independent retailer, we would recommend contacting them in the first instance to discuss your concerns. If possible, sharing a photo of the footrest may help them assess whether everything is as expected and to our specification. They’ll be best placed to advise on any available options, and we’ll of course support them where we can.

Further to my review on our purchase of a GPlan Seattle sofa & chair & the reply from GPlan I would like to state that basically GPlan have marked their own homework they provided the technicians who stated we should dress’ the seat fabric each time we stand up & the wrinkling was due to the fabric grabbing the foam !
If I could attach a photo to this review I would!
Please do a deep dive on the reviews there have been problems with the Seattle range I wish I had done more research.

We’re sorry to hear that you remain unhappy with the outcome, however we would like to clarify an important point regarding the inspection process.
The technicians who assessed your furniture are fully independent third-party specialists. They are not employed by, or affiliated with, G Plan in any way. Their role is to provide an unbiased, professional assessment based solely on the condition of the product. We do not influence their findings, and their conclusions are made independently following their inspections.
On two separate occasions, independent technicians carried out thorough assessments of your suite and both reached the same conclusion , that there is no manufacturing fault present. The guidance provided during the visit, including advice on maintaining the appearance of the fabric, reflects standard industry recommendations for upholstered furniture.
We appreciate that this may not align with your expectations, and we understand your frustration. However, we must rely on the objective findings of independent experts when reviewing concerns of this nature.

G plan has been around for many years…
G plan has been around for many years and was a firm favourite of my parents. The sofa and chair I purchased is extremely comfortable and made to a very high standard. Delivery was within the time frame offered at the retailers

Dear Stuart, We are sorry that you are disappointed with your G Plan furniture as we take every care to ensure all of our furniture is manufactured to the highest standards, using the finest materials. We understand that the retailer arranged an inspection and report on your furniture which did not deem the furniture / fabric to have a manufacturing fault present. The fabric pile will flatten with use and appear different shades as it catches the light. This is a characteristic of the fabric and would not be considered a fault. Fabric characteristics would usually be explained when you are with the retailer but are also covered in our care information. We understand that the independent assessor visited and concluded that there was no manufacturing fault. We appreciate that this is not the outcome you were hoping for, and advise that we would be able to liaise with your retailer to arrange a second opinion, if required. We would also be able to request the technician advise you in a practical sense regarding the fabric.
Please reach back out to your retailer, if you would like to arrange a second opinion and we can get this actioned.
