Avoid Booking - Livly Technologies Inc. — Last-Minute Cancellation Left My Family With Nowhere to Stay
I booked a weeklong stay through Bookings.com in which then they work with Livly Technologies Inc. (golivly.com) at the White Marble Retreat NYC (16 E 32nd St, New York) for May 24–31, 2025. The total cost was $1,845.56, and I was charged in full well in advance.
Leading up to the trip, Livly confirmed the reservation multiple times, including emails that clearly stated the address, dates, and payment details. Everything seemed in order, and I had no reason to expect any issues.
However, on the day of check-in, I received a message confirming a location in New Jersey — not the New York City property I actually booked. I immediately flagged the mistake and told them repeatedly that the reservation was for the NYC location. After some back-and-forth, they suddenly told me the New York reservation had been canceled, with no explanation and no warning whatsoever.
My family and I were already in New York City — a place we had never been — and now we had no place to stay. We were completely blindsided. The emotional stress, panic, and disruption this caused were intense. Trying to find a last-minute alternative for my family in a city like NYC was incredibly difficult and upsetting.
Livly offered no replacement or meaningful help, and I had to track someone down myself just to get a refund. That only happened after I pushed for it. The lack of transparency, professionalism, and support was shocking.
This was one of the most stressful and disappointing travel experiences I’ve ever had. I strongly advise others to stay away from Livly Technologies Inc. and GoLivly.com. If you’re traveling with family or relying on a confirmed booking, do not take the risk.
