They are robbers. They advertise their car rental cheaper than anyone else to draw in unwary customers like me. Hired the car via RyanAir. Dissapointed that Ryanair associated themselves with this company. Dispite contacting RyanAir, no response from them either. Gold car tried to sell me unnecessary insurance or tried to make out that the full insurance I had did not cover thier cars properly. They then gave me an old car with engine noise. I got this exchanged to a slightly better one but was unclean inside and out with white deposits. Checked the car against their reported damage. The car was already damaged all over. On return they charged me for a scratch on the roof. There were already numerous scratches on the roof. Despite photos of mine I took prior to hire, they still insisted on damage cost. With no authority took £585 from my account and also charged me not filling the car up £50 plus fuel £19. All in Euros. They are car hire robbers in disguise. The authorities should look into this seriously. I hired the car from Alicante airport. So beware DONT HIRE from GoldCar. Also hundreds of other reports about this company where they took an average of £500 per customer. They are creating a bad name in the hire car industry and I shall never hire a car now in Spain but use public transport.

Fraught company!!! At rental car pickup they claim, that the credit card machine is out of order and that you can not make the deposit by credit card or by cash, hence you have to pay for a full insurance package to get the car, meaning that the total car rental amount is doubled. Fraught Fraught Fraught!!!

This company fraudulently took money from my account. After approximately one month they sent an email saying the car was damaged. I looked at the check out documentation and the check in documentation and the damage report was exactly the same. I disputed the claim and had a mail of acknowledgment and then nothing. They took the money without any further communication. If I could give a score less than a one I would. Also heavily pressured by the office team to take out extra insurance. Surprisingly the amount they took from my bank for the so called damage was the same amount as the insurance they tried to sell me. AVOID THIS COMPANY

Nous avions réservé et payé notre voiture à l’avance auprès de Goldcar.

Notre vol ayant été retardé, nous sommes arrivés à l’aéroport de Marseille-Marignane à 22 h 45. Nous nous sommes immédiatement présentés au bureau Goldcar. Nous avons été reçus au comptoir et avons expliqué la situation.

Malgré notre réservation et le fait que le véhicule avait été entièrement payé à l’avance, Goldcar a refusé de nous remettre la voiture, en invoquant notre retard.

Nous avons insisté et demandé une solution, mais rien n’a été proposé. Aucun remboursement ne nous a été accordé.

Nous nous sommes donc retrouvés la nuit, à 22 h 45, à l’aéroport de Marseille-Marignane, sans voiture et sans aucun moyen de nous rendre à notre logement, alors que nous avions pourtant réservé et payé notre véhicule.

Cette situation nous a causé beaucoup de stress et des frais supplémentaires, en plus de nous laisser sans solution à une heure tardive.

Nous sommes très déçus de la façon dont Goldcar a traité notre situation. Nous avions simplement demandé à récupérer la voiture que nous avions réservée et payée.

Expérience très décevante. Nous déconseillons fortement cette agence.

❌️❌️❌️BEWARE, DO NOT USE. Been using rental companies for 30 years in Fuerteventura and never had a issue until using Goldcar. After a late flight and arriving at 8pm tired, went and picked up car, after I already booking it (€189 to pay after I'd already paid deposit) to be told that I had no insurance and the price i had booked was just for the car. I was then told I had pay separate for insurance which was €389 extra. I questioned it but being late and having a 2 hr journey to hotel said I would pay and then check when I get to hotel. I checked the next day and did in fact have insurance. I phoned customer services (14th Aug) who said they would let them know and when i return the car it would be sorted. Surprise surprise, when i dropped the car off (24th Aug) they knew nothing about it, and spoke to member of staff who was very good tbf, but said no one there had the authority to do the refund being a Sunday and the manager would do it Monday when back, and suggested sending a email too, which I did. I emailed again on the 25th & 26th Aug for an update for my refund but no reply. I then spoke to customer services who said they cannot/ dont have access to contact the branch directly and that i have to wait for the report they had done and the response. I am absolutely disgusted by this service, but especially by the member of staff on my arrival to pick the car up as he has lied to upsell their insurance. I will disputing the charge to my credit card, and charging it back as ive done everything to get this rectified but had nothing from them. 100% AVOID THIS COMPANY

If you really want to ruin your holiday and money go with them the worst car rental in planet. Please don’t use booking.com they are the total scam shit

Wir haben unser Auto online gebucht und vor Ort sehr schnell unser Fahrzeug bekommen. Das Auto war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die gesamte Abwicklung war äußerst professionell und unkompliziert. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, und man wurde von Anfang an bestens beraten.

Wir haben die Miete sogar um zwei Tage verlängert und dafür einen wirklich sehr guten Preis bekommen. Besonders positiv fanden wir, dass uns die Versicherungen transparent und verständlich erklärt wurden und keine versteckten Zusatzkosten auf uns zukamen.

Alles in allem eine wirklich tolle Erfahrung – sehr professionell, fair, zuverlässig und freundlich. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Använd inte!! Vi kommer aldrig hyra bil från Goldcar igen! Allt har varit oseriöst sedan vi hämtade ut bilen. Vi var tvungna att teckna försäkring, fast vi redan hade betalat det, för att få ut bilen. Alternativet de presenterade var att betala en deposition för bilen på 30 000 kr. Vi fick en mindre bil än vi hade bokat. Vi har inte fått tillbaka deposition för den fyllda tanken vi lämnade tillbaka bilen med.
Kan inte komma på ngt positivt. Dessutom oseriöst och otrevligt bemötande.

Abbiamo noleggiato un'auto a Palma di Maiorca tramite il motore di ricerca Doyouspain,il prezzo era buono ed ho fatto la copertura totale kasko per qualsiasi evenienza.Arrivati in aeroporto,ci siamo imbattuti in un operatore che parlava solo spagnolo e nemmeno inglese,gia' questo e' sintomo di scarsa professionalita'.L'addetto ha cercato prima di proporre la propria copertura ma abbiamo rifiutato poiche' gia' l'avevamo con un ente terzo.Alla fine ci ha detto di pagare 99 Euro per fantomatiche tasse aeroportuali quando l intero noleggio valeva 50 euro.Era tardi e volevamo raggiungere l' hotel e cosi abbiamo pagato salvo poi protestare a fine noleggio con l assistenza clienti di Goldcar e Doyouspain.Niente da fare,abbiamo capito che ci avevano fatto pagare un upgrading per il cambio automatico che in realta' non avevo richiesto e se non erano disponibili quelle a cambio manuale se ne dovrebbe fare carico.la Societa'.Mai piu' noleggero' un'auto con loro.

After reading the reviews, I had already understood their modus operandi, and unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened to us.

As soon as we arrived at the airport to return the car, the employee responsible for inspecting the vehicle started taking photos with her tablet of NON-EXISTENT DAMAGE. The car was simply dirty, nothing more.

She then asked us to sign the return report. Naturally, we asked to read it first to check whether she had recorded any damage to the vehicle. She refused, SIGNED THE DOCUMENT HERSELF IN MY BOYFRIEND’S NAME, and then tried to send us away.

We immediately pointed out that signing on someone else’s behalf is illegal. We believed this was being done so they could keep our €276 security deposit, so we called the police.

Other employees then stepped in, raised their voices, and tried to physically attack my boyfriend. Fortunately, he is 1.90 m (6’3”) tall, and if he had wanted to defend himself, he probably would have broken their bones.

I don’t even need to mention that another family who arrived immediately after us was treated the same way. The father was physically assaulted right in front of us. We have photos and videos of what happened.

STAY ABSOLUTELY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. VIOLENT AND DISGUSTING PEOPLE.

Gold car is the worst car rental car company I have ever experienced. It's unbelievable they cheat and charge you .very impolite and not professional workers at the office .specially in nice in France. Be careful and never rent from this company. Kevin

Goldcar took 10x the actual hire fee from credit card for a small scratch that appeared on a battered Peugeot.
The deposit was returned then they helped themselves a month later !
Very disappointed and would never use this company again

Last month, I rented a car through the DoYouSpain app from Goldcar at Madrid Airport. I paid €64 in advance, and my voucher clearly did not mention that I would have to pay any additional amount upon collection.

When I arrived at the airport, they were told that I had to pay an extra €200 and purchase full insurance. No matter how much I tried to explain that these charges were not mentioned in my booking or voucher, the staff refused to listen.

In addition, I had reserved an automatic car, but they told me they did not have any available and offered me a manual car instead. This was completely unacceptable.

The staff were very rude and unhelpful throughout the entire process. This was one of the worst car rental experiences I have ever had.

I will never rent a car from this company again, and I would never recommend it to anyone. In my opinion, their business practices are misleading and feel like a scam

I rented a car in Mallorca for 5 days, from Gold Car, through Enjoy third party.
Very disappointing experience. After waiting 1½ hours at GoldvCar at
Palma Airport, I was told I had to pay around £200 for additional insurance or provide a £3,000 deposit. I had my own European insurance, but the representative refused to review it. When I declined the extra insurance, the car was refused, leaving us stranded at midnight. We had to use public transport and hire another car, from a reliable company the following day,
incurring extra costs. Both Gold Car and Enjoy Travel then rejected my complaint and offered no refund, despite the vehicle never being supplied. I would not book through them again. Beware, avoid !

Rented off this company via DoYouSpain (who also seem to have washed their hands of it), and recieved an almost brand new car. No scratches at all. Dropped back off at the office early and had to use a deposit box as nobody on site. Went to drop suitcase off at Murcia, but as we were early we sat outside for a coffee. Then I thought I'd better shoot a video of the car just in case, so went back. Anyway by the time I did the office was open, so explained what I I had done and wanted to take a video. 3 of the staff in office all said no need, it's been checked and cleared. So never trust what they say. Once leaving the country I received the invoice with several pictures of scratches (looked like chalk to me), and a bill for 220 euros. Phoned customer service twice, one man said he would sort it (and didn't), second one said fill form in and hung up. LEAVE THESE WELL ALONE.

Goldcar aéroport Marseille Marignane A FUIR ABSOLUMENT !!Réservation faite et payée d'un véhicule par l'intermédiaire de Ryanair sur internet. Arrivés chez Goldcar, ils ont invoqué une anomalie dans l'inscription du prénom car en lieu et place, le système-j'insiste- le système Ryanair a mentionné une adresse mail !Palabres, coups de fil, ils se sont rejetés la balle : arnaque bien organisée entre les 2: Ryanair et Goldcar !!Obligation de louer un autre véhicule au double du prix avec imposition de souscrire à:- la couverture super relax:215 euros- Kms illimités: 41 euros-Smart return: 19 euros-Mega relax plus: 46 euros !!!Bref le double du prix et de plus Ryanair ne veut rien entendre pour rembourser le véhicule initialement loué et payé ! Une escroquerie organisée !A ce jour suis toujours en attente du retour d'une caution de carburant de 113 euros qu'un gars a constaté , le réservoir plein et insisté pour me dire vous serez remboursé sur carte de crédit....Cette compagne agit en tout impunité, je ne laisserai pas l'affaire ainsi...ils auront très prochainement de mes nouvelles par le biais des autorités, c'est évident !Des escrocs !!

Absolute joke. Had booked car in UK. Upon pick up was told booking form didn’t have my middle name on it and therefore had to pay again through them for car. 10pm at night had no way of getting car unless I paid £437. Do not touch this firm. You have been warned.

I rented a car in Spain from Goldcar through Holiday Autos. The car had more scratches and dents then they had on their collection sheet. I found another 58 new damages. It took me 2 hours from sighing paper work and being overcharged to leaving the airport with the damaged car. The car was filthy outside the brakes were grinding. When I went back to ask them to change the car was told take it or leave. I had no choice but to take it. Will never use this company again.

reservering van een auto via Booking.com is totaal onduidelijk wat betreft je rechten en voorwaarden. Cold car Bilbao is volledig onbetrouwbaar zooitje en wijzen iedere verantwoording voor het contract met Booking.com af ??? is private . Nooit een auto huren via Booking.com ook al lijkt het door prijs aantrekkelijk je zit dan tussen 2 vuren. Gewoon direct bij een verhuurder en als je in Spanje bent geen Gold car . Oplichters
