I needed a last-minute move, and GetMovers really came through for us. It felt like everything could have gone wrong, but it actually turned out much smoother than expected.They arrived early and even called ahead to check on the situation with the freight elevator, which ended up saving us a lot of time. Because of that, we were able to start earlier than planned and finish much faster than we thought.Everything was packed, loaded, and completed in just a few hours. Nothing was broken, and the movers were friendly and easy to work with the entire time.Customer service was solid, and while it wasn’t the cheapest option, it was definitely worth it for how smoothly everything went.

GetMovers were absolutely outstanding. This was a large move, and we had a very specific timeline for when everything needed to be completed, which they were able to accommodate when other companies couldn’t. The packing team handled a full 5 bedroom home quickly and efficiently. Everything was organized, wrapped properly, and done in a way that made the whole process feel under control.The movers were just as solid during delivery. They managed everything smoothly, even with a challenging setup, and stayed professional and easy to work with the entire time.The pricing was also reasonable for the size of the move and the level of service we received.

I had a great experience with GetMovers across two moves, and both went really smoothly. Divine was easy to reach and made the whole process simple with a clear and reliable quote.For this 1-bedroom condo move, everything was done in about 3 hrs. I’ve used there moving service twice now, and for both times they have been very great and very affordable compare to others. Michelle was easy to reach and help us throughout the whole process, which made everything smoother. On our Moving day, they sent Frank and Noel, they were friendly, helpful, and very patient, which really makes a difference on what is usually a stressful day. The first move was to move my family from a multi-level condo into a smaller house. The second one was much more complicated and emotional, and I was honestly just pointing out what needed to go and what needed to stay. They stayed calm, kind, and handled everything with care the whole time. It was a local move with two movers, and while there was a minimum charge, it still felt like a good deal because they worked quickly and efficiently without dragging things out. Communication was easy, and the whole process felt smooth.I’d definitely recommend GetMovers.

This was my second time using GetMovers, and I’m just as happy with the service. This time it was a 2-bedroom apartment move, and everything was done in about 3.5 hours. Jason and Frank showed up right on time and handled everything efficiently. They packed and wrapped the furniture properly, especially the wooden pieces, making sure nothing got damaged.At the new place, they unloaded quickly and placed everything where it needed to go. Nothing was scratched or damaged, and they also reassembled larger items like the bed frame, which helped a lot. The total cost came to around $600 for the move, which I felt was fair for the level of service.

Don’t fall for the fake 5 star reviews. People are pressured by the movers to give a positive review when they are almost finished. Literally begging for a positive review otherwise they get in trouble from their office and don’t get any paid in full. After a 16 hour exhausted day of prepping, packing and directing, these guys kept pressuring for a positive review. So here you go;
- they showed up with ZERO wardrobe boxes even though we requested 8 which was an extra cost to book. Then told me to go to home depot and buy them (in the middle of my moving day) and of course Home Depot had none. We had to throw 6 closets of clothes into boxes we bought on the fly.
- took hours wrapping things excessively in plastic wrap (instead of using moving blankets because they did t have any) so they could bill more hours
- charged for extra $200 for each dresser (there were 4) because they were over 200 lbs (they were not solid wood and nowhere near 200 lbs)
- they were unable to get a sofa out of the door claiming it would not fit. Well it came in the same door. My husband and son went back the next day and got it through in 10 min.
- they turned a 5-6 hour move (3 bdrm house with basement) into a 10 hour move with added costs and a $900 estimate to $2600!!
- the movers fought amongst themselves several times. One stayed in the truck while the other two did all the actual moving which caused several fights.
- because they dragged out packing everything by the end of the night there was no time to put together bed frames or remove all the plastic which they wrapped everything.
-the next day we started removing all the plastic and of course damage galore. Our 70” tv had a tiny crack which killed the picture. The headboard was ripped in on corner where it was dragged ripping the plastic and upholstery. Sofa was dirty in several spots from the truck, antique vitrola (which we asked them to be extra gentle with was put on its side (we had to ask them to keep it upright) Somehow still got damaged. The screws To attach the dining table, top to the base went missing and on and on and on.
And the cherry on the top is after we called the next day with the damages, they sent me a claim form asked me to fill it in and said they would get back to me “I followed up consistently called emailed and after one year I finally pushed them to respond to my claim respond to my claim and the response they sent said they were not gonna honour anything in the complaint because it should’ve been pointed out to the movers on the day before they left. Then why send me the claim form at all?

Communication was excellent, and they were very accommodating with multiple scheduling and inventory changes. The team was efficient and professional throughout.

John from GetMovers was extremely friendly and helpful. He and his coworkers showed up early and completed the move within two hours. Despite having several heavy items, they managed everything with care and nothing was broken. That’s why I continue to use GetMovers for every move.

Hired this company for in city packing and moving and unpacking. The two guys showed up late. We’re on their phones most of the time. Disrespected my items by throwing them in the boxes. Didn’t sit and have lunch when I bought pizza for them to take a break. They just took the pizzas and kept working. Several of my items were “missing” after the move. The billing department was sus (having me email money transfer for the boxes separately to a personal account) they didn’t have their shit together with their invoice either the math wasn’t mathing. They forgot to clean out the medicine cabinet and ripped the shower curtain.
When it was time to do the unpacking (which is something I expressly requested as I’m disabled) they had to come back the next day because they hadn’t allowed the time or manpower for the job.
I even hired separate movers to move the hospital bed and lift chair so they didn’t have to do it.
I wouldn’t recommend this company!

Zurab and Maksut were incredibly polite and professional. They had such warm personalities and truly put their hearts into their work. I really enjoyed working with them and hope to do so again in the future. Thank you for sending such wonderful people!

Erik was fantastic! He and his crew handled everything so smoothly and efficiently that I barely had to lift a finger. The pricing was fair, and he even stayed late to make sure I had the time I needed. Amazing service. I’ll definitely be calling GetMovers again!

I was quoted $650 +tax = $734 ($243/hr for 3 hours + tax), keep in mind after 3 hrs its $123 for every additional hours.
My final bill skyrocketed to $1,225. This company uses aggressive fine print to inflate costs. Here is the breakdown of my experience and their "hidden" policies:

They "milked" the clock for at least 3 extra hours, costing me an additional $369 + tax in labor.

The Highlights:
• Slow Driving: A 24-minute drive took them 1.5 hours; a 45-minute drive took them nearly 2 hours. I arrived at the destination an hour before they did with zero traffic.

• Paid Breaks on Your Dime: You pay for a 15-minute break every two hours. They take more than allowed, and it adds up fast—just 4 breaks cost me $123 + tax in "non-working" time. They took more breaks than they should so keep that in mind when hiring them

• Hidden Fees: They tried to charge for stairs despite having an email from the office stating stairs were included. EXTRA 30MIN TO DISPUTE.

• Insurance Scams: They tried to force me to sign a waiver voiding my insurance because of a "barely noticeable" incline in the driveway. When I offered a flat parking alternative, they refused to walk the extra distance and STALLED FOR ANOTHER 30 minutes.

Save your money and the headache. My neighbor used Two Men & A Truck and had a much more professional experience without the shady waiver tactics.

Anyways long story short: Don't hire them if you want a smooth delivery.

Hidden Fees & Deposits:
• $150 non-refundable deposit (not disclosed as non-refundable until after payment)

• $40–$100 "Heavy Item" fees for heavy items.

• Stair Surcharges: They tried to charge for stairs despite an email promising they wouldn’t. Keep every email!

Milking the Clock:
• Packing Scams: If you pay them to pack, they purposefully take their time to "milk" the hourly rate.

• Your Fault if You Pack: If you pack the boxes yourself and they break them, they claim zero responsibility. You lose either way.

The "Hostage" Payment Policy: You are forced to pay the full balance 1 hour before they finish unloading at your destination. If you refuse to pay the inflated price on the spot, they will take your belongings to their storage unit and charge you $350–$550 CAD in extra storage fees

• Zero Liability for Damage: Their contract states they are NOT covered for scuffs, scratches, nicks, or dirt.

• Mechanical Failures & Traffic: If their truck breaks down or they get stuck in traffic, the hourly clock NEVER stops. You are billed for their mechanical issues and road delays.

• Parking Ticket Liability: If the movers get a ticket while parked at your home, YOU are responsible for the fine. 

BOTTOM LINE: They lure you in with a base rate and then "nickel and dime" you until the bill doubles. Avoid them at all costs.

GetMovers has proven to be an outstanding option for our family. They have supported bpth my adult children and me with several moves between Toronto and Oshawa and each experience has been seamless and well coordinated.

During our most recent move, Tom and Eddie managed everything impeccably and ensured the day was effortless from beginning to end. I would hesitate to recommended GetMovers to anyone.

This was my third move with Get Movers, and at this point I wouldn’t consider hiring another company. Their process is well structured, smooth, and consistently supportive from start to finish. The moving crew works incredibly hard and conducts themselves with real professionalism, but what truly sets them apart is their ability to adapt and step in when unexpected challenges arise during a move. They’re resourceful, capable, and genuinely committed to making the entire experience easier.
