I agree with all the bad feedback that is written about this site. I joined on their 0.99p subscription. After about 5 mins of logging into the site You are bombarded with messages from obvious bots. Messages from various people that you just know they wouldn,t write. I decided to cancel my subscription and phoned Customer services (this is a call centre operated in the Philippines). I tried to cancel any subscription associated to my card which they said they would sort. This obviously failed because 3 days later I was charged £40.70. I phoned Customer services again and asked why I had been charged and they informed me that when i took out initial subscription I was signing up for 2 services. I told them that I had called to cancel all subscriptions 5 days previous but they said unfortunately I had not made that clear enough. I answered back saying that if they took time to listen to the caller instead of offering discount packages or free 7 day trials then maybe they would have understood. Don,t give them the benefit of your money. All the good reviews on here are false....am I bitter about my experience, absolute "YES", but if I can prevent anybody from making the same mistake by writing this review, then i,m happier for it.

Hallo, ich habe mal eine Frage und vielleicht könnt ihr mir ja ein Rat oder Tipp geben. Ich hatte mich bei Gaystryst angemeldet und hab aber schnell dann gemerkt nach so 4 Tagen das es überhaupt nichts für mich ist und ich dann mein Account Kündigen wollte,ich habe alle Schritte die mir auf dieser Seite angezeigt worden sind getan bis auf ein Punkt wo stand es wird dir eine Email zu geschickt mit einem Code wo du die Kündigung mit Bestätigen musst leider kam keine Email an auch beim 3 oder 4 Versuch nicht dann habe ich direkt bei der Seite Angerufen und keiner sprach Deutsch so das man im Kundenservice nicht wirklich hilfe bekommen hat angeblich wurde das Probe Abo gekündigt aber sicher kann man sich da nicht so sein auch wenn eine Email vorhanden ist die aber leider nicht Detailiert geschrieben wurde. Es stand nur drin das der Account gekündigt ist, aber Komisch war das man sich dann immer noch auf der Seite anmelden konnte trotz Kündigung das erscheint mir einfach nicht Rechtens zu sein das ganze ich habe ja meine Kreditkarte angegeben als Zahlung und hab einfach diesen Sinn nicht verstanden das man dann die Zahlung abbuchen will ????? echt komisch weil ich kenne es nur so das wenn ich eine Kreditkarte angebe das dann auch gleich Abgebucht wird oder liege ich da falsch. Die haben dann wohl auch abgebucht leider kam mein Lohn 2 Tage später erst und Buchung konnte nicht eingelöst werden ganz plötzlich dann der schreck in den darauf folgenden Tagen kam dann eine Mail wo drin stand ich sollte dann 12 Euro Zahlen wegen der Rücklastschriftgebühren, da war ich sehr erschrocken warum das so viel ist. Leider kam mir dann eine Persönliche Angelegenheit da zwischen so das ich die Angelegenheit vergas weil es ja alles nur per Mail geschickt wurde hatte ich nicht mehr dran gedacht jetzt steht hat das Inkasso sich gemeldet und will auf einmal fast 77 Euro haben kennt zu fälligerweise jemand das Inkasso ecollect was kann ich machen kann mir jemand helfen hab das Gefühl das Gaystyst Betrug ist was das Geld angeht.

Got a bot message on Grindr that led here and I figured why not give it a try. Immediately realized it was nothing more than a phishing site with no option to respond unless I upgraded my membership. Received a ton of messages despite not having a profile pic posted which tells you all you need to know.

I decided to delete my account but I never received my email that has the 'code' that is required to be copied from my email into the website.

Gibt es schon neueres? Ich bin leider in der gleichen Situation. Trotz telefonischer Kündigung wird Geld abgebucht. Bräuchte Hilfe.

I took out a one day 99p subscription and hidden in the small print is a default monthly renewal of £42.
You have to phone the USA to cancel.

The site is a con from beginning to end. Draws in suckers by advertising free registration, but that is all that is free about it. Strictly for mugs only.... Writing this as I attempt to delete my account.... After much searching was told they'd email a code to complete the process. They eventually did so. Copied the code into the correct box only to be told it was the 'wrong' code... And so it goes on. Con artists doesn't begin to describe this bunch

Gaystryst is nothing but a scam. I felt like trying Gaystryst a while ago. That I regret. I signed up and after a while I wanted to cancel my subscription because it was expensive. No where on the page could I find a way for me to cancel it by myself so I had to call a number that was on a page for support. A lady answered. I explained to her I wanted to cancel my subscription. She never did that. Instead she became very cheerful explaing to me all the positive things about Gaystryst. I don't know if she worked at a call center... it was very weird. After the phonecall I contacted my bank. Told them what was going on and cancelled my old credit card and they gave me a new one. Gaystryst still has my old credit card number but they will never again get money from me.
Also. I think Gaystryst is collaborating with the app Grindr. I can not swear that it is like that, but it is in front of my eyes every time in Grindr so something is going on. I have a profile in Grindr and everytime I open Grindr in my phone I will get a message from a random profile (most likely fake). The message has nothing in it but a link. No matter what the link is called I will always be directed to Gaystryst if I open it. Is that a coincidence or what?

Piece of trash not a website! It's not even worth to get into deeper commenting. Just avoid this sh*thole & save your money guys! ;)

I consider Gaystryst to be thoroughly underhanded in their operations, and of course, exceedingly overpriced. Gaystryst sends a receipt for the fees for your 'trial period'. This is to give the initial impression that they are a company with integrity - it is a confidence trick. The catch is indeed hidden in their small print at the foot of the page ( you are not directed to read the Terms And Conditions as you are with most other companies) which, should you notice it, you may click on the link and discover that payments for full membership begin automatically if you do not cancel within the trial period. However, once full membership and (outrageously over priced) billing begins, you recieve no further e-mail notifications of receipt of payments - this is so as not to alert you to the fact that you are now being fleeced. Despite already being charged £58 - rising to £70 per month for full membership, you are likely to receive a pop up ad asking if you wish to add the 'VOD' , service , no price is shown but infact you will be charged a further £15 per month for this on top of the full membership fee. After discovering that I'd been charged approximately £350 over 5 months of membership I went through the process of cancelling my membership on the site, however at the end of the procedure you are then asked to telelphone the company ( based in the US) to finalise this!
Only last week I was contact by a Gaystryst member and asked to confirm whether or not I'd given his profile a 'like' on the website, as he suspected that this was a fake communication. I had to confirm to this person that I had never so much as seen their profile before let alone given it a 'like'.

Eigentlich hatte ich mich für ein kostenloses Probeabo auf gaysgodating.com angemeldet. Ich habe dort ein Profil angelegt als plötzlich eine zweite Seite, welche exakt die Daten aus meinem Profil übernommen hatte und optisch genauso aufgebaut war. Zuerst hab ich nicht verstanden, dass es sich um ein anderes Portal - nämlich gaystryst.com - handelt. Auch dort musste ich mein Profil nochmals bestätigen, was ich leider gemacht habe, da ich dachte, es hätte beim ersten Mal nicht funktioniert.
Da die Webseiten nicht die erwarteten Kriterien einer Dating-Seite erfüllten, habe ich das Probeabo wieder gekündigt. Eine online-Kündigung ist nicht möglich. Man wird genötigt, eine Telefon-Nummer anzurufen bei der die Mitarbeiter mit allen Tricks versuchen, dir weitere, teure Abos zu verkaufen. Darauf habe ich mich nicht eingelassen und die erwünschte Kündigungsbestätigung erhalten - für beide Plattformen. Leider habe ich die 14-Tage-Frist für das kostenlose Probeabo um knapp eine Woche versäumt. Doch schon wurden meinem Konto 68,13 EUR belastet, die mir nicht schlüssig und detailliert erläutert wurden, wie sich diese zusammensetzen. Zumal ich beim Testen der Plattform zu keiner Zeit einen Hinweis erhalten habe, dass ich nun ein kostenpflichtigen Service oder ein Abo abschließen würde. Dass mir 25 Euro in Rechnung gestellt wurden für die Übertretung der Laufzeit für das Probeabo, habe ich ja eingesehen - aber dass ich für alle beide Portale ein Abo abgeschlossen habe, war mir zu keinem Zeitpunkt bewusst. Die Betreiber der gaysgodating.com haben nach Rückbuchung der 68,13 EUR eine Inkassofirma beauftragt, die mir unter Androhung eines Gerichtsverfahrens mit erheblichen Mehrkosten insgesamt 144,95 EUR berechnen.
Laut meiner Rechtsanwältin birgt ein Gerichtsverfahren sehr gute Chancen, da die Intransparenz gegen geltendes EU-Recht im Fernabsatz verstößt.

Fazit: Die Plattformen bringen keine realen Datings sondern generieren nur Abofallen. FINGER WEG.

You know what really sells me on a dating site? Threatening to delete a message I received from another member unless I upgrade to premium within the next minute. This of course are from fake accounts made by the site to rope you into paying for a membership. They of course never actually delete those emails, it's just strong arm tactics by garbage people trying to prey upon vulnerable people. Terrible site, don't waste your time.

Ich habe sehr schlechte Erfahrungen mit dieser Dating Seite gemacht. Die gaukeln einem vor dass dass Abo im Jahr 23 Euro kostet, im nach hinein dann der Schock sie hätten dass eigentlich monatlich gemeint. Also knapp 290 Euro die man löhnen soll ,und zwar im voraus . Und selbst wenn man sofort künidigt beharren die auf ihr Geld. Also ich kann jedem nur sagen , Finger weg von Gaystryst !!!
