1 Star — Defective camera, firmware won't update, and dismissive customer support
I purchased the GardePro X60P Live Max (Cellular) in April 2025 for $143 directly from GardePro. For over a year it worked perfectly in the same location with the same settings. Then it started false-triggering constantly on medium sensitivity — recording hundreds of useless clips — and simultaneously failed to accept firmware updates after 7+ attempts.
I contacted support expecting a warranty replacement, since the camera is well within the 2-year warranty window and has never been misused or moved. Instead, I was told repeatedly that the issue was caused by "swaying branches," "heat sources," and "direct sunlight" — the same location the camera had worked flawlessly in for over a year. Nothing about my setup changed. Support refused to acknowledge that as a defect.
After multiple back-and-forth emails over two weeks, they finally escalated to their R&D team, who responded with a manual firmware file link instead of a replacement. I was not willing to download a file to my computer that could contain anything. At that point I'd had enough and requested to cancel my cellular subscription before the renewal date.
If you're considering this camera, be aware: when something goes wrong, support will blame your environment rather than address the issue, and getting a warranty replacement honored will be an uphill battle.
