Ich bin von dieser App wirklich enttäuscht. Benutzerunfreundlich und die Ergebnisse waren alle 4 grausam und das, obwohl ich das neueste Tool genutzt habe und dabei direkt 25% meines gesamten Monatsvolumens eingesetzt habe. ich frage mich, warum diese App empfohlen wird. Ich mache auf meinem PC in kürzerer zeit bessere Präsentationen und zwar zum Nulltarif. Also Finger weg. ich habe das Abo soeben direkt gekündigt. Schade um die 24 Euro.

Why is it so complicated? AI is everywhere, and when we have our text ready, it does not do the work seamlessly.

Gamma.app promises AI-powered design freedom. It delivers the opposite.
Every deck looks the same. Same card layouts. Same stock gradient backgrounds. Same clipart-tier AI images. You can feed it ten different topics across ten different industries and the output feels interchangeable.
The template library pretends to offer variety. It does not. Swap the theme and you get the same structure with different fonts. Title card. Two-column card. Image-left card. Bullet card. Closing card. The pattern repeats on every generation.
Image output is weak. Faces warp. Hands distort. Branded visuals look pasted on. You end up deleting most AI images and replacing them with stock photos, which defeats the point of using an AI deck generator.
Layout intelligence is shallow. Gamma cannot handle dense content. Feed it a technical topic with diagrams, equations, or data matrices and it flattens everything into bullet points. There is no real understanding of hierarchy, emphasis, or information design.
Customisation feels locked down compared to PowerPoint or Keynote. You cannot truly break the grid. Card-based rendering forces a uniform rhythm that prevents any real visual differentiation. Editing individual elements at a pixel level is clunky.
The themes are cosmetic. Colours change. Typography shifts. The underlying skeleton does not. A "minimalist" deck and a "bold" deck share the same bones, which is why every Gamma presentation on LinkedIn looks like every other Gamma presentation on LinkedIn. Recipients recognise the aesthetic within two slides. That recognition is not a compliment.
Pricing compounds the problem. You pay a monthly subscription to produce decks that signal "I used Gamma" louder than they signal your actual content.
For a rough first draft, Gamma saves time. For anything requiring originality, brand differentiation, or genuine design craft, it fails. The tool optimises for speed and surrenders everything else.
Verdict: a fast draft engine, not a design platform. Treat it accordingly, and do the real design work elsewhere.

The only platform that created the AI presentation absolutely correct, including images and graphics, WITHOUT errors or misunderstanting the prompt. Every other platform I've tried, needed dozens of tries to edit and reach a professional result. 100 % recommended for AI presentations.

I would strongly advise against using the Gamma AI app. I accidentally subscribed, and the experience has been extremely disappointing from start to finish.

The product itself is unreliable and often doesn’t work as intended. Outputs are frequently inaccurate, inconsistent, and not usable for anything beyond the most basic tasks. It feels like the app overpromises and significantly underdelivers on what it claims to do.

Even more frustrating is the customer service. It is slow, unhelpful, and lacks any real effort to resolve issues. Attempts to get support or clarification were met with generic responses and no meaningful assistance.

Overall, the entire experience feels misleading and, frankly, borderline fraudulent given the gap between what’s advertised and what’s actually delivered. I regret signing up and would not recommend this app to anyone.

The AI functions are by far the worst I've seen. Without the AI functions, its almost impossible to format the slides and heads yourself. Even typing in the AI prompt, has a 5-10 second delay.

Terrible customer support. Our reports literally are in compliance with their terms of conditions… but their moderation AI keeps taking reports down (customers have access). Their only answer is to “reach out” for a manual review. So our customers lose access to what they paid for… then same pattern each time… I have to email them once to get through their AI customer support… then I get some lower level support who sends some repetitive response (on the lines “sorry can’t help”) then i demand an escalation and some manager agrees there never was a problem and puts it back up. It’s ludicrous! They refuse to fix their AI or provide us with a solution to avoid (other to keep repeating this ridiculous process).

I have spent two days and 80+ interactions with the Gamma.app support team.

There are three problems:

1. The Support Agent Sal

Persistently evades the answers and gets most of them wrong.

2. The Support Team

As well as often getting the wrong answers, they can suddenly just disappear from the chat. They claim they have 24/7 chat. It feels like they have an inexperienced team.

3. The app for building sites has many shortfalls.

These are mostly the type you only find out at the end of your build. For example, and referring back to (1) - it took 79 interactions to finally get them to admit - you cannot embed email capture forms from reputable providers like MailerLite.

Both of the above are fundamental to site building.

I was hesitant to try Gamma because of some reviews about their support, but my experience was the exact opposite! Their customer service is world-class. I contacted them twice via email and received a human response within 5 minutes both times.
First, I accidentally signed up for a yearly plan instead of monthly. They refunded the difference almost instantly, leaving only the single month I intended to pay for. Then, a month later(Two days ago), I forgot to cancel and was charged again. I reached out explaining the mistake, and they issued a full refund immediately without any hassle.
If you're worried about billing or support, don't be. They are incredibly responsive and fair. 10/10 experience!

The platform itself worked ok(ish). Not great, but for some things it was ok. I found other solutions that were much better though. My issue is that they auto renewed my subscription without any notice or reminders. I asked for a refund informing that they don't give any notices about upcoming renewals and they said they refuse to issue any refunds.

Gamma is one of those tools that looks impressive in demo videos and falls flat in real use.
After paying for a full year upfront, I quickly discovered that the AI output is repetitive, the language support for non-English users is poor, and the overall quality simply does not match the price tag.
When I reached out to request even a partial refund for the 10 months I hadn't used, I was told the 3-day refund window had passed. Three days. For an annual subscription. That policy alone should tell you everything you need to know about how much this company values its customers.
Save your money. Test any AI tool on a monthly basis before committing annually — especially this one.

After the Google Notebook LM came out as a far superior product. Gamma has refused to honor any requests to cancel. I canceled 2 days before at their website as required, but Gamma claimed I did not. That is an dishonest practice, even I presented my screenshot of my cancellations. This is definitely an inferior product and worse, a horrible and dishonest company. Avoid! Avoid!

ZERO STARS OK. NOT 1. Number 1) They CUT YOU OFF from publishing changes for being 2 days late with payment. 2) Their AI deliberately does the opposite of what you ask for so it could keep using up your AI credits 3) Even the Chat bot is a nightmare to reach a human 4) Very Very VERY NOT GOOD. Wish I came here before I placed so many sites there; I am still going to find an alternative though. Can't do this

While the app is actually very cool, their back-office is lacking. The monthly subscription processed on my bank account but my subscription wasn't activated. When asked about they told me to wait for the payment to clear so in the meantime I would either be able to use the 'free' version or pay for it AGAIN and maybe receive a refund for the paid amount that may have cleared. Overall a very poor experience, felt that the replies from their customer support were very abrupt and actually quite rude. I've deleted my account and will look for an alternative.

I didn't realize the window for refunds was only three days. Very dissapointed with this company.

You can't change your email - ridiculous. If you want to change your email for whatever reason it is not possible to do so with Gamma. Support reccommended downgrading my subscription and adding someone to my workspace - but of course that is not possible either because the free option does not allow other people on a workspace. Time wasting and frustrating. No from me.

While the initial prompt provided a decent structure, everything beyond that was a complete waste of time. The customer service is terrible, and the platform is missing basic functionality—like the ability to save images so you don’t have to upload the same ones repeatedly. I’m not looking for AI-generated images. Overall, it’s a very disappointing product. I wasted too much time fixing the AI Slop Gamma produced to write a more detailed review.

L'app est pratique mais je ne la trouve pas très éloignée d'un powerpoint classique...Mais leur service client est déplorable puisque ce sont surement des robots derrière, ils ont refusé de me rembourser le renouvellement de mon abonnement pour une année supplémentaire alors que je me servais plus de l'app depuis déjà 10 mois et que j'ai fait la demande 1 mois après le renouvellement. Alors faites attention....Abusé!

So overrated, terrible platform. Stick with powerpoint!
