Customer Service Politeness Masking Operational Confusion: A Mixed Experience
The customer service agent was polite and had a good attitude, but seemed unfamiliar with the Terms of Purchase and Delivery. I called and asked if I could place an order online and pick it up directly at the warehouse, as stated in their Terms of Purchase. The agent confirmed I could but said I still had to pay for shipping fee.
Next, I inquired about returning a product within 14 days under the open purchase terms. The agent initially denied this, saying open purchase is only for private customers, without asking if I was a private or business customer. When I clarified that I was a private customer, the agent acknowledged my right to return items within 14 days. However, the agent then said private customers cannot pick up products from the warehouse.
Realizing the agent was unfamiliar with all the terms and procedures, I asked to speak with a supervisor. Amusingly, the agent claimed the supervisor was busy and asked me to call back in 20 minutes. When I called back, I spoke to the same agent, who relayed a message from the supervisor denying the possibility of warehouse pickup for private customers.
Despite their politeness, it was clear they did not accept complaints or feedback at all.
