Disappointing Billing Practices and Lack of Responsiveness
Despite our long-term relationship with Fusion Connect, spanning several years during which their products and services were satisfactory, we encountered significant issues related to billing and responsiveness.
Following a relocation, we inadvertently continued to be billed for services we believed were terminated and had gone unused for over a year. Upon discovery, we promptly notified Fusion Connect and sought to cancel the service. However, we were told that we needed to pay a cancellation fee for the remaining contract term.
When we sought clarification on the contractual basis for this fee, Fusion Connect provided a service order signed by a company representative in 2017, which bounded us to their services until 2020. To our surprise, this service order had been silently renewed annually without requiring explicit approval, extending our commitment beyond the initial term on the service order.
While we acknowledge our oversight in not cancelling the service promptly, we were disappointed by Fusion Connect's handling of the situation. Despite multiple attempts to dispute the early termination fee and expedite the resolution process, we encountered excessive delays and resistance from their customer support team as they denied all attempts by us to speak to a representative with decision-making power.
Ultimately, the prolonged dispute and lack of responsiveness compelled us to settle the matter. The time and resources expended on this dispute certainly exceeded the disputed charges, suggesting a possible tactic to discourage cancellation and disputing charges. It is because of our poor experience with Fusion Connect that we do not recommend doing business with them
