Eine hervorragende Betreuung von der ersten Anfrage, über die persönliche Beratung vor Ort in der Manufaktur bis zur Lieferung. Es gab immer einen persönlichen Ansprechpartner. Das Kingston-Chesterfield Sofa, das extra Kissen und der Footstool sind von einer wunderbaren Qualität und mehr Kunst als einfache Möbel. Die Betreuung war ausgesprochen freundlich und unaufdringlich, sehr präzise für alle Fragen und umfassend was die Möglichkeiten betraf. Wir haben Materialproben im Vorfeld erhalten, wurden direkt am Hotel in Manchester abgeholt und in den Showroom und die Manufaktur gebracht (und später auch wieder zurückgebracht), konnten alle Modelle ausprobieren und fühlten uns als Individuen mit unseren Ansprüchen ernst genommen. Die von mir ausgewählten Produkte sind ganz präzise auf mich abgestimmt und seit sie geliefert wurden, erfreuen sie mich jeden Tag. Das Sofa ist so dermaßen fein, dass ich sehr viel mehr Zeit darauf verbringe als geplant 😂. Die Möbel sind so zeitlos, dass sie sich wunderbar in unser modernes Haus mit den antiken orientalischen Teppichen und Raumteiler-Screens einfügen.
Nach der Lieferung wurden meine Fragen zur Pflege der Möbel alle sorgfältig beantwortet und ich habe mich sehr über die Dokumentation in Buchform gefreut.

When we visited Fleming Howland they couldn't have been more helpful in showing us different styles of chair, different leather finishes, how things were made in the factory, etc. Enjoyable as well as informative.
The desk chair itself is beautiful, wonderfully well-made - if you thought craftsmanship was dead, then Fleming Howland will make you realise it isn't. I expect to enjoy the chair the rest of my life, and look forward to passing it on!!

My wife and I purchased a full five piece suite from Fleming and Howland shortly after retirement to last throughout our retirement given their products are handmade and advertised as exceptional quality etc. Disappointingly only 18 months after delivery, we noticed a serious stain had appeared on one of the backrests of the high back chair - the accountability or lack of, from F&H is really disappointing.

We raised this straight away with F&H with the ‘warranty’ in mind due to what I would consider a major flaw in the leather, assuming that their team would go out of their way to assist and help to rectify the issue.

Instead I was met with the following vague and dismissive response: ‘I can confirm that this is not a fault with the leather, but rather a natural characteristic of genuine leather. As a porous, organic material, leather can gradually absorb natural oils, perspiration, or hair products in areas that come into regular contact with the head and neck. Over time, this may lead to slight darkening or changes in appearance. This is considered normal wear and tear and part of how real leather develops its character.’

Just to provide some context - I am the only one who sits in the chair and do not wear any aftershaves or hair gel and as such cannot understand that the stain has been caused by.

F&H suggested that I would either need to seek advice from a leather specialist as a more ‘cost effective solution’ or I could get the chair returned to have the leather replaced which would be at a cost to ourselves, despite the apparent warranty supplied. I’m appalled at the lack of responsibility or support being offered post-purchase in spite of their team failing to explain pre-purchase, that any of what they describe as ‘wear and tear’ being a possibility - we would not have purchased at all if we had known that simply sitting on the chair may cause staining!

I would avoid this company like the plague. Over £10k spent on a living room suite and this is the service you receive.

I have leather seats in my car and have had various leather suites over the years and never had this issue. Clearly my car has better quality leather than what has been supplied by this company.

The company had great attention to detail during the design process and promptly answered my questions. The sofas are beautiful.

I had a problem with cracking and dye. I am very pleased with the solution offered. The sofa is magnificent. Beautifully constructed.

I needed a special tweek to the bone color, and FH responded unbelievably well!

The quality of leather and overall finish of the furniture was first class

Wir haben zwei sehr teure Sofas erstanden. Preis über 10.000€. Leider sinken die Sitzflächen nach hinten hin ab, das war aus der Beschreibung heraus nicht ersichtlich. Nach England sind wir nicht extra zum Probesitzen gereist.
FH hat als Abhilfe geboten und wollte höhere Hinterfüße liefern. Dann beschloss das Team uns einfach Vorderfüße zu schicken, die niedriger sind. Wir wollen uns aber auf eine tiefere Sitzhöhe nicht einlassen, denn schließlich war die ORiginalhöhe ja ausschlaggebend.
Wir sollen jetzt die Hinterfüße bezahlen (60€ plus Lieferung plus FedEx 20€, haben wir schon für die falschen Füße bezahlt).
Bei dem Gesamtbetrag für die Sofas ist das sehr unerfreulich.
Generell würde ich nie wieder bei FH etwas kaufen.
Ach ja, das Leder wirkt nach 3 Monaten auch schon sehr ausgetrocknet und es sind viele Strukturfehler darin. Dies sind nicht unsere ersten Chesterfield-Sofas, die alten hatten diese Fehler nicht. Haben über 40 Jahre gehalten. die von FH werden das sicher nicht schaffen. Die neuen Sofas sehen zwar (noch) gut aus, sind aber eher unbequem.
Ein echter Fehlkauf!
Nach der Antwort: 1. Zeit ist vergangen, weil die Antwortzeiten der Korrespondenz lang waren.
2. Wir hatten wegen der Füße etwas ausgemacht, nämlich die hinteren. F und H haben das ohne weitere Absprachen zu Vorderfüßen gemacht.
Das ist nicht das, was ich unter Kulanz verstehe. Euphemistisch ausgedrückt ist das hinter die Fichte führen.
Also: Nie wieder Fleming und Howland.

Fleming and Howland makes exceptional furniture. The process to get it is a demonstration of faith. I can attest that we were nervous to make such a large purchase with such limited information but it was completely worth it in the end. Communication from F&H is great. They responded quickly to any questions and wanted to ease our concerns. It took about two months longer than anticipated and approximately eight months total to receive our furniture; it was completely worth the wait. The furniture is like nothing we could purchase locally. We have an older formal home and the chesterfield chairs and couch are perfect for our formal living area. Highly recommend Fleming and Howland.
