I bought a Fjern Orkan jacket a couple of years ago, and quite quickly it started coming apart and ceased to be waterproof. I tried getting a replacement but originally they said it was out of guarantee, which was disappointing. More recently I tried again, and to be fair they were excellent and offered me the Orkan II as a replacement. I've tried the new jacket in blizzard conditions in the Brecons and it did very well. I'm holding off 5 stars as it's too early to tell whether this one (with the new version of eVent fabric) will last.

Yes, behind the scenes there is the corporate hand, as with most companies these days, but, the surprising thing about Fjern, is that it feels like there is still a very human interface...you feel like you are buying from a homegrown company, that reply to your emails and address your concerns. I have never had any issues buying from Fjern...it has always been smooth and speedy. I have bought at least three tents, and one of the best waterproof shells I have owned was the Orkan (as good as, if not better than any Goretex I have had). The list goes on tbh, but, basically, Fjern are trustworthy and great to deal with

Great jacket

Bought a FJERN Arktis III jacket through a third party. Like the style and the quality although the price is a little high when considering they are not ‘yet maybe’ a mainstream brand. As already mentioned in a number of other reviews, it would benefit from an outer chest pocket. Inside pockets are a great feature and very useful. The only issue I have is the hanging loop. Mine broke the first time I hung it up. Returned the jacket and the replacement did exactly the same! I’ve repaired it myself as it’s a minor thing BUT clearly the tape had not been folded before stitching, a basic error which makes me a little nervous for the longer term wear and tear! We’ll see!!

Great quality stuff but comes up really small compared to other brands in the same size. I recently bought an orkan jacket in medium and it's tiny compared to my mountain equipment Makalu jacket in the same size in fact every other jacket I own is a medium

Very stylish, colours as shown, fit as expected and very comfortable.
As I was so impressed with its quality, I'll now be looking out for Fjern garments in the future.

Ich trage die Jacke bereits jetzt im vierten Winter und bin immer noch total begeistert, wie dünn und kompakt und trotzdem so Wind und Kälte abweisend sie ist. Kann ich ganz klar nur empfehlen.

Incredibly slow to refund me. I bought a jacket which didn't fit - OK if you had gorilla arms and no hips. I returned it on 22nd December, tracked with Evri. It arrived on 23rd December. As of 22nd January I still have not had a refund. Communication is extremely poor and they don't respond to emails. Avoid

Ordered a jacket and when it arrived it was too large. Sent it back but couldn't start a return process on the website because when I created an account it did not recognise my order (I had ordered as a guest). I returned the jacket anyway as per the returns address on the website and put a note in the package with my name and order number. Package was sent tracker and was received 2 days later.

Emailed fjern support team to let them know return was sent with order details etc. Took a few days longer for a reply but return and refund sorted no issues.

The Actik II jacket I ordered then in large, I'm 6'1 and 97k but slim build and it is definitely the right fit with room to wear a heavy jumper underneath. Good length on the arms and body. The quality is up there with other more expensive brands. Will look to buy other stuff from Fjern in the future.

The jacket is really great. Light, warm and wind proof. Fairly good rain resistance.
The delivery was prompt.

Size guide is incorrect so needed to return the item 3 days have passed and still no reply on how to return the order I would avoid at all costs

I purchased a men’s Eldfjall down jacket. I would say there is little if any actual down feather or feathers of any sort in this jacket. It does not feel like down to wear and it does not perform the same. It’s bulky and restricted around the arms. I can feel no feathers through the material. Jacket is waterproof and fits true to size.

I received a defective item, which raises concerns about basic quality control. The proposed compensation was about 10% refund if I chose to keep the faulty item. Overall, a disappointing experience.

I'm so disappointed! I bought a Fjern Arktis III in preparation for an upcoming hiking trip in late September. It fit perfectly, looked great and felt warm and cosy, so I packed it away until it was needed. Imagine my dismay last week when it promptly ripped on the second day of my trip in rural Ecuador, after literally brushing along a twig on a trail. Duck down poured out everywhere, and I had to tape it up for the remainder of the trip. I have had down coats last for more than a decade before, so for this to happen within 2 days of wear seems inconceivable. I have requested a replacement or refund as I don't think this is acceptable durability, resolution awaited....perhaps Fjern jackets are not meant for outdoor use?!

Very lightweight yet durable, and it fits the tent perfectly. The material feels high-quality and offers excellent protection against moisture and rough ground. Easy to pack and hardly adds any weight. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to extend the life of their tent.
