Fitness First Arvostelua 

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction and disappointment with the treatment I received at your fitness center, Fitness First, located at Dalma Mall, Abu Dhabi, on 26/04/2024.
As a long-standing member of Fitness First for several years, I never imagined I would be subjected to such negligence and disrespect.

On 26/04/2024, while preparing to leave the center, I unfortunately experienced a severe fall from the stairs within your facility, resulting in a head injury that required immediate medical attention. I was subsequently rushed to the hospital, where I received approximately 25 stitches to treat the injury. This incident not only caused me physical harm but also left me emotionally shaken and deeply concerned about the safety standards at your establishment.

Instead of showing genuine concern for my well-being and taking responsibility for the incident, I was appalled by the insensitive and callous behavior exhibited by your staff, including the manager . Rather than offering support or assistance, I received multiple phone calls from your management team, informing me of a deduction on my subscription and stating that I would not be allowed to return to the facility unless accompanied by a next of kin at all times. This treatment was not only disrespectful but also completely unacceptable given the circumstances of my injury.

In the aftermath of the incident, I sought medical advice from other healthcare professionals to understand the underlying cause of my fall. Contrary to the insinuations made by your staff, these medical professionals confirmed that I do not suffer from any health condition that would predispose me to sudden falls. However, they recommended reviewing the surveillance camera footage from your fitness center to determine the exact circumstances leading to my fall and to rule out any potential medical causes.

It is deeply troubling that despite being a loyal member of Fitness First for several years, I have been subjected to such neglect and mistreatment. As a fitness center that prides itself on promoting health and well-being, I expected better from your establishment. It is evident that there are significant gaps in your safety protocols and customer care standards that need to be addressed immediately.

Therefore, I urge you to take prompt and decisive action to rectify these issues and ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future. This includes conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding my fall, implementing enhanced safety measures within your facility, and providing appropriate training to your staff on how to handle similar situations with compassion and professionalism.

Furthermore, I demand a formal apology from Fitness First for the manner in which I was treated following the incident, as well as a full refund of any fees deducted from my subscription during my absence from the facility.

Please be advised that I am considering legal action if these concerns are not addressed satisfactorily and in a timely manner. I trust that you will take this matter seriously and prioritize the well-being and safety of your members going forward.

Is Fitness First going broke ? Or do they not care ?The spin room at fitness first Sylvania is disgraceful and getting worse they refuse to fix it management dont care bikes are all broken…roof leaks

If I could leave zero stars I would. This company is a disgrace. Their gyms are full of old broken equipment that takes months to repair. When it is repaired it breaks again in a matter of weeks. Their gyms are FILTHY and equipment is never cleaned. Their customer service is APPALLING! They will sign you up very quickly but getting assistance after that is impossible. Be VERY careful signing a contract here as they make it near impossible to leave and will keep charging you long after you leave. If you cancel your direct debit they will send debt collectors after you. PLEASE read all of the reviews - yes we are disgruntled ex customers but there is a reason why there are so many and their rating is so low and they are shutting down in other states. They are on their way out. Do yourself a favour and join a smaller gym with better reviews - there are plenty out there. Please learn from our mistake.

Immer wieder werden Beitraege abgebucht, trotz vollständiger Vorauszahlung. Kundenservice ist nicht zu erreichen. Kontakt über Manager funktioniert nicht.Da hilft nur Klage.

Fitness First Bondi Junction Westfield - When approaching reception a big tall young man jumps in and says VIP members don't want to mix with you non VIP and laughed I swore at him to not be an ! Smart ASS..... I request Upper Management he laughed and said I am upper Management. I wanted to know why we cannot use the ladies bathrooms since these ones are closed. He said we don't have to provide you with toilets or change rooms go into Westfield just go there.
As I left he yelled out loud not my fault you pissed your pants WHICH I clearly had not. I have been asked by other staff and Members to make a complaint. FF really do NOT care about their Members. Other gyms are aware of this as I did end up swearing, quote I should swear if they gang up at reception saying Im beneath VIP Members.

The company need to look at their structure, they are closing gyms left and right and its answer is to raise prices, I would understand if it was a luxury gym, but it is a standard gym, and it doesn't have any special features or benefits.
The staff in the majority are great, super helpful and informative, but the facilities are standard but you are paying a premium for them.
If it wasn't conveniently located for me I wouldn't have started as a member and I am going to cancel my membership now since I have moved

Some reviews here state fitness first is ideal when you travel and their website also indicates access but the reality is fitness first in different countries including Australia do not support traveller visits even with a signed international pass and will ask for a $65 one visit fee.

They won't let you out of the contract when you move house to an area they do not service, because they just want their money.

Nachdem ein Betrag nicht abgebucht wurde (Habe es zurückbuchen lassen weil FF einfach erhöht hat und nach mehrmaliger Beschwerde nicht geändert hat) wurde das an Inkasso geschickt.

Gute Studios in Trier, mit Möglichkeiten zu fast jedem Training.
Nette Trainer, z.B. David G , der gut gelaunt zu jeder Zeit da ist, wenn man Hilfe braucht.

Service bei Krankmeldung reine Katastrophe!!
Es wird einfach Kostenpflichtige Ruhezeit eingetragen.
Finde ich unverschämt.
Die Erfahrung wurde immer wieder gemacht.

Been with the gym since 2007 and the last price increase has been $12 bi-weekly for 2024 on top of the 2023 increase. #GFY

Flinder St Platinum and Glen Waverley look exactly the same for 10 years. All the black on machines is faded, the padding on machines is nill (feels like just metal on shoulders), running machines try to run fast the machines stall.

Their improvements? They changed their faded black floor mats to "new" black floor mats because the cheapest option is to fake newness.

Instead of fixing the bloody bikes (handlebars, seats moving while in class), they promise to fix them, promise to buy new ones - it's all fake! NOTHING has changed.

If you like naked men showering with open doors staring back at you - then this city venue is for you!

Super schönes, sauberes, modernes, renoviertes Fitnessstudio mit hochwertigen Geräten! Sehr groß, gutes Klientel und sehr nettes Personal. Dazu schöne, geräumige Sanitäranlagen und mit Pool!

Fantastic gym with welcoming staff. I travel a lot and like to use Fitness Gyms whenever I am abroad!

Stay away from this gym, they’re literally thieves that just keep taking money!!

There is an in-crowd led by a PT, they will make every other member feel excluded, you will feel awkward just by showing up to the gym. This PT, Sogand Oskooei has taken the movie Mean Girls to the next level. Sogand exhibits a demeanour that is both negative and flirtatious, creating an unsettling atmosphere within the gym. Her proprietary attitude at the gym is quite noticeable. She often flaunts her perceived ownership of the gym's space and equipment.

I recently joined the market St., Sydney platinum Fitness First. It is far from platinum. To start with the change rooms are so dirty, there has been an item on the floor for the past four days. I don’t think they clean the showers and I’ve seen cockroaches in the sauna. As far as the gyms concerned, the staff think it’s OK to take up three or four machines and benches with their clients at the one time. No one un racks, and the weights are all over the place. There are no spin classes, which I’ve been told that’s been the case since Covid.

I joined this gym as I moved back to Sydney and I live across the road so it’s convenient. However, I’ll be canceling very shortly.

Very poor customer service when it comes to cancelling membership.

I was a member for a few years and requested to cancel my membership.
It took some time for them to cancel, they attempted to incentivise me to stay which I declined.
I have never had a more painful experience in ceasing a membership.
Fitness First requested a payment that I am not contractually obligated to pay which I have explained to them on countless occasions without success.
I am at the point that I will be escalating this to an external body for review.

If there is not sufficient balance in you bank account, they charge extra $10 in addition to your membership fee which is definitely not fair. I would suggest the account teams to look into this as they should give the customer second chance.
