Fire Work Glass Studio Arvostelua

We enquired with Fire Work via their website 6 days before the date we required. From the outset Debby was great with prompt replies and all the information needed. They even give a heads up about the dogs that will greet you on arrival should this be a concern to you. We booked a morning for the "Experience hosted by Izach and Family". We'd booked the experience as something completely different and special to do for our 20th Wedding Anniversary. It didn't disappoint.

We arrived in plenty of time to do the waivers and have a look at some of the amazing creations and colours of glass before heading into the workshop. Izach and Debby were amazing in the workshop, calm, knowledgeable, reassuring. They guided up but still allowed us to be hands on, they didn't take over. Both really friendly and enthusiastic. Drinks (hot and cold) in a variety of choices were available for the short breaks between.

We made 3 items, a paperweight, a flower and a glass. Worth thinking about what you might like to make and colours before you go, we didn't but it didn't matter. Izach and Debby also guided on colours to avoid diasters (think toddler with the paints with added chemical reactions, could end up a yucky brown!?).

During the session Debby took loads of photos, within 45mins of leaving we had the photos - impressive. And later that evening we had videos that have been made of clips from each creation showing the start to finish for each item, they were brilliant and totally unexpected to have them like this edited together. This shows a real commitment and care for customers.
The morning after Debby sent a WhatsApp with photo to confirm the items had survived the kiln overnight. We were then able to arrange collection at our convenience. They were all ready for us wrapped in plenty of bubble wrap for the journey home.

We wanted to do something unique and unforgettable for our anniversary, Debby and Izach didn't know but thay saint matter because they certainly delivered. High quality experiences are clearly the norm - well done! 😀

We had such a lovely day and have three beautiful items to remember it by. We have already shared with family and friends and would definitely recommend anyone looking for something different and creative, or if you've always wanted to have a go at glass blowing definitely get yourself booked in with Fire Work Studio, you won't regret it!

We absolutely loved our experience at Fire Work Glass Studio. We made a paperweight and a pair of his & hers wine glasses, and the whole experience was brilliant from start to finish.

Debby was fantastic from our very first contact, helping us in the studio and then organising collection of our pieces once they had cooled.

Izach was equally brilliant — his passion for glass is infectious, and his knowledge of the craft, its history and the many different uses of glass made the experience even more interesting.

The studio is in beautiful surroundings, and they were incredibly accommodating of our two children and even our dog, which made the whole experience very relaxed and enjoyable.

A genuinely memorable experience and something a little different. We would highly recommend it.

Tring something different was the goal, the whole experience and presses was brilliant, Izach and Debby were amazing hosts , Izach explained ever detail and we just followed his instructions, by the end of the afternoon we had made a stunning paper weight , vase and flower. Amazing keepsakes from a wonderful day.

I’m still grinning after an absolutely fantastic session with Izach and Debby at Fire Work Glass Studio.

Glassblowing has been on my bucket list for years, so while holidaying nearby I decided to finally treat myself. I’m so glad I did. This was genuinely one of the most informative, fun and completely absorbing experiences I’ve ever had.

What makes it so special is just how hands-on it is. This isn’t standing at the side watching someone demonstrate while you occasionally get to have a go. You get one-to-one tuition and are properly involved in creating your own pieces, working with the molten glass and learning the techniques as you go.

Izach’s passion and knowledge are absolutely off the charts. Hugely personable, patient and engaging, he explains not just what you’re doing but why, and I found myself completely absorbed in the whole process. Someone seriously needs to get this man on television because his enthusiasm is infectious.

Over a couple of hours I made three completely bespoke pieces: a paperweight, a vase and a flower. There is something incredibly rewarding about starting with molten glass and gradually seeing something you have actually made emerge from it.

The whole experience felt genuinely magical. You can’t help but channel some of Izach’s passion into what you’re creating, and I came away not only with three unique pieces that mean far more to me because I made them, but with a brilliant memory of the experience itself.

If you’ve ever fancied trying glassblowing, do it here. If you’ve never fancied trying glassblowing, do it here anyway. You probably just don’t know you fancy it yet.

An absolutely brilliant experience and easily one of the highlights of my holiday. Thank you, Izach and Debby.

An amazing glass‑blowing experience with Isaak and Debby. They’re patient, talented, and make you feel confident from the first moment. The session is hands‑on, fun, and beautifully guided — you leave with something you’re proud of and a memory that sticks. Highly recommend.

After my Dad had such a great experience he wanted to share it. So I was very lucky to have a voucher for my birthday which myself and my sister attended. What an experience it was, great fun really interesting and inspiring. With are final unique pieces to take home. Highly recommend.

Fabulous all round.
An opportunity to be in and experience glass blowing in an artists own studio in gorgeous grounds and share their passion for the glass was amazing. Was fun, informative and welcoming . Big thanks to Izaich and Debby for such a wonderful experience. Highly recommended .

Purchased this experience as a birthday gift for my husband, to be had whilst on holiday and it didn't disappoint. We both had a fabulous morning, Izach was brilliant and really good at sharing all the important information and gave clear instructions. Debby was also brilliant and really welcoming as well as taking some fabulous photos and videos of our morning. Our pieces were absolutely amazing and survived the cooling process well!

I booked a glasswork Experience hosted by Izach and Family, for my wife for her 40th Birthday, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience.
We had to move the date at very short notice due to a poorly child and Debby was very accomodating to get us booked back in with a new date straight away.
Neither of us had worked with glass before but despite this Izach was able to get us working comfortably in no time. His enthusiasm, knowledge and expertise shine through with his instruction, which sets you at ease. He explains each of the steps in a way that is easy to understand and lets you get hands on experience with positive coaching and guidance to allow you to create your pieces.
It was very warm in the workshop with the 1000⁰c ovens and molten glass but there were plenty of breaks for cool drinks throughout.
We made 3 pieces during our session, a purple planet like paperweight, a fire apple paperweight and a stemless wine glass which my wife enjoy drinking wine out of on Saturday night.
Both of us would not hesitate to do this again in a heartbeat and could not recommend it more highly to anyone we have spoken to.

Was hinting to my husband for a while to get this for my birthday and it was a truely fantastic experience. Izach is so enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and we got to work with the glass throughout the process more than I thought we would.

Managed to make a paperweight, vase and bowl within the time (although we did run over slightly) and so pleased with how they all turned out! We had a great choice of colours and finishes that can be achieved.

We don’t live very local so Debby posted everything to us, it was very well packaged and all arrived safely.

Would highly recommend. A great experience!

I gifted this experience for my wife and daughter at Christmas and they both thoroughly enjoyed it. Debby and Izach were so welcoming and obviously very knowledgeable and passionate about their craft. The studio and surroundings are beautiful creating a lovely relaxed atmosphere. There's a number of choices of what to make and my wife and daughter were very pleased with the pieces they made, putting them to good use already! This experience comes highly recommended.

Wonderful experience, would defo let do it again!

What an amazing Experience!!

I purchased the glass blowing experience for my Wife for Christmas and we actually went down to Devon mid April. We were welcomed to the studio by Debby and Izach, and the wonderful garden where the studio is.

My Wife started off by making a lovely green paperweight, with Izach instructing and assisting. Dipping the molten glass into the different colours and putting the glass (on the end of the rod) into the heater to keep it molten. Then shaping using the wooden cup and then using the wet newspaper to ensure the smooth finish. Then finally tapping the rod to detach the glass from the rod. My Wife then made a beautiful vase using similar techniques but also blowing the shape of the vase. It was enchanting to watch.

It was then my turn. I have mobility issues due to illness but Debby and Izach were very understanding and patient with me and took into account my limitations. I made a similar paperweight but in blue.

Throughout the experience Debby takes photos and video of the guests and sends them to you afterwards.

Overall, a fantastic experience. Not relaxing (due to the 700 degree hot molten glass being so close to you) but thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding. I would highly recommend this experience.

We loved our session with Izach and Debby! It was a truly awesome experience being hands on with making our paperweights and a bowl - all guided beautifully by Izach who’s passion and enthusiasm for glass is unbeatable! Highly recommended!!!

What a great experience having this workshop at Fire Work glass studio. Debby was lovely and very professional and Izach was a very enthusiastic and clearly experienced glass artist. As someone who studied glass at college but not since, it was nice to reconnect and reminisce and I've got to come home with 3 lovely pieces of new glasswork. Izach was very patient despite my mistakes and it's perfect for complete novices as he'll ensure you take something quality home. Thank you so much
Alex

We had a great experience - really interesting and fun. Jin was superb, a fantastic teacher, and we came away with some lovely glasswork!

Fantastic glassblowing workshop with Izach and Debby. Both my friend and I had an excellent time, we made three pieces in the 2 hours we spent in the hot shop. Izach explained everything in detail to us both and we both have a new appreciation for the craft!

Mum and I had a fantastic time when attending the make your own glass experience, Izach was a brilliant teacher and very knowledgeable. We were amazed at the 3 pieces we were able to make, being complete novices. We were also sent photographs and videos, which along with the pieces we made, are a wonderful way to remember the day.
This was an amazing and unique experience which we would highly recommend everyone to have a go at.
Many thanks to Izach and Debby

Myself and a friend went for her birthday treat. We both really enjoyed the whole experience. By the end of our session we had made a paperweight and two bowls, all completely different colours. We were guided through every step of the way, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions. I would definitely recommend this workshop, and I'm hoping to come back and do another one with my husband in the next few months.

I booked the glass blowing experience as a Valentine’s present for my husband. Izach was a great teacher who gave us a fun new experience where we successfully made 3 items. The session was organised very well and Izach and Debby were both very friendly. We had a great time and I didn’t stop smiling. We will definitely be back!
