From Field to Fork, and it shows
I recently came back to Field & Flower after having used them before Covid, and I honestly wish I’d been able to afford to stay with them all those years ago.
For me, the biggest selling point is knowing where my meat comes from. There’s something reassuring about being able to trace it back to British farms and knowing that animal welfare is genuinely at the heart of the business. It isn’t mystery meat where you have no idea where the animal came from or how it was raised. The higher welfare standards and traceability are a huge part of why I’m happy to pay more.
And yes, Field & Flower costs more than supermarket meat. But you really do get what you pay for.
I’ve bought supermarket meatballs for £3-£4 and they’ve been absolutely fine. If that’s what you can afford, they do the job. But I’ve also bought Field & Flower meatballs for around £5.50, and the difference is ridiculous. They’re meatier, they taste better and they actually feel like proper meatballs. For an extra £1.50 or so, it’s honestly a no-brainer for me.
The same goes for the chicken, burgers and everything else I’ve tried. I grill my burgers and supermarket burgers can sometimes come out looking a bit sad and shrunken. Field & Flower burgers actually look like burgers when they’re cooked, and the taste is noticeably better.
I also really like that they have a value range. It makes the service much more accessible because you can still prioritise quality and welfare without every single item being premium-priced.
I’ve looked at quite a few higher-welfare meat companies and butchers online, and I actually think Field & Flower are very reasonably priced for the quality and standards they offer. You’re paying more than a supermarket, but you’re also paying for the care, sourcing, welfare and quality that goes into producing the meat. And you can taste the difference.
The website is really easy to use, setting up the subscription was straightforward and there’s plenty of flexibility with what you order. I haven’t needed to change my subscription yet, but from using the site I can’t imagine it being difficult.
Customer service has also been brilliant. Everyone I’ve dealt with has been friendly, polite and genuinely helpful. A special shout-out to Ellie, who reached out to welcome me back. It’s little touches like that which make a difference.
Delivery has been quick and reliable too. It’s via DPD, and we all know DPD can be a bit hit and miss depending on the driver and the area. But that’s ultimately outside Field & Flower’s control. Nine times out of ten, it’s absolutely fine, and when it is, the delivery is quick and convenient.
Would I recommend them? Absolutely. If you can afford to spend a little more on your meat, I genuinely think it’s worth it. We’ve become so used to mass-produced supermarket meat that we sometimes forget what properly sourced, high-welfare meat actually tastes like.
And when supermarket meat is getting more and more expensive anyway, the price difference between average supermarket meat and genuinely good-quality meat is becoming smaller.
For me, it’s Field & Flower all the way. You get what you pay for, and in this case, you can actually taste it.

I've just signed up for a fortnightly subscription after our first one-off box from Field & Flower.
My husband and I have been increasingly more disappointed by supermarket meat products, even from the higher end supermarkets.
After doing some research, I chose Field & Flower and ordered a box to "test" the quality. We were absolutely delighted by the quality and taste of all the products.
All of the products were exceptional but the steak was always going to be the deciding factor. It was the best steak we've had at home in years!
Overall, excellent in all areas and cost wise, it's saving us money because nothing is going to waste.
Highly recommend.

Great quality and service
I had been a customer of Field & Flower for many years. I really enjoyed the quality of the meat, my favourite is Beef Shin (as I love cooking it in different sauces). They have extended their range over time, also beyond the meat. Really great company who take their clients personally as individuals.

I have been a loyal customer for several years. Such amazing, high quality produce and I fully stand with their support for farmers, animal welfare and the land.
They have recently launched a range of ready meals and they kindly sent me the lasagne to try. It was absolutely delicious and we loved it. You could taste that the ingredients were fresh and amazing quality and the balance was perfect between the ragu, and béchamel. Well done!

Excellent quality products and brilliant customer service
We have been with the team since Covid when shopping was difficult and we have had no major issues and the products they supply are always top quality. We have had 2 minor issues but a quick call to the customer service team has always quickly resolved our problems and the staff are very friendly. I would highly recommend this company based on over 6 years of excellent service.

This is superb quality food
This is superb quality food, which comes from farmers working to provide sustainable and cruelty free real food. We have been fortunate to be able to order from F&F and feel confident in the husbandry of the animals . The supply of good meat and fish isn’t cheap of course, we eat less but better quality as far as we can. Customer service is prompt and helpful even when there has been occasional delivery issues with 3 rd party.

Best sausage rolls...ever!
My first box arrived as a gift from my sister (yes I have the best sister), following some recent health and medical tests.
I cannot fault any of the carefully selected items, which are all suitable for my restricted diet.
I have been a sausage roll fiend for over five decades, and the "bake at home" sausage rolls are the best I have ever tasted, by a country mile!
