Worst removal company I have ever used
I hired Fast Interior Removals to move a 3 bed house and regretted it. They used 'bait and switch' to hook me into an agreement.
They surveyed my house and said 4 hours should be enough, at most it may need an extra hour, and quoted me 4 hours at £480, with extra hours at £120, and stressed it should be completed 4 or 5 hours. This was using a van and doing 2 trips, which seemed strange, but I trusted them as they spoke like they know the job well, little did I suspect that yes they know it well and are using 'bait' techniques with a wholly misrepresented time scale that renders the quote totally misleading.
It is entirely false that this was clearly explained. It was classic obscure explanation, to bait the customer into accepting what looks like a good quote, but which is actually much worse value than any competitor. I had a quote from a company with excellent reviews for £680 Inc VAT. Fast Interior quoted me a misrepresented £480 (ex VAT which seems below). I ended up paying over £1300 to Fast Interior in the end. The most expensive quote was £980. It seemed like a scam to hook me in.
When the removal team arrived on the day, the first thing they did was laugh at my expectations that the job was going to be done in 4 hours. It actually took them 9 hours. I was shocked and felt totally violated and taken advantage of. From starting as the cheapest quote, they ended as the most expensive by a very wide margin.
The removal team also dented the walls in about 5 places, which I had to repair urgently. When told about it they did not care.
They also added VAT, although they did not make clear that the quote was excluding VAT initially, and I had to go back after they added it to discover it in the smallest print of one line buried at the bottom of the quote. They offered to remove the VAT if I paid cash, which I declined obviously, because it was illegal tax evasion.
The removal team took frequent religious prayer breaks and charged me for that too. They also said that it was also Ramadan fasting and they are working slower than usual, but didn't discount to allow for that.
Finally they dismantled a wardrobe for no reason, and took about an hour to put it back together. It was totally unnecessary and the company that moved it into the first house did so without dismantling it. Some stood around watching for nothing, which is also time charged to the customer. They did not even bother to ask if I wanted or agreed to dismantling it at great cost. The first I knew was when it was already in bits and I saw it on the van.
I would stay far away from this removal company. It was a terrible and expensive mistake giving them the job.

Firstly, at the time of booking, we provided a detailed quote for a 4-hour service with a 2-man or 3-man team, based on the information you provided and our pre-move assessment. It was clearly explained – both in writing and during our communications – that any time beyond the initial 4 hours would incur additional charges, which you acknowledged and agreed to prior to the move.
On the moving day, our team worked diligently and professionally to complete the job, which involved two full van loads with heavy and bulky items. Due to the volume and logistics, the move took longer than estimated – 9 hours in total – and the appropriate charges for the extra time were applied, in line with the agreement you accepted before the job began.
Regarding the VAT, we are a VAT-registered company, and this is clearly stated in our quote, terms and conditions, and invoice. VAT is always applicable regardless of the method of payment, and we fully adhere to HMRC regulations. If any confusion arose, we regret that, but we assure you it was not hidden or intentionally unclear.
As for the claim of property damage, we were not made aware of any issues on the day of the move or at the time of completion. Our movers strive to treat every home with care and respect, and we take any claims of damage seriously. If damage had been reported during or immediately after the move, we would have investigated and addressed it promptly.
Finally, while our team may observe short breaks during a long and physically demanding shift, this is standard practice and was factored into the job’s total time. Our crew worked consistently and did their best to complete the move as efficiently as possible under the circumstances.
We’re truly sorry that you left the experience feeling disappointed. Our aim is always to provide honest, transparent, and high-quality service. We welcome all feedback and will continue striving to improve wherever we can.

We acknowledge that you booked the move on the same day, and we greatly appreciate your trust in our service. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected van breakdown, we were delayed. We contacted the RAC for recovery, which had an estimated 4-hour wait time. After the breakdown, we attempted to notify you of the situation, and we regret that this may have led to further confusion.
At times, unforeseen circumstances such as mechanical failures, van breakdowns, and busy schedules can place us in challenging situations. In this instance, due to the breakdown and the high demand on our schedule, there were no available vans in the surrounding area to step in and cover your move. We understand how stressful and frustrating this must have been for you, and we are very sorry for the disruption caused.
After clearer communication with you, we understand that you were unable to wait for the driver, and as per your instructions, the move was canceled. We have processed a full refund of your deposit as a gesture of goodwill and as an apology for this situation.
We deeply regret the inconvenience this has caused and thank you for your patience and understanding.
Absolute con men
Absolute con men. Don’t go anywhere near this company!! They sell you a removal package but the guys that turn up work for different people. They will add more money to your agreement and quote their flimsy TNCs. The con men are Umar khawar and Fiysil. They held on to my elderly 86 year father’s possessions and would not release without a further £2500. Had already paid the £3k!! Through no fault of ours, There was a delay to my completion on the day so they doubled the price. They were very hostile and intimidating with no care whatsoever to our situation. Only interested in more money. They were quoting £4000 extra charge.
Have reported them to Trading Standards and will next approach Rogue Traders. Please don’t be fooled by them.
I paid for the overnight stay in Devon for the two guys due to the delay. They charged me twice to unload my items and locked the van until I paid. They are only interested in more money. Read other reviews of same tactics.

To provide some context regarding your move:
Our team was scheduled to assist with your relocation from London to Exeter. After successfully loading the van, our team traveled over 200 miles to Exeter in preparation for the next stage of your move. Unfortunately, there was a delay in the completion of the sale, meaning our team was unable to unload on the initially planned day. This unexpected delay caused our team to wait for an additional day to allow for access to the property keys, which necessitated an overnight stay in a hotel to accommodate the logistics of the move.
According to our terms and conditions, additional costs are applied to accommodate these unforeseen delays and the costs associated with maintaining our staff and vehicles during this extra time on the road. These costs are not levied with the intention of taking advantage of our customers but are necessary to manage factors that are out of our direct control, such as delays in property access and the scheduling of staff and fleet resources.
We are proud to confirm that all goods were delivered safely and securely, as promised, after being on the road for three days. While we acknowledge that delays are frustrating, they were unforeseen and beyond our initial control. We apologize if this caused added stress during an already challenging time.

Avoid, very slow work will cost you fortune
Their teams do everything extremely slow to ensure you will be charged a fortune as their rate not by completion of work it’s hourly. It took them 3 hours to take down ikea pax and put it back up partially! Planning to complain to Financial ombudsman as it is a complete rip off.
