Mr Steven Harsum, Eye Surgery Ltd Arvostelua 

I have had 2 cataract operations plus laser treatment to clear cloudy vision all the treatment was first class would recommend Mr Harsum.

Both cataract eye procedures were handled sensitively and professionally. I have very good distance vision and the Operations were a complete success

Apprehensive is probably an understatement to describe how I felt about anyone approaching my eyes with sharp tools. However Mr Harsum's calm reassurance settled me down so that I too was calm for the first operation. After that the second eye was a breeze and we talked scuba throughout the procedure. I followed all the post-op instructions to the letter and my eyesight is transformed giving me the vision that I defined at the beginning.
I think Mr Harsum and his staff did a terrific job and have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

I cannot recommend Mr Steven Harsum enough, excellent treatment and a very nice man. I am absolutely delighted with my 'new' eyes. His secretary Katherine Gillan was fantastic too, finding me appointments and keeping in touch through the Covid 19 lockdown, which happened just after I had my first eye done. If you need lens replacement, don't go to anyone else!!!!

Mr. Harsum is one of the best, if not the best consultant I have had to deal with in my 71 years. He handled my case with a great deal of patience and pragmatism. I am extremely nervous about my eyes, we had to deal with a pandemic in the country and my issues increased as I went from needing one cataract done to needing both doing at the same time. For clarity, the delays were not down to Mr. Harsum, but medical delays for operations at the hospitals.

He and his team, patiently guided me through the whole process, resulting ending up with my operation under General Anaesthetic at St. Helier hospital. The amount of discomfort was minimal, no great trauma or pain, completely different to what I had expected. All my fears were simply wrong, this went just as Mr. Harsum suggested it would.

The end result is I now have the equivalent of 21/20 vision, so good, even my optician was surprised how well I can now see. It has made a huge difference to me, especially given I had very poor eyesight and a complicated astigmatism for over 60 years. I now only need glasses for reading and, although not essential, I have a new prescription pair only for use when playing golf. It is not too much to say this has been a life changing experience, because that is how successful it has been for me!

SH operated to remove a cataract from each eye. Excellent throughout. Especially grateful for explaining what was happening during each procedure. Very reassuring and comforting. Top class
