Don't expect speedy refund if cancelled
We were scheduled for a National Geographic Expeditions cruise from Dublin through the Scottish Islands to Norway from April 19 to 24, 2022. Lindblad informed us the cruise had been cancelled because of COVID concerns on February 22, 2022. We asked for a refund of the tour costs ($20,000+). Although we have been told it is forthcoming, it is now April 12, 47 days later, and in spite of calls and e-mails to the company, that amount has yet to be refunded to our credit card. The excuse they offered in one e-mail was that "due to the volume of similar requests, the size of our accounting team, and that this process must be done manually, it can take up to 45 days to show up on your statement." What a poor way to run a company.
