I’ve had a truly wonderful experience with Exotic India. The statues are not only beautifully crafted but also carry a special presence and spiritual feel. Each piece is detailed and feels even more meaningful in person. Their customer service is kind and supportive, with regular updates and smooth, timely delivery. I also love that they offer customised statues, which makes it even more personal. I’m very satisfied and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for meaningful, high-quality pieces.

Took a little long to receive my product (a little over a month) but once I received it I was really happy. Had a Mysore wood inlay portrait made of The Last Supper, and it was beautiful. Felt like a good quality piece of work, so really appreciate the artisans. Appreciated the responsiveness of the customer support (had a little trouble reaching the agent on the phone but eventually got a hold of them + more responses via email).

Ordered 2 books. I live in South Africa. Shipping method was changed from courier to India Post. Till date, I await delivery of package. This company is not serious about customer satisfaction. I regret my purchase. Their representative is as useless. It is the suppliers responsibility to ensure that the product reaches the customer! Shocking service. Be warned!

I cannot recommend at all!

I was a customer for many years and in the past service and quality was good, but that changed.

They did not dispatch one painting and said they had to give it for repair. I wanted the money back and had to chase for 15 days, they did not even return the full amount! 50 CHF missing.

They showed me the painting after ‚repair‘ and it was completely different. Even after I showed them the differences in the two paintings (the necklace we’re looking totally different) they insist it is the same.

It’s not genuine business practise and service is no good.

I will not order anything in future. It’s sad how such great place completely changed.

I ordered a book from Exotic India . I didn’t expect this much poor service from them I paid full amount with delivery charges even after 13 days they didn’t shipped. even the day they announced to deliver, they didn’t even shipped !!! No idea they will send me the book or not. In this modern age this is never acceptable 😡

The Order is not exactly as shown, please be ware of ordering as return process is very bad and you have to end up paying of return even though the product is damaged broken not exactly as mentioned. You have to get frustrated to the core and end up loosing more and more money but they will never return.

Recently I bought Ganesha wood statue from exotic india. Upon delivery I found the statue was cracked on top and it was packed before the painting was completely dry. I messaged the customer care team two weeks back. Still no action taken. Quality checking by the seller found very poor before they deliver the item to customers. Especially during festival season or year end sales.

I bought a rare book from this shop, the customer service and support was incredible. I highly recommend this shop I will definately be back.

My work is waiting for books

I've been a customer for 20 years, and the service and products have been excellent. Recently I bought a shawl.. one of many I've purchased over the years. It was not the fabric they advertised (wool), nor the weave. I've contacted them in several ways and received no response. In the past I've found this company to be really efficient and friendly but it seems things have changed. I won't be buying from Exotic India again.

Customer service is excellent! I received the shipment in a timely fashion and I am extremely grateful at how well everything was packaged. This is important because of the winter weather and lots of snow around where I live. The books arrived in great condition. Thank you!

I had a very disappointing experience ordering from Exotic India.

I placed an order for books that I couldn’t find elsewhere, paid in full, and then heard nothing afterward. I did not receive a proper delivery confirmation, no tracking number, and no clear receipt showing shipment details. The order never arrived.

I tried to contact the seller multiple times to ask about my delivery status, but there was no response at all. No updates, no explanation, and no effort to resolve the issue. As a customer, this felt extremely unprofessional and frustrating.

Because of this, I completely wasted both my money and my time. I had initially trusted this seller and even recommended it to others, which I now regret. A reliable seller should always provide tracking information and customer support, especially after taking payment.

Based on my experience, I do not recommend Exotic India. Please be careful before ordering, as there was no communication, no transparency, and no delivery in my case. This has been a very poor and disappointing experience.

I ordered a Kaal Bhairava pendant from Exotic India (Order ID EXO-2550472) on 11th November, expecting a smooth and meaningful experience. According to their Terms & Conditions, orders are processed within 2–3 business days, but mine was only shipped on 28th November, with no updates or explanations. From the day I placed the order until I finally collected it on 6th December, it took 25 days, which was far longer than expected.

When the pendant arrived in Sri Lanka, I was surprised to learn that I had to pay $45.63 USD to the courier company. Exotic India never informed me about this in advance, and never before have I had to pay more than the fee upfront to the seller. Finding out at the door after already paying for the pendant in full was extremely frustrating.

Because the pendant is a sacred Kaal Bhairava item, I also asked if it could be blessed before shipping. Their reply came days later and included an optional $35 USD fee for the blessing. I chose not to pay, as blessings are a spiritual practice and should not be treated as an extra paid service. I’ve purchased sacred items before - such as the Gohonzon Mandala from Japan, and other spiritual items from Tibet, Nepal, etc. and the blessings or spiritual rituals were always included as part of the tradition, never something to be charged separately.

I also had concerns about their insurance process. While the pendant is supposedly insured, responsibility is placed on the customer until an investigation is complete, which doesn’t feel safe for high-value or sacred items.

Shipping from India to Sri Lanka also took much longer than items I’ve ordered from US-based sellers on Etsy or eBay, which typically arrive faster. In the end, I had to collect the pendant myself from the courier company, adding to the overall stress of the experience.

The pendant itself may be beautiful, but the combination of delayed shipping, poor communication, unexpected charges, and additional fees made this process frustrating and disappointing. I sincerely hope that the artisans who create these sacred pieces are paid at least as much as Exotic India earns from their work.

Based on my experience, I do not recommend Exotic India.
