I was ordering a Belstaff jacket and l wasn't sure what size to get so I contacted the customer service department who advised me to choose a medium,which I'm pleased to say fits perfectly. As I only ordered it late on Tuesday I was pleasantly surprised to receive it on Thursday morning.The item was very well packed and after such a positive experience I will defo be ordering from these guys from now on.

Love this store in Bangor, beautifully laid out, plenty of stock to choose from and the staff are very pleasant and attentive. I always frequent Excel as it’s the best for choice and the customer service is exceptional, with both Niki and Paul going over and above to help with sizing and outfit ideas. I would highly recommend a visit if you haven’t already checked it out!

BEWARE! Items Don’t arrive & Aggressive staff

Read all the other negative reviews - Constantly advertising stock they don’t have, then not being available after they’ve taken your money. You add other items to complete a larger order (to obtain free postage), but the main item is not available.
Didn’t answer 2 emails. I’ll now have to take them to court, what a hassle. Been reported to Google. So …Beware of this lot.
I even have 3 different reasons why I didn’t receive my main (well priced) item. Proof if it were needed they’re fraudsters… they lie. Think about it, openly lying to customers.
Aggressive email responses too. My belief is they’ll soon be insolvent.
AVOID AVOID AVOID …at all costs. Don’t be tricked like so many others were. You’ve been warned.

1) Here they state “the item didn’t meet quality standards”. The reason for failing to supply keeps on changing! Of course at first it was coming, then there was no reply, second no reply, third a scribbled note stating “it’s not in stock”. Now it’s “failed quality standards”….. You can decide which one is true, I have no idea now.
2) They state I was “abusive”. Of course, yet another lie. I stated that my items hadn’t arrived. No response. I wrote again. No response. The third time I said I expected a full refund or I would (correctly) exercise my rights under Law. Purely factual and 100% polite … but once again they lie, trying to tell the world I am “abusive”.
When customers exercise their clear, standard, legal right simply to receive what they ordered this is not “abuse” …indeed when they point out it hasn’t arrived, it’s standard commercial activity to assist a customer. It’s a legally binding, straightforward (business) sales contract. The defensive attitude, falsehoods, and now harassment tell their own story. And of course, no apology for all their mistakes.
They then suggest they’ve “been to the Law Society”, and in just 3 hours had a detailed response about their members! Of course that’s another lie, they don’t hand that information out (GDPR et al). Nor are they bright enough to realise the difference between Barristers and Solicitors… or that some Lawyers qualify in the US and use their skills across the world. Such Lawyers don’t appear online on a private UK list even if it were published! More fiction from Excel. Besides, your Credit Card Company handles a75 claim for you anyway.
Finally, their emails all refer to “delays due to Covid.!!”… I agree, a very reasonable excuse, but that issue was 2 years ago… TWO YEARS AGO !! Clearly zero attention to detail, or just another excuse?
So there we have it, three more examples of fact, but the opposite stated here, and all with incontrovertible evidence.
“We will reply within 24 hours”, but never do …Items in Stock?… Items on their way? …. Items now lost? Items now not in stock? ….Items now failed to meet quality controls? You decide which one of those it might be. Point is, I’m certainly not alone. Quick to take your money, they even “expect bad reviews” afterwards. Classic.
Does Bill, their MD, know this is how they treat customers? A review of Companies house reveals more bad news. A tiny company, making no real money, various worrying formal papers filed too.
AVOID AVOID AVOID.
Even now as you can see, they remain rather aggressive; they constantly don’t tell the truth (as shown here), and a quick review of the negative reviews reveal a pattern. It’s illegal to offer “loss leaders” in the UK and make profits elsewhere on either items - Trading Standards clamp down hard on things like that.
A decent company would have just apologised for wasting your time and sent a prepaid package for return of all the other items if you don’t want them. Not here. No apology, just ignored, then excuses and a complicated returns process that will cost me time & money, then finally open aggression when you report the truth of what happened.
PS. Wonder if they’ll blame “Covid 19” for their many different answers too…?

I ordered three items that were showing in stock on the website. They did not arrive and I called to find out what was happening. I was told they were all out of stock. Nobody had bothered to let me know and the person I spoke to blamed on on the computer system. A very disappointing experience and I will not be ordering anything from Excel Clothing again.

I rang this company yesterday as needed a garment on next day delivery and I was placing my order at 4pm but their NDD cut off is at 2pm. Spoke with Paul who said he would try and get out to me even though I was ordering at 4pm. I just received item and would like to give a special thanks to Paul for his excellent service.

Would have put no stars but it wouldn't let me. Ordered a belstaff shirt with a delivery date of 1to 3 days with a hiked up delivery charge. 5 days later it still hasn't arrived and I'm going on holiday today . No one will be in to receive it . Disappointing didn't come into it

I ordered a Barbour jacket and called to check that the order had been received as I had a problem with my PC and wasn't sure it had gone through. Customer service were extremely helpful and gave me an accurate estimated arrival date. It arrived a week later in perfect condition, very carefully packed and with a Barbour hanger. Great service.

One disadvantage unfortunately this store does not support Blue Light card holders or student discount both of which would encourage myself and I am sure others to shop here, and, would additionally increase revenue for the store.
