I booked weeks in advance a dwarf…
I booked weeks in advance a dwarf stripper/builder at 7pm on 13.6/26 Was informed the stripper would contact us 1 hour before to arrange what we wanted in the act. I received a txt message saying the comp has been trying to contact us, to inform us the stripper had gone off sick, and they had another stripper but it would be at 22.45!!! I immediately tried to contact the company, and guess what automated reply only.
I agreed to the time as I did not want to loose the deposit. 22.45 comes, stripper sitting outside in his flash car informed me I need the money before I go in the house. No attempts to discuss what we wanted to happen. 10 min performance for £240!!!! Last 10 minutes he sat talking to us having drink of water. All the stripper wanted to do was straddle bride to be and act like a 2 second bunny rabbit.
I contacted company, complained and was basically informed I was not getting any money back as it's down to the person who does the act.
Absolutely shocking company to deal with STAY CLEAR AWAY, not interested in what you have to complain off... AVOID AVOID AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

Hi Joeann Mcarthur
We are sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your experience.
From what you have written, it appears the original entertainer became unavailable due to illness, which unfortunately can happen at short notice. We do handle around 90–150 bookings each weekend with around a 97% attendance rate, and when cancellations happen, we always do our best to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible which could only be at the later time.
Regarding the show, each performance is tailored by the individual entertainer, and while performance styles and timings can vary, we are sorry that the act was not to your satisfaction and did not meet your expectations.
We do take feedback seriously and would welcome the chance to look into this further with you directly.
Please contact us at info@evengo.co.uk.

Ordered a Dwarf entertainer for a very…
Ordered a Dwarf entertainer for a very specific reason. Got told on the morning of the booking date that she was no longer available and offered a regular stripper (not what we were after at all).
Tried to comunicate via e-mail to solve the issue, but sensed that it was either take this entertainer or loose the deposit. The lady at customer service didnt seem to really be bothered that they had let us down last minute and was a very poor (and contradiciting) reason why our original entertainer cancelled.
Felt very ripped off and let down by this company and wouldn't trust them again.

Hi Adam,
We’re sorry to read that you felt let down, especially as you had booked a very specific entertainer and were told on the morning of the booking that she was no longer available. While every effort is made to secure the selected entertainer, unforeseen illnesses can unfortunately affect availability at short notice.
We appreciate that being offered a different act was not what you originally wanted, and we’re sorry if the communication made you feel pressured or unheard. That is not how we want customers to feel.
We’re sorry your experience was not 5 stars with us.

SCAM - CANCELLED, NO REFUND, FAKE REVIEWS
Cancelled 2 days before for a generic list of “reasons” as below:
“This is due major disruptions in the area due to the following
- COVID
- Illness
- Acts/entertainers no longer available
- Major Travel issues”
Promised a full refund but 2 weeks on still no reply or refund. The refund details in the cancellation email are dubious to say the least:
“ We will process this within 2-3 days once we receive your bank details.
Why refund via bank? Otherwise refunding via card take a lot longer to reach you.”
All screams scam. Not the first to experience this by the looks of it either.
2 stars on trustpilot yet on their website they link “reviews.io” where conveniently they’re 4.9/5 and there’s absolutely no way of leaving a review on there.
All a complete SCAM.

Hi Al
Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with us please read below.
First, we completely refute that we are a scam. We are handling around 50–150 bookings a week, and as of May 2026, around 95% of bookings go ahead successfully. That said, we are not perfect, and we admit we occasionally get things wrong.
Cancellations are rare, but when they do happen, the most common reasons are illness, major travel disruption, or entertainers no longer being available. In some rural areas, we experience higher cancellation rates due to the limited availability of entertainers, and where we cannot find a suitable replacement, we have to cancel rather than send someone unsuitable.
We also understand your concern around the wording in the cancellation email. It is never our intention for communication to feel unclear or concerning, and we will review how this is worded going forward.
We are sorry that your experience has left you feeling this way, and we would like the opportunity to look into this properly and resolve the matter directly with you.
Please contact us so we can assist further.

We want to be absolutely clear that we are not a scam. On the occasions where bookings are cancelled, this is usually due to entertainer illness or limited availability in certain areas. In some rural areas, we experience higher cancellation rates due to the limited availability of entertainers, and unfortunately we are not always able to arrange a replacement.
We are not perfect, and we admit we occasionally get things wrong. We are also sorry if your emails were not responded to as quickly as expected, as this is not the standard of service we aim to provide.

Don’t trust, felt like a scam, don’t give them 90 quid
Was sceptical reading the reviews as the poor ones read like they’re real and the good ones, they’re non sensical on repeat. Went for it anyways but turns out the 1 star and suggestion of being a scam appears to be true.
Cancelled the night before, still shown availability on the website and told to ignore that and not to book another so assuming others might book the same thing with zero availability in reality. Looks like racking up the 90 quid deposits from as many people as possible instead of showing true availability might pay well.
Got sent to a link where you can’t cancel, have the option of two other things very different to what was originally booked. Selected one so could immediately cancel on the site and did so within a few minutes. I’ve now been in dispute to get the deposit refunded which isn’t forthcoming as they’re trying to say it was a new booking - all 60 seconds of it after they cancelled what I’d requested. Credit card dispute it is then… All of it looks like it’s set up to offer items which aren’t available and then trick into keeping a deposit. Highly suspicious, customer support not interested in helping or using common sense, goes round in circles and wouldn’t recommend from current experience. Book at your own risk, multiple reviews same as this.

Hi Matt,
We’re sorry to read this and understand why a cancellation so close to the booking would be frustrating. We absolutely refute any suggestion that we are a scam.
When a booking cannot go ahead, we give customers a clear choice: either cancel the booking, or accept a replacement booking. If a replacement booking is chosen, the original booking terms carry over to that replacement. If the booking is cancelled instead, the deposit is refunded. It is very simple, and we’re sorry if this was not made clear enough at the time.
We handle around 90–150 bookings each weekend with around a 97% attendance rate. We are not perfect, and we admit we occasionally get things wrong. In some rural areas, we experience higher cancellation rates due to the limited availability of entertainers, and in the small number of cases where we cannot replace an entertainer, we know this is disappointing.
We would like to look into what happened here properly and clarify the booking history, including the replacement option selected and the cancellation that followed. Please contact us directly so we can review this fully.

This is a scam company
This is a scam company operating under the website name of EVENGO. You can't talk to anyone or get a reply from anyone (watch the non-specific replies to the other negative reviews against this company). The cancellation of my booking (central London) was on the day and "due to sickness" (check out this common excuse on other reviews).
That was on the 17th April and now in May - and despite multiple, unanswered emails - I still haven't been refunded my £90 deposit so have raised a fraud case with my bank.

Hi Danielle,
We’re sorry to read your comments and that you felt the service was unprofessional. We are not perfect, and we admit we occasionally get things wrong.
We also want to address your comment that “the dwarf stripper on the site is made up.” That is not the case. The entertainers shown on our website represent real services we offer; however, availability can vary depending on location, date, and individual entertainer circumstances. While every effort is made to book the chosen entertainer or act, unforeseen illnesses or availability issues can occasionally impact who is able to attend, and in those situations we do our best to provide a suitable alternative.
We would like the opportunity to look into this properly, but as we cannot identify you from this review, please contact us directly so we can investigate what happened.

had a really disappointing experience…
had a really disappointing experience with Evengo. They cancelled our entertainment booking just one day before the event, which left us scrambling to find a last-minute replacement. What made it even worse was the complete lack of communication — they were impossible to reach. They didn’t answer phone calls, and emails went unanswered as well.
This level of unreliability and poor customer service is unacceptable, especially when you’re trusting a company with an important event. I would not recommend Evengo to anyone looking for dependable service.
