Red Magic Arvostelua 5

Bought a RedMagic Astra Gaming Tablet.
Fast CPU, good display with good visibility, good look & feel... however I was unlucky and dropped it once after about 2 weeks of use. Immediately the display cracked at an edge, whole display stopped working.

My fault being clumsy - though other tablets I had survived worse. Maybe just bad luck, but anyway here my issues started:
Trying to get it repaired, that's impossible: Despite respective EU Law regulations, RedMagic refuses to provide spare parts to repair shops.
While usually displays cost a little beyond the hundred euro mark, for this device the price which basically matches that of a new device... and these devices are really high priced! It would need shipment for the factory too, which takes a while, and I'd not even know if I'd get it back and if it can be repaired or not.

Gave up at this point, which ended me with a couple hundred euro worth of trash at home.

Bought a Samsung A9 lite instead. Nearly as fast, mobile internet too, half the price. Very happy.

Do not trust this company. They sell expensive products with decent hardware but the software and patching is terrible. They sold the tablet Astra and ABANDONED it. No Android 16 yet, updates once in a blue moon. Just terrible.

If a €999 smartphone already develops a faulty touchscreen less than three months after purchase — after the first drop, despite using a Nubia case and screen protector — I would have expected a far more customer-friendly response from the manufacturer. The repair is carried out in the Czech Republic, phone support runs through Hong Kong, and all communication takes place exclusively in English. I received roughly one reply per day, which was very inconvenient for me.

In my experience, part of the support seems to rely on automated responses, and my review on judge.me — the platform Nubia themselves link to for product reviews — has not been published so far. Overall, I had the impression that customer service mainly works with standardized text modules and responds very little to my specific issue.

Based on this experience, I unfortunately cannot recommend the service.
Even after multiple requests and pointing out the legal basis, the shop still refuses to issue an invoice compliant with European law, including VAT and a tax number.

BEWARE this company is a CHEATER!
Ordered and payed at the 2nd of September 2025 for € 768,- goods at the EU online shop of this "company".
Got no goods until today, no tracking code, no shipping information.
When contacting the support, just one reassuring email after another. I reported this "company" already to the police in Austria/EU and Amazon.

They sent me paralyzed handsfree just the right side is working after exchange of too many emails they said we offer u 50% percent refund, it's almost 2 month i did not receive any refund, ik really disappointed
