Disappointed service
Have used Eric Robinson in bittern for quite a few years for legal purposes. I needed to sale my house. But my situation was more involved due my son owing half of the house, the declined their involvement. And that took two weeks for their correspondent.
I then contacted Eric Robinson in hedge end spoke to a solicitor she that would not be a problem. She agreed to phone to start the process. Only received a phone call after I raised my frustration.

The solicitor was very helpful
The solicitor was very helpful, competent and very easy to contact. She answered my questions and was always very prompt with her work - buying and selling a property is not a quick business but I never felt that I was being held up at our end. I was very pleased. I have used Eric Robinson before and I would certainly use then again.

Safe hands through a stressful life event
We were purchasing a property from an elderly couple and found that information was difficult to obtain. Our Eric Robinson Solicitor, Sylvia was excellent at communicating and managed to obtain information to solve the problems we came across.

A Curates Egg
Contracted with Eric Robinson for probate work through their Lymington Office and conveyancing work through their Hedge End Office. The former was excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend them. The latter was very disappointing. Communication was poor to non existent. I am not entirely sure why but I got the impression staff were rarely in the office and that they were probably also understaffed even though they were keen to bid for the work. They urgently need to agree some form of working protocol with their clients to manage expectations. Overall the lack of communication made the whole process far more stressful than I should have been. Would certainly never use them again and cannot recommend.

We are are disappointed to receive your review about our Conveyancing Service as we place great importance on client service and are proud to have 100s of 5* reviews. However, we note that you personally did not instruct this firm and were not our client in respect of this transaction.
Further, we do provide a robust complaints procedure which provides opportunity to address concerns raised and, where necessary, provide a solution. We note that our client has not raised any concern and has not engaged in this process.
Having read your review and spoken with the case handler acting, we do not agree that your review fairly reflects the facts. In any case, we are sorry that our service did not meet with your approval and reiterate that we do have a complaints procedure which a client can use, and which can be found on our website.

As you will know, we also provide a robust complaints procedure which again provides opportunity to address concerns raised and, where necessary, provide a solution. We note that you engaged with our complaints procedure and that you did not agree with our conclusion that service levels did not fall below a reasonable standard. A comprehensive review of your complaint was conducted, and our reply did not report any findings that service levels fell below a reasonable standard. In fact, the charge raised covering 1.3 hours was within the 1.5 hours quoted as the 30 minutes spent reading and understanding the position (prep time) was not charged for. We are however sorry that our service was not what you had hoped for. We do set out to provide an excellent service and usually this is achieved as demonstrated by the positive feedback left by the vast majority of our clients.
