Education with a sense of family ,faith and no compromises …
My son has a bit of a problem with concentration in subjects he is not to interested in. Though with some encouragement and help he gets his school work completed. The staff always go above and beyond for my student. No matter what the circumstances Enlightium is always asking what they can do to assist. As a parent so much weight has been lifted off my shoulders and so much support has been given to my child.

Christian aspect is great but needs streamlining …
The people and their love for the Lord make Enlightium great. Also being able to choose the level of help required is nice. However, the curriculum is heavy on reading. VERY heavy and huge chunks of information are covered at a time with seemingly no rhyme or reason. There is also a STEEP learning curve when getting started. The information for parents and students could definitely be streamlined.

Training video would not load for me…
Training video would not load for me and the supplemental training was piece mailed and confusing. Some teachers assign entirely too much testing. Lots of glitches in the system of which they say it never happens to anyone else, makes me feel very special!

Since we partner with BJU for curriculum, we don’t have direct control over their videos, but we do work closely with their support team and would be happy to assist in connecting you with the right resources. If you could share more specifics with your student’s counselor about the training that was difficult to access, we’d love to help clarify any confusion.
Regarding the testing concerns, there are no individual teachers assigning tests in BJU courses, as it is a homeschool program. However, it sounds like the curriculum may have felt test-heavy, and we’d appreciate any additional insights so we can better support families navigating the coursework.
We completely understand how frustrating system glitches can be, especially when they seem to be an isolated issue. If you're still experiencing technical challenges, we highly encourage reaching out to your counselor coordinator to set up a Zoom screen-share session. I'm revising my review to 3 stars because EA took my feedback seriously. Our experience was outstanding from grades 1-4, but their behavior at the start of grade 5 was unacceptable. Given our extremes of satisfaction (5-star) and disappointment (1-star), I'm settling on 3 stars as a middle ground.

This is pure nightmare & dishonesty
This is pure nightmare & dishonesty! My special needs child will not have high school diploma because of this so called online school. He worked hard & then we got behind in payment! Couldn’t log on ! Major weirdness!
Now I have collection agency contacting me! My child was denied the ability to do his school work because I missed monthly payment. We are back in public school now.
They wouldn’t give us his report cards or give him credits. This is not a true Christian school!

Our goal is always to provide the best support possible, and as a tuition-based school, we do not receive financial support other than what we collect for providing educational services. While we strive to accommodate every student's needs and the unique circumstances that can occur in life, we are required to collect tuition to continue to provide these services. Our intent was never to cause frustration, and we appreciate the opportunity to learn from your experience.
In light of the situation, please reference the prior email from our Head of School Mr. Mead in September of 2024. That email provides the details behind the decision and clarifies that we have been able to waive the withdrawal fee for your student, only charging for the services rendered. As five months have passed and we have not collected a significant portion of the tuition balance due for your student, the collections process has been initiated on your account. We have sent multiple emails, texts, and physical letters in an attempt to remedy this situation, but have not heard back from you. Our billing department remains available to discuss this with you at your convenience at billing@enlightiumacademy.com.
We wish you and your student the best moving forward and pray that your student's current school aligns more closely with your expectations.

Enlightium Academy is Truly a Blessing!
Enlightium Academy has truly been a blessing for my daughter over the past two years. She struggled in the public school system and lacked motivation to succeed academically. However, since joining Enlightium, she has transformed into a straight-A student and will graduate with honors in 2025. I couldn’t be prouder of her accomplishments.
Enlightium offers one of the best online curriculums I’ve encountered. It’s a high-quality, focused program that equips students with the skills they need to thrive after high school. Additionally, the academy provides a sincere and biblically centered education, presenting scripture in a way that is easy for my daughter to understand and apply. This combination of academic excellence and spiritual growth has been invaluable.
The staff at Enlightium is exceptional—always responsive and helpful, whether via email or phone. I want to extend my gratitude for their dedication to ensuring students have a positive and enriching educational experience. Good Environment but Mid aftertake
Enlightium Academy does have a Christian Environment very respectful and understanding but the lack of substitute response time to questions makes it hard to catch up on coursework and focus on IRL. Especially with project stress (projects are more important than the tests) it might be better to just stick with Public Education unless your REALLY good at memorization and writing notes and posting said screenshots with docs to a writers box via ignitia alot of the courses within enlightium academy have vocab start questions which after a point can be time consuming once reaching 10-12th Grade. Also there isn't a Senior extension for students so when the date comes its over and absentee documents wont even help shit with that. So keep that in mind if you go to enlightium don't expect to have more time on your hands if you have part time jobs and stuff its strict

Toward the end of the semester, especially during the holiday season, grading can be delayed due to the influx of projects and assignments being submitted. However, teachers do their best to prioritize scaffolding lessons to ensure students can continue progressing without unnecessary delays. It’s worth noting that students typically have access to their projects as soon as they open a unit, providing them with a month or more to work on it alongside their other coursework. This timeline is designed to help manage the workload and reduce stress. Regarding vocabulary assignments, we understand they can be time-consuming, but teachers generally agree that they are a critical part of the curriculum. Vocabulary helps students grasp key terms and concepts within their lessons, which is especially important for effective reading and comprehension. Additionally, keeping the course formatting consistent across subjects aims to make navigation and expectations more straightforward for students.
Your insight about the skills needed to succeed in an online program like Enlightium—organization, memorization, and note-taking—is correct. These are areas where the Enlightium team aims to support students more comprehensively through targeted training and resources, aligned with our Expected Student Outcomes. By developing these skills, we strive to prepare students not just academically but also for real-world challenges. We would love to look into this more for you. Billing Issues
Two and a half years after we elected NOT to enroll my children in Enlightium, I was billed 1700+ dollars for coursework we did not recieve or do, or enroll in, and they threatened to take it to collections. Be very cautious in considering Enlightium. Do not give them your information unless you are certain about proceeding.
