Energymyway Arvostelua 

We had our solar panels installed in November 2021 by energymyway. In January we started looking at sourcing a battery for storing the electricity and asked Jeff Clarke from energymyway for his help. He always took a long time to respond and, on most occasions, I had to chase him.

We eventually decided to go to another company, Artisan Electrics, who came in and surveyed the work that was done and advised which battery we should install. When they came to install the battery, they discovered that of the 3 distribution boards that energymyway had put in only one was connected the other two weren't. Also the optimisers on the panels had not been mapped out. This meant that all the data we had been collecting for nearly a year was incorrect. Artisan Electrics then took a video of what energymyway had done as proof of their incompetence and connected the boards for us.

I then phoned Jeff Clarke and asked him to speak to Artisan Electrics who explained the situation. Jeff Clarke said that he would phone and apologise to Tim our owner but he never did. I then emailed Jeff and asked him if he there was any compensation that we could claim from his company as this has had a negative effect all round. He completely ignored my email and has never apologised to Tim.

I would not recommend this company. They are unprofessional and not willing to take responsibility for their mistakes. We paid 32k for these panels and have received a very poor service especially after the installation. They were very willing before and during but their aftercare is non-existent. As it is, we now have to get Artisan electrics to rectify their shoddy installation.

If you want to be ripped off then use energymyway. They won’t respond to your emails or take your calls but they’ll take your money. A bunch of cowboys!

I can confirm that we were compensated for this and the issues resolved.

Basically, when having solar installed, you're looking for a company that you can trust, is MCS and HEIS certified, isn't going bust any time soon, and offers a good price for the system that is right for you. EnergyMyWay fitted the bill for us. The South East region is run by Jamie. He's been running this region for over 10 years, is very friendly and gives excellent after sales support. He is knowledgeable and not at all pushy. I liked the company because they had the full range of certifications and came up with a reasonable price for a system that suited us. They are a franchise operation, so the experiences will perhaps vary around the country; but I have no hesitation of recommending Jamie if you live in Kent. The installers used are contracted; but very capable.

Made enquiries for air source heat pump, was given ball park figures 11 to 14k for 16kw Nibe system (their preferred choice )and told needed heat calcs that had to be paid 300 pounds in advance, calcs were carried out, they then increased cost to 15600 for a smaller 14kw mitsubushi system . They don’t seem to know the difference between zero vat and plus vat. Also enquired for solar etc . Never got costs .
These are franchises with this being run singlely by Joe from a call centre with seemingly limited knowledge.
Don’t pay any monies until you are sure what you are paying for!

During some building works for a loft extension, I needed to work out if I should/ could be relocating some of my existing solar panels to other roof areas. I inherited the system from a previous owner.
Jeff provided a very thorough, considered detailed response on what my options were. And it turned out the best answer was... leave as is and not spend any money!
I was very relieved to find someone so professional and knowledgeable. He responded promptly and in detail. I would recommend him to others and would have no hesitation in using him for anything to do with my existing installation should the need arise.
