One of the absolutely worst companies I have ever dealt with. TLDR: Promised in late January (29th) to install my battery prior to the rebate ending in May, reconfirmed this in March and April, but didn't. Still holding my $500 deposit.

They never had any intention of installing my system, never sent the batteries, never organised a local installer.

Promised a co-worker (in march) their and my system could be installed prior to may at the same time but have never got back to him with anything prior to the changes.

Clearly they only used the contract to prevent me from using another company so they could flog a more expensive system to me after the rebate changes.
Constant lies leading up to the changes that it would be installed until it was too late to do anything about it. They eventually admitted in a phone call they had booked too many slots and were prioritising larger cities.

I confirmed with the network provider that EnergyBite never even applied for approval for the installation at my address.

I still have no system.

They still have my deposit as of the 2nd of July after informing me in May they could no longer fulfil my original contract, even at a higher price.

I will update this review with the date my $500 deposit is returned - if it ever is. No update, they still have it. Avoid this mob at all costs - it hurt giving them even 1 star. (wrote the review while on hold to them).

UPDATE: Deposit returned at 11:14pm on the 2nd July (5 months after paying it - 7 weeks after telling me it would be returned!!!) - only after leaving reviews and threatening to go through the courts. I will now be pursuing them for damages through the courts - I'll update this if anything comes of it.

I dealt with Jayden at energy bite. Long story short, stuffed around for 3 months without an install date. I got jack of it, asked for a refund, still waiting for said refund, nobody answers emails. I had to CC in multiple staff to get an answer.

1. Tried to get me to pay deposit before sending contract. (First warning sign)
2. Signed a contract on 18th March 2026.
3. Didn't hear anything for a month, so I send them an email asking for an update.
4. They tell me there's going to be a price increase, even though it was initially promised that they would sell me a system at pre-rebate price.
5. 30 April, We negotiate new price and system build, I agree to go ahead.
6. 21 May, May was when they said that we would be installing the system when I signed the first contract. Reality, not even a hint of an install date.
7. Emailed twice asking for updates and asked for refund 26th May.
8. On the 27th of May the install team sends me an email and says lets get things going. No mention of my previous emails. I proceed to tell the install team that I have cancelled my order and requested refund.
9. 1st June, still no reply from anyone. I email again including all installers, sales team, general info email. Threatening to involve regulatory bodies and office of fair trade and finally get a response saying a refund will be issued.
10. 5th June, still no refund.
