The most sorry excuse for management and leadership. Zero respect and support for new employees. Managers don’t train or provide feedback. Half the time people don’t know answers to questions. No one knew who to fix things like admin permissions or the badly designed storage rooms with hazards and disposable workstations. Simply lack of policy, documented procedures and processes. Expect to work perfectly while others blame you for angry customers. Directors are probably under qualified and hanging on to their last straw until governance realise what a mess the office floor looks. Why treat a third line engineer with a first line role and make them perform over 7 percent above metrics? You probably planning to outsource since even the long runners drop their heads and sigh everyday.

We engaged Ekco as our MSP and, over time, the overall experience never reached acceptable standards across support, project delivery, and account management.
On the support side, response times were consistently poor, even though our ticket volume was very low (often 0–1 tickets per month). Basic requests required repeated follow-ups, and weekly ticket chasing and meetings became common just to get updates or movement. This created unnecessary disruption for users and internal teams.
Project delivery was another weak area. There was a lack of ownership, inconsistent communication, and little sense of accountability. Tasks were often delayed or not followed through properly, and we ended up having to chase progress far more than expected for an MSP of this size.
A major issue was the instability of the team. Over time, several of the stronger engineers we initially worked with left, and we went through multiple account managers. This constant turnover made it difficult to build continuity or trust, and service quality declined as a result.
The Microsoft licensing setup has also always been problematic, but this was more a symptom of a wider issue: slow response, poor coordination, and lack of follow-through. Requests for changes were delayed, and billing was unnecessarily complex, adding extra pressure on our finance processes.
Despite raising concerns consistently over a long period and receiving repeated assurances that things would improve, there was no meaningful change. Decisions to move away were delayed internally based on those assurances, but the promised improvements never materialised.
The most concerning part was the offboarding process. After providing formal notice under a monthly rolling agreement, we requested a straightforward transition of Microsoft licensing back under our control. Despite multiple follow-ups, this was not handled in a timely manner.
Overall, the experience highlighted ongoing issues around responsiveness, ownership, and team stability, ultimately leading us to move to a more reliable and better-aligned support model.
