The website is gone, not one answers our phone calls, and no solar panels showed up.

Just a heads up that this company went into administration as of the 29th of June, I would recommend contacting HIES insurance.

Took nearly £4k of my money and entered liquidation. No communication from them whatsoever. DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY

I had a great experience with Effective Home. They were incredibly quick to respond to my enquiry after a year of installation and made the whole process straightforward. What really stood out was that they actually called me before they sent an email, just to make sure they fully understood what I needed. That level of customer service is becoming rare these days and was very much appreciated.

Right from the start of our Teams meeting I knew I was engaging with a professional advisor who was dealing specifically with exactly what I wanted in a new solar system for my property. Previous dealings with other companies were disregarded due to pressure of sales, sign today etc.
it was refreshing to see that Adam G had already done his research and immediately showed me the proposed system for my house, making the amendments on the screen in front of me as I made my choices in upgrading my requirements. He was obviously an expert in his field. He then advised on various discounts available to me through my bank, and from the equipment suppliers. I was delighted by his approach- even more so with the up front guaranteed competitive price.
It was a pleasure to deal with Adam and Effective Home.

Useless after sales care. My experience with the company has been very hit and miss. The sales person I initially dealt with was professional and appeared knowledgeable. Unfortunately the scaffolders who I assume were sub contractors, damaged numerous things on my property, were seen urinating in the garden and left litter. Then the installers were great, did a neat job and really assisted with setup of the apps. Unfortunately after a few months my newly installed EV charger developed a fault. I informed the company, they did nothing. I have called numerous time and was faced with excuses and no progress. I have emailed complaining, nothing. I was forced to purchased another EV from else where else to allow me to get to work. I asked them to collect theirs and refund me. They collect it. 2 months have passed since the original fault and I am yet to see the refund.

Do not use Effective Homes for Solar Panels as there after care for problems after installation is very poor and there communication is appalling

Again a planned date for Effective Homes to repair the damage roof felt on the 2nd July nobody has come to do the work and no communication from Effective Homes

So far not impressing me at all. Had a survey … if you can call. It that , a phone conversation . The other two suppliers came to site

Very keen to take a deposit on 12 June . Then nothing…

23 rd today … rang them Friday . No record of any survey scheme plan or deposit. Send proof which I did bank statement phone records texts . Said they’d get back .

A message on phone yesterday with no record of any progress…. it’s .probable now need to ask for deposit back as nothing seem to be happening

I dint feel I can NOT trust them and wonder if they ever did deliver a system it would allow grid independence. A big wish after being off grid a week recently ….that the other two didn’t offer at the same price

Had a survey today from Johnathon Hancock from effective home recommended from British Gas . Very knowledgeable with the products he sells and I look forward to the installation of my new home solar installation

As previously mentioned in the post which I cannot find on here. Maybe taken down. The install was done as it should be but left the blue coloured cable going from inverter to mains fuse. The black coloured box was damaged and after getting a call from a manager. She refused to take responsibility on the electricians work. They previously told me that the electrician they used isn’t replying. Told them Effective Homes and get the fuse box replaced and invoice him to pay as it was under your business name. She keeps telling that is wasn’t done by the electrician but would have to call Western Power to sort this out. Who said it’s Effective Homes who needs to sort this out. Why don’t you take responsibility for your work?

Initially the contact with the company was good staff helpful etc . However, due to a mistake by their surveyor regarding our roof tiles, only noticed when the fitters came along to compete the installation we were not able to go ahead. They sent us another quotation considerably more than the original quote. We decided not to go ahead. We have been offered a refund of the amount we paid ,whilst expecting the installation to go ahead. We were told that the money would be in our account within 10 working days. We are still waiting, 15 working days later. Customer service said yesterday that they would contact me either by phone or email. As yet I haven't heard anything.

Excellent sales and planning phase followed by great installation. Everything solar and batteries working fine. Great follow up as well.

Initial appt was ok with planning etc but once deposit was taken there was a complete lack of communication.

I hadn't heard anything for months and had to chase myself to be that my order had been cancelled as they didn't have any installers in area.

However this had not been communicated to me and involved me doing all the work to find out the issue

Once this was advised I provided bank details so deposit could be refunded but not refund appeared after 2wks with no communication again.

I again had to chase and find out the issue and was told that it was "guaranteed" it would be refunded before the HIES insurance ran out but this was not the case so I had to make a claim through insurers

Essentially they have taken and kept my money and not provided any communication on problems and this is now in the hand of insurance

I feel conned

Avoid using Effective Home at all costs. Slow to help when things go wrong and poor quality install.

We had a Tesla PW3 and Gateway installed 1 year ago by this company. They would not install the Gateway where we wanted it under the guise of 'It can't go there' and instead did a shocking job inside our house without care. They use contractors who are paid the aboluste minimum so just want to be in and out as fast as possible. We since have had another authorised Tesla installer round who commented to us this was one of the worst looking installs they've seen and the Gateway could have definitely gone where we wanted it, it would have just taken a little longer to install.

Fast Forward one year, the Gateway has broken and it's taken 10 days so far to get a response from the company to try and get someone out to look at it, to be told it's then a futher long wait as they have to speak to the engineer that did the install.

I wish I'd used a local firm and will forever regret the decision to this firm.

The team under Luke Sallis were both cheerful and helpful with the design and istallation of solar panels and battery storage

A remote survey to install solar panels was done, but it should have been an in-person process. I was sent an email with the drawing of the installation plan addressed with the name of another client. I then sent a reply with a question and never heard back from the employee providing the drawing. If I was rating another person working for Effective Home in this process, my initial POC did a stellar job, I would rate him a 5 star. He has been exceptional and answered every question thoroughly. Also, the team who did the install today were great and other than only 1 of the 3 batteries showing up to start with, everything went smoothly.
