It was very salty and tough after cooking

Thank you for your review Sarah. The Wigwam ham will be saltier and drier because it has been aged longer.

Loved this ham. We cut it up and portion it out to use throughout the year. We cannot buy anything like this at our groceries. Thank you!

Gave us a different option for a holiday meal. Then came the soups and other meals using it. I even would cut a hunk off to chew on it.

Thank you James for leaving us a 5 star review! We are delighted to hear that you and your family were satisfied with your purchase of the Wigwam ham!
All I can say was it had an "off" flavor and I tossed it. I really WANTED to like it but it wasn't like the hams I remember from years ago.

The ham was one of the best country hams I've had in years (Edwards wigwam).

Thank you Kevin for your review! We are delighted that you were satisfied with your purchase and hope that we can continue to serve you in the future!
Being a fifth generation Californian on one side, I can confirm country hams are a rarity out here; but being a 14 generation Virginian on the other, I do know what a good country ham should be. Wigwam was the ham our Virginia relatives sent us at Christmas when I was a kid, and they're still the quintessential Virginia country ham. We gave them as presents this Christmas and had the pleasure of watching our kids and their kids discover Virginia ham before our eyes. The flavor, texture, and history were all sublime.

Thank you for your purchase Randolph! We value our customers feedback and do hope that you will be back to visit us soon!
It's a very good ham, to be sure. But, to be candid, it's not really any better than "local" hams I can get around North Carolina. It's biggest draw, for me, is that "allegedly" it hails from Virginia...which is what I want (for Christmas celebration, as that's what we always had for the 50+ years I can remember).

I am used to the Smithfield ham with the pepper coating. It’s just our tradition but overall I think it was good quality Virginia ham.

Taken to beach vacation with 15 family members. All members rated it as the best ever consumed. I’ve been purchasing Virginia hams of varying kinds for 50 years and this one far exceeded all in and taste.. Will never purchase another brand . Outstanding !!!

This ham is the Rolls Royce of all Ham. You pay more but the taste is exceptional, you will never be disappointed by the taste. You would think because of the age it will be salty but it not . Like a fine wine it aged for perfection.

This ham was a gift for Christmas. Send them one every year. I get a smaller wigwam for me. Always highest quality and delicious flavor to savor. Can’t beat a WigWam ham.

It stank after cooking. I almost threw the whole thing out. No one got sick. It was rank.
