easyStorage - Hertfordshire Arvostelua 

Hi,
I would like to raise a serious complaint regarding the service we received from Easy Storage Hertfordshire on 2 September.
Please be very careful when dealing with Easy Storage Hertfordshire, as they put us through an extremely stressful and difficult situation on the day of our move.
We were moving from a 5/6-bedroom house, yet they arrived with only two trucks and insufficient manpower. We were told that the vans were full, and as a result, we had to use our own family, friends and neighbours to help with the move, including my 18-year-old son.
The whole process was extremely slow and, in our experience, the staff appeared very nonchalant and showed very little care or consideration for the situation we were in. They knew that we had sold our house and that the new owners were due to move in on the same day, so we had a strict deadline to vacate the property.
Despite this, they did not provide enough manpower or vehicles to complete the move on time.
We also expected them to assist with packing, but we ended up having to pack most of our belongings ourselves with the help of other people and a friend's van that we moved our things into. We also had to store many of things in our neighbours' garage. Our furniture was also not handled with the level of care we would have expected from a professional moving company.
Because Easy Storage was unable to move everything out on time, we had to beg our neighbours to allow us to store some of our belongings in their garage overnight, with Easy Storage collecting the remaining items the following day.
On top of all of this, our price was increased by £650.
The consequences of the delay were also financially significant. Because we were unable to vacate the property on time, the buyer charged us £430 for moving out late.
What is most disappointing is that, despite everything we experienced, Easy Storage Hertfordshire has still not offered us an apology or properly acknowledged what happened.
We paid for a professional moving service, but instead we were left to rely on our own family, friends and neighbours, deal with the stress of missing the deadline, and incur additional costs.
We feel that this situation was completely unacceptable, and we would like Easy Storage Hertfordshire to properly address our complaint, explain why there was insufficient manpower and why only two trucks were provided for a 5/6-bedroom house with 3 reception rooms yet they had barely any manpower and explain the additional £650 charge.
Most importantly, we would like an acknowledgement of what happened and a formal apology for the way we were treated and the financial loss and stress this situation caused us.
I look forward to receiving your response as we have already complained to them several times.

The management and staff are the most friendly and professional people you can meet. My stored possessions were carefully looked after over a long period of time with no fear of any issues. A well organised and slick operation that you can trust with your goods.

It was the first time I used a company like this but I'm so glad I did. Andy and James were super helpful and made the whole process so easy. They were so careful with everything, used floor and door protectors and I was confident from the start that they would look after my stuff. They were polite and friendly. They didn't even complain about the awkward access to my flat. I would definitely use them again. They were amazing!!

Now I know why they call it EASY storage! Andy and James showed up to my place and were incredibly kind and efficient. They spoke to me and asked me at multiple stages if there was anything they could help with to make things easier. They also got my massive tv in a box and out the door when I had originally thought I would have to sell it cause it was too big to move. Andy and James brought smiles, strength to move heavy items with ease and were in and out in under 45 mins even though I had a significant amount of items to move. Wow, I would definitely recommend them!

I made my experience more complicated than it needed to be by listening to advice from a 3rd party after I’d booked my move collection with Easy Storage.

Nevertheless, my original conversation and quote, direct conversation with Darren the site manager, and the actual collection of my boxes and furniture, everything went better than I had hoped for. Shout out to the aforementioned Darren and the 2 gents who came on the day - Andy and his colleague whose name I didn’t ask for - all three of them were excellent and made the whole process as easy for me as possible.

My bad, I should have never listened to that 3rd party.

Personable and efficient service. Items picked up and locked away in a pod. Will definitely use again if needed.
