They reversed my share purchase after the 2 weeks when the price went up by more than 20% during that period.

What is the point of investing through them if they have the right to reverse a purchase when they feel like?

What is stopping them from doing it to me in future again?

I am taking out all my investments and moving to Shyft.

The withdrawal process is one of the worst parts of this platform.

Putting money into EasyEquities is simple enough. But when you want to withdraw your own funds, suddenly there are lock-up periods, waiting periods and rules that can leave your money unavailable for up to 60 days if it was deposited by debit order.

Yes, 60 days.

I contacted support because I couldn't withdraw my funds, and their response confirmed that debit order deposits are subject to a 60-day lock-up period. Apparently this is to protect the business from ***** and "bad actors."

I understand that financial platforms need ***** controls. What I don't understand is why a legitimate customer should potentially have their own money locked away for two months.

They are very quick to take your money. Getting it back is another story entirely.

And judging by the number of other complaints about withdrawals, this clearly isn't an isolated frustration.

If you are considering using EasyEquities, read their withdrawal and deposit lock-up rules very carefully before putting money in. Do not assume that because the money appears in your account, you'll be able to withdraw it when you need it.

For a platform built around making investing "easy," getting access to your own money should not feel this difficult.

Made money for me up to now but they have shown their incompetence in not being able to register my account with Capitec. Thus I am not able to withdraw any funds. People I have dealt with don’t even respond to the information I send them. The so called Team is a joke.

Unable to get my funds released. Been pending for two weeks. Submitted numerous support tickets, no resolution. The FSCA should investigate and review them. I am a retiree and urgently need my cash. It is not a loan or advance. It is my cash and I should be allowed to move when I want to.

EasyEquities can be trusted and it works. The interface is, however, very unfriendly to users. It can be made much more clean and easier to use. Look at the interface of Trading212, for example. The latter is what EE should strive for.

I cannot give them full marks as I have not yet done any other transaction other than just investing a small amount. I am not happy though with the returns but they show some positive movement. I am also a bit perturbed by the negative sentiments expressed by fellow investors without any show of response by EE. It makes it really difficult to throw more money into such a platform.

I just lost close to R400 on Easy Equites. My entire account was taken away from me, close! I can not even get the help I need.

Appalling service, had tried over a week to have my bank account verified for a withdrawal the original seed money was paid from the same account so no excuses. Would stay clear and use other professional traders, these people are scammers 😡😡😡

I am extremely disappointed with the handling of my unit transfer request by EasyEquities.

What should have been a relatively straightforward transfer has turned into a drawn-out and frustrating experience with repeated delays, confusion, and lack of proactive communication.

I work within the broader financial services industry and understand these processes well enough to know where delays typically originate. In this case, the receiving institution has acted promptly and professionally throughout. The bottleneck has clearly been on the EasyEquities side.

At various points I had to follow up myself for updates, clarify misunderstandings around the nature of the transfer, and escalate matters simply to get basic progress. The communication has been reactive rather than proactive, and turnaround times have been far below what I would reasonably expect for a financial services provider handling client investments.

The most frustrating part is not even the delay itself, but the lack of ownership and transparency during the process.

Clients trust platforms like EasyEquities with their investments and financial futures. Administrative transfer processes should be handled with significantly more urgency, accuracy, and accountability than what I experienced.

At this point, I expect EasyEquities to urgently take ownership of this matter, provide clear accountability on the outstanding delays, and finalise my transfer without any further unnecessary back-and-forth.

This process has already taken far longer than it reasonably should have (more than 2 months!), and I would appreciate immediate action to resolve it conclusively.

I had a very frustrating experience trying to delete my EasyEquities account. The process is unnecessarily complicated and poorly explained.

One of the requirements is to clear out all holdings, including demo accounts, but this was not clearly communicated. As someone unfamiliar with how a “sell order” works, I found the process confusing and not user-friendly at all. On the Android app, the option to sell assets is buried under multiple tabs, making it difficult to find and execute.

The website states that you can request to close your account by contacting the Client Experience team, yet there are no clear contact details provided on the account closure page. This lack of transparency is unacceptable. I attempted to submit a support ticket, but there wasn’t even a relevant category for account closure or deletion, which made the process even more frustrating.

I eventually had to resort to contacting support via WhatsApp just to initiate the process. Even then, I’ve been told I must wait several days for demo sell orders to process before my account can be closed.

To make matters worse, their own Privacy Policy states that they retain user data even after account closure. Specifically, it says: “we are required to retain your records for a period of 5 years after our business relationship has terminated.”

This raises serious concerns around data privacy and user rights, particularly in relation to the POPIA Act in South Africa which gives users the right to request deletion of their personal information and data at any time.

Using EasyEquities has been an unnecessarily difficult and stressful experience. I do not recommend this platform for beginners looking to start learning about investing/shares at all.

The lack of clarity, poor user experiencel and inadequate customer support will make the journey very confusing.

Easy withdrawal process, more educational and information platform for personal development. Never had issues with either investing/reinvesting or withdrawal process. I took time to read in this already made, available & made easy information in order to empower myself so as to understand and grow f5om this amazing platform.

Easy equity forces you to engage on some weird loyalty points. if not you account goes to negative.
IF I want engagement I will go Facebook. this is not a platform for that.

Ow yeah they charge you every month for that. your account will go to negative to a point where they sell your stock to cover those weird shit.

Absolutely shocking service level. I have been trying to withdraw my own funds from EE for over 2 months. Nobody responds to my tickets, emails, and there’s no phone line to contact them. Essentially, they are holding cash that doesn’t belong to them with zero repercussions. The moment I get my money out, I’m closing my account. There are so many better platforms globally.

If there was less than 1 star I would use it. Actually less than 1. How can they be so bad!! Quickly removing all my international shares from them , very concerning they hold millions of rands of my money and do not reply to tickets at all!!! Absolutely disgusting. There is not even a complaints option on their tickets. Still waiting for my international shares to be transferred over 2 months later. Soon will be legal action

I initially brought up an issue with the system site in November 2025, which meant that I was unable to deposit funds into my account and was subsequently charged the Thrive fee, although I proactively reached out to support to find ways to deposit with no response. After the fact I then requested the fee to be removed and reimbursed as I had no way of achieving "Thrive status" these tickets and requests were ignored and never resolved. It has now been over 4 months and still no support and no solution. The platform is good, but if you ever encounter any issues the support is poor and non-responsive this is sadly the second issue with my account, and it continues to be a case of awful customer service.

No help NO response even on Purple complain email!! Pathetic service STAY away from Easy Equities!!!!! Very very frustrating !!
