Looks Good on the Surface, but Severely Lacks Support Where It Matters
While DUVE offers a visually appealing and modern experience on the guest side, the internal operations are extremely complicated and far from user-friendly. The onboarding process was essentially limited to showing me where things were located, without providing any meaningful customization or adaptation to my actual needs. The platform is rigid, difficult to configure, and lacks the flexibility required to properly personalize workflows across different booking platforms — something I had effortlessly with my previous provider for over four years.
The only reason I switched to DUVE was because of its polished interface and the promise of a smoother, faster experience for guests. Unfortunately, that aesthetic upgrade came at the cost of functionality and reliability. I now realize that this was a regrettable decision.
Beyond the complexity and lack of flexibility, the biggest issue is DUVE’s poor support. DUVE is quick to bill you — even for services they never delivered — yet extremely slow or unwilling to resolve essential problems. I spent more than a month going back and forth with their team for basic features that should work out of the box. For example, ensuring that guest access codes are sent 12 hours before check-in remains unresolved to this day, despite multiple tickets, confirmations, and ongoing communication with their IT team.
To make matters worse, DUVE failed to activate their branded WhatsApp number for more than three months, yet continued to charge me for this service throughout the entire period. This kind of lack of accountability and follow-through is incredibly frustrating and unprofessional.
Overall, DUVE did not deliver on the promises that made me switch to them in the first place. Instead of simplifying my operations, they added layers of complexity and ongoing issues that require constant follow-up. I invested a significant amount of money into DUVE, and I genuinely regret onboarding with them. I sincerely hope DUVE improves its support, flexibility, and commitment to its users, because at this stage, it falls well below even basic expectations.
