I bought a car from Dunway cars Andy who sold the car was very helpful and the car was amazing excellent customer service from dunway cars

Got a 2015 corsa from here. Was told all exhaust issues would be fixed before I got it, still having problems. Had the car 10 minutes and it was overheating. They had broke the thermostat while delivering the car to me. Car also doesnt go into gear randomly so would avoid unless you want a half working car. Over £3000 down the drain.

Went to get daughter car put deposit down after looking at pictures over weekend of car. Noticed car had black tape at back of car next to back wheels covering rust obviously. Called back to cancel car advised to stop chip marks definitely rust. Had lucky escape thank god didn’t buy. At 3.5k total crooks don’t waste your money.

Great wee place. Cars was presented to a high standard and it was a very easy, hassle free process. Car delivered straight to my door a few days after purchase. Thanks again

Awful experience. Avoid. Purchase of the car went fine but I noticed water in on of the headlights which I raised with Andy straight away. Promise after promise was made to get the car in to rectify the problem but I just got excuse after excuse. By this point I realised I had not received my new V5 which was about 4 weeks after purchase and had to request that direct from DVLA. Andy also stated the car had been serviced and would send on the invoice, Guess what?-it never ever appeared despite several requests for it. I sure got a whole raft of excuses too. Staff being ill, no courtesy cars available plus he offered to even come and pick and drop off my car but in the end none of this happened. Dreadful garage. You have been warned.

I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing a used Mokka from Dunway Cars in August 2023.

Within weeks, the car was overheating. We discovered what could only be described as a 'mound' of hot glue, stuck to the coolant reservoir, where a clear leak had tried to be disguised.

After weeks of discussions between my finance, Zuto and Andy at Dunway, it was agreed that a garage local to myself (Aberdeen) would investigate.

Despite the initial repair being carried out to completion, the car continued to fault for different issues connected to the coolant reservoir. A total of 3 times the coolant reservoir leaked over a 6 month period, in different ways.

I phoned my finance who advised they needed a report to activate the 'right to reject'. I phoned Andy at Dunway to advise him of the situation, and received a barraged of abuse, with Andy advising he had 'airtight terms and conditions that would ruin me'.

Despite receiving confirmation I can pursue 'right to reject', I have decided to cut my losses on the Mokka (rather than wait out the lengthy rejection process), which does mean I carry £1300 in negative equity onto my new car.

Its incredibly frustrating that clearly, this seller has done this before and continues to do so, and even more frustrating he'd gotten away with it in my case.
I kick myself I didn't read the reviews.

Avoid this garage like the plague. Andy is a con man. Problem with a car I purchased didn't call back had to constantly phone. Problem with air con wouldn't fix. Eventually refunded me £100 to cover part of repair and promised a 2nd key but never arrived. This guy Andy is a rude and arrogant. KEEP AWAY!

I am not happy with the service that they have given me. I called the garage owner several times but received no response If someone did not respond with a sufficient solution. I bought my car may 2023. now find a problem about that: the engine oil burn inside the engine. I try to fix it by paying my money, but it cannot be fixed. It has taken 6 months to show that no body takes responsibility for wasting my hard earn money. Do not waste your money going there

Cowboy used car salesmen. We were told that list of issues flagged in the previous MOT had been fixed, but this was a straight up lie. In actual fact the dodgy MOT centre across the road had put a clean MOT on the car without addressing any of the previous advisories. On top of this the salesman was rude, pushy and aggressive, particularly when called out on their lies.

I am so happy with my car thank you. After reading the reviews i still went ahead and picked a car. Let me tell you that i am soo glad i did. Andy is straight to the point no messing about, unlike many sales men that pester you trying to make a purchase. (Some people like this but i don't). He arranged delivery too which was perfect. Reccomended to my friends. Dont disregard a buisness due to reviews go for yourself and make your own mind up. Thanks again to andy and the team. 5*

I had to give this seller 1 star to post this feedback otherwise I would have given a zero rating. I wish I had looked at all the negative reviews prior to purchase. These cars are a bit cheaper for a reason.
The car I purchased in Feb 23 was not ready on the collection day as a number of outstanding issues previously agreed were not fixed. I ended up having to go back to this garage a number of times which was very stressful in itself as I was made to feel like a nuisance and unwelcome.
Aftersales is non existent and dangerous should you have a problem with the car. Indeed, I encountered verbal aggression from Andy the owner when I took the car back with clutch issues. He proceeded to drive the car at around 80mph on a 30mph country road, which was terrifying. He was continually shouting and was confrontationally insisting that there was nothing wrong with the car. I did have one last tel conversation with Andy regarding another issue, but again he was abusive on the phone, so much so, I had to hang up.
On the sale of purchase, I was given a 3 month (Plan 2) warranty booklet provided by Momentum Care so I gave them a call to claim on the policy. However, they required a product number as they're number plate search for my car could not be found on their system. No such product number was ever provided to me by Dunway car sales at any time. In the end I had to make my own private arrangements.
I thought that this local sales outlet would have provided me with a local professional service, but unfortunately, I received the exact opposite. So if you are looking for a good quality after service this is probably not the right choice for you.

On buying the car. Couldn't have been nicer and very helpful. However once sale complete then all changes.

Still waiting 6 months on a part for bumper which I was told at the time of sale was on its way to garage and tgey would post out to me...... Still waiting !!!
No log book received and told 6 months later to apply for new one .

Having contacted DVLA was told that new log book was never requested.

So again not interested !!!!

Typical, have had your money and no longer interested......

Nice selection of cars, priced very competitively. The owner, Andy, is very straight talking, and doesn't pressure you in any way. Simply, he lets the cars and their prices sell themselves.

But what I really want to compliment him on is his after sales. I had a couple of issues with the car I bought, and on both occasions Andy rectified the problem. A lot of second hand car salesmen wash their hands after they've completed the sale, but my experience with Dunway couldn't be more different.

I will absolutely look to Dunway in the future if/when I need a new second hand car, and cannot recommend them highly enough.

Bought a BMW 3 series from Dunway Cars. It was extremely well presented and was priced very competitively. Hassle free purchase and the remedial work we asked to be attended to was sorted out. I found the owner Andy to be a fairly straightforward guy to deal with. No complaints and would not hesitate to use again

Avoid this place wouldn't touch with a barge pole . Was reluctant to give one star . Sold me a car that had a fake mot . Took my hard earned money sold me a pile of crap .

Avoid this cowboy outfit. Lot of dodgy old high mileage auction motors being sold by pea brained fly men. Don't be fooled by the 43 good reviews on another site. These great reviews clearly written by the same person every few days and that particular sites reviews are ridiculously easy to fake. The owners also got his buddy's to stick on good reviews here and there elsewhere to try and take the edge of the true reviews which let you know not to come here. A quick bit of quick research reveals some of the fake ones. Pay attention to the bad reviews, there's a reason why they are there. Do yourself a favour and avoid this poundshop car garage. Anyone with half a brain will see right through these guys in 2 seconds. Buy your car elsewhere.

I definitely do not recommend and would stay away from this place at all costs! I made a mistake and did not read the reviews before buying. I did not even have the car a day and there were already problems. There is a reason these scammers sell cheap cars. The cars are broken, they do not repair them and have their garage next door do a fake MOT. They tell you they have fixed and serviced the car when that is all a lie. I would not believe a word these people tell you and I’d advise you to do an MOT at a different garage after buying a car from there because there will be a list of things that need done to the car.

I done an MOT at a private garage because the car broke after I got home. The owner insinuated that I was lying because the car already had a clean MOT so there shouldn’t be anything wrong with it. After a whole list of things that needed to be repaired came out on the MOT the owner refused to repair the car, took it back and I received a refund. I was lucky that I paid with a credit card and the money was protected by the bank, however I think that it would have been much harder to get my money back if I paid with cash. The owner is now selling this car again and I do not believe he has repaired it, he probably gave it to the same garage that done the fake MOT in the first place. I would never buy from here again!

Recently bought a car from them; my experience here was fantastic, I couldn't be happier. With just a total of 3 phone calls, a deposit was made, finance arranged and delivery organised. The car itself is in outstanding condition with a 3-month warranty and Andy assured me if there were any problems, just to get in touch. Would definitely deal with this company again. An altogether pleasant experience from a team that are very proud of their cars, so as a customer, you can be guaranteed a great deal.

Been a loyal customer here for a few years now. Any problems they go above and beyond to help (picking car up from house, dropping off courtesy car, covering repair costs and delivery back to my house). Cars always presented immaculate aswell! A great service all round!
