Drive mate Arvostelua 

Drive mate becomes increasingly better. Years ago when I first started using the app I had my doubts but they have since improved dramatically and they keep improving the app greatly.
Especially the customer support improved significantly with all of my issues being solved officially fairly and so I can understand it. The latest great experience with Rosemarie from the support team, helping me successfully with a small issue is just one of many good examples.
Keep the good work up guys and keep investing in and promoting your competent support team

Horrible experience. DO NOT RENT WITH THEM, they owe me 200$ for a refund and compensation due to their failures in delivering service. Yet 4 months after they still haven’t given me my money back. I have called over 13 times and everytime they just say, we have followed up with the respective teams and they will contact you. No one contacts me and they keep hanging up on me whenever I try to call for an update. This is a complete scam, do NOT use them.

I strongly advise against using Drive Mate.
I was charged for a parking fine that was issued three days after my rental period had already ended—something that should never have been attributed to me in the first place. It gets worse: the company then shared my personal details with the vehicle owner, who proceeded to contact me directly in an aggressive and threatening manner. That is a serious breach of privacy and completely unacceptable.
Months after the trip, Drive Mate also deducted an additional $51 from my account without any prior notice, claiming it was for “inconvenience”—presumably related to their own mishandling of my personal information. There was no transparency, no warning, and no consent.
Attempts to resolve these issues have been incredibly frustrating. Emails and queries are simply ignored, leaving customers with no real support or accountability.
On top of all that, the actual vehicle I rented was in terrible condition—filthy, poorly maintained, and genuinely difficult to drive safely. It clearly needed servicing and should never have been listed as available.
For context, I was a frequent user of Car Next Door and never had a single issue. The difference in service and professionalism is stark.
Do yourself a favour and avoid the stress—look into alternatives like GoGet instead.

Melvin was very helpful when my verification failed. He talked me through the steps needed. The outside of the car was dirty and he said he would inform the owner of this feedback! The verification process is quite excessive but he made the process a lot easier so would definitely recommend him

I needed assistance for my trip and this has been the first time that I've used this platform. It is very easy to use, very easy to get assistance and my concern was also easily resolved by Edelyn. Will continue to use Drivemate from now on.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. We rented a car and the app would not let us check in. We were running late and the app was unresponsive so we were unable to extend the rental. Got charged a $30 "inconvenience fee" even though we tried to extend but were unable to due to app malfunction. We couldn't upload any photos for the same reason but sent a photo of the odometer later as we were charged three times the fuel usage we actually used. They ignored it. We are still waiting for a resolution, money has been charged and customer service is silent despite multiple reminders. Terrible company, terrible service. Get a goget instead.

We parked the car after using driver’s mate in the place we were told to. They now keep sending us parking fines! There are now 3 fines for 3 separate offences, despite all the fines being on dates we weren’t in the country. We have emailed them over and over again to give us details of these fines when we were not even in the Country!!! We are still awaiting a response!!!!!!!! I would not use this company again

The worst experience ever. Made bookings from the host: Terry’s hire, twice! Both bookings were waste of time and effort. First booking North Melbourne, description was pick up key from host, Terry the host didn’t show up, didn’t even bother to response, answer my call or message me. Second booking, same host, Docklands van. Arrived at pick up location, then only he sent throught instruction, told me to download external keyless unlock app on the spot, under the rain! Tried multiple times, he told me the battery was flat, can’t access the van. Come on man! Is this how you operate your business? Leave your van there for years and still advertise it on the platform? What if other guest drove half way then it broke down? So irresponsible!

Terry then re direct me to another car in city. I have to drive all the way to city to pick up the van. No clear instruction given on how to pick up the van, therefore I ended up have to pay the parking fine in the parking center. He is the one who told me I can use his access card to tap in & out of the parking center, now I have to pay $100 fine for his irresponsibility. The main point is how can drivemate didn’t even bother to have a routine check on these kind of irresponsible host? And charge me $100 beforehand, without investigating the case. 2 out of 2 bookings with you guys was unsuccessful! Is this a joke? A platform to waste money and time?

Although I was disappointed that the car wasn’t in the pick up location that stated on the app and I had to cancel Melvin rectified the problem very quickly and I was very grateful
